  1. I went to the toilet on the 40th minute to save queuing at half time, I am not kidding the second my butt hit that seat I heard an almighty roar and immediately knew it was from our end.

Kind of glad we won 2 - 1 because otherwise I would have celebrated our first cup final winner with my trousers around my ankles!

  2. Sturgeon's failure to be more explicit turned people away from Labour in English marginals and was undoubtedly a factor in delivering a majority Tory Government.

the best chance of preventing a Tory government.

The best chance of preventing a tory government was a yes vote last September...

  3. it is hardly fair that, in Scotland, the SNP takes almost all the seats on just over half the popular vote.

For the record, the SNP got just under 50%. So, as with the referendum, they continue to represent the views of a minority of Scots. If you are saying it's just under 50% because you are counting all the unionist parties together then you should follow the same rules for the "nationalist" parties and combine the green votes with the snp's.

  4. I find myself agreeing with Nigel Farage, hopefully in relation to one matter only. Although it benefited the party I support, it is hardly fair that, in Scotland, the SNP takes almost all the seats on just over half the popular vote.

High time the archaic first past the post system for Westminster elections was reformed.

I agree on that. Perhaps if the SNP had properly accepted the referendum result and ruled out a 2nd referendum for the time being whilst campaigning for electoral reform as the price for supporting a labour government, voters in England would have been more inclined to vote labour. But no. The SNP is not into the politics of progressive reform as it claims, it is into the corrosive politics of confrontation and division. It was always a Tory Government that the SNP wanted because a Tory Government unfettered by Lib Dem restraint will harden grievance in Scotland and increase the clamour for a 2nd referendum. Well, we have got a Tory Government now and we can expect a period of acrimonious, confrontational politics. A good day for the SNP maybe but a sad day for Scotland. England voting to leave europe + Scotland voting to stay but forced to leave under the uk = Scottish independence referendum

That is why they didn't and WON'T rule out another referendum.

  5. I love that the public said "no thanks" to most of the politicians from the No campaign and that they think we are "better together" under an snp government.

(this post is dedicated to jim murphy danny alexander douglas alexander ed milliband and nigel farage goodluck at the job center!)

  6. Great victory for the snp last night nicola preformed the best according to the average percentage of the 3 major polls done afterwards.

The fact that nigel got so much support even after the whole "foreigners with hiv stealing nhs money" rant really has me worried and yet all question time could talk about was the past scottish referendum and how bad the nationalists are...

  7. I remember mr spears saying no one said a bad word about the highland clubs this season....

Obiviously he didn't hear more than half of the open all mics pundits at the start of this season predicting that we would be in a relegation battle.

  8. Hideous transfer window for us. Our captain is leaving on a PC to our main rivals who have also strengthened their team with a real good prospect.

Our top scorer leaves for a very small fee when you look at all the other fees getting spent around Scotland.

Dundee utd bring in a few although they have lost 2 good players. 2 million quid will soften that blow. 2 players we incidentally had a the club at one point and left for nothing.

Hamilton who also let a player or 2 go but brought in a good few quid themselves.

We have totally ballsed up this window and we still don't have players signed up who want to stay!!

Last time I checked our captain was foran albeit he hasn't played for over a year.

  9. If we don't sign anyone in the window we better be getting our out of contract players on new deals now and stop the faffing about.

Agreed. And with money from Billy's move and the saving of his wages there should be a little more cash to offer the out of contract players. It is more important to secure some of these players for next season than to splash money on a second rate striker. Meanwhile who knows how Fergusson and Sutherland might develop if given a bit of first team experience.

Do I need to remind you that Billy was a second rate striker when he came here?

Getting our players to sign contracts is something the club should and would have been doing had mckay not left.

We need goals and none of our squad have proven before that they can get 20+ goals for the season and it's a big ask hoping one or two will.
