Had a 12 yr old Bruichladdich for Xmas. Finished it off last night. Absolutely excellent, smoother and less peaty than other Islays. Definitely into my all time top 10.

If they do as well as my local club, Reading, with their Irish signings, they'll be a force to be reckonned with.

This isn't a text messaging service, try writing in English if you want people to respond to you. However, the point you made is a good one.

I don't think I'm just reacting to a bad result, but I'm with the majority who think enough is enough when it comes to Black's antics. He must have the worst disiplinary record in Scottish football, and yesterday's petulance is just the last straw. I say get shot of him now, if we can get some dough for him, although I suspect his poor temperament will put many managers off him and have an adverse affect on his potential value. I'm not with those 'give him another chance, he's only young' softies. He has been playing SPL football for nearly 3 years now and should have learned how to behave by now. Get him out!

My memory of the playing fields, going back to the late 50s is being allowed to go down there in free periods to prepare the cricket pitch for home matches. The groundsman (somebody Fraser ?) would cut the square with the old gang mower behind the tractor, and then and one or two other team members and I would get the old hand mower and hand roller out and get to work on the actual pitch. All with David Thom's blessing of course. Sometimes it worked. I well remember beating the Abbey (Fort Augustus) and Gordonstoun in one memorable summer.

I'm with those who think he should be talking to Charlie first, not the papers. Suspect he'll be with another team next season.

In the late 50s, prices were about 1 shilling front stalls, 1/6 back stalls, 2/3 back balcony and 2/9 front balcony. Back stalls were the most popular if you went with a girlfriend, but I'm struggling to remember why!!

They're not all bad. Just before the Dunfermline game I saw a lady steward take a bottled soft drink off a yougster in front of me in the North stand. A couple of minutes later she was back returning the drink in a paper cup.
