  1. Agree Raven MOM. Otherwise a pretty dull cold Sunday afternoon but great result helps to even out bad run of luck recently. Post Christmas and a point behind Celtic has to be good whatever the circumstances. Here's to a record breaking 2015.

  2. The only enjoyable moment from the whole afternoon was the sight of a red kite circling above the ground before the game. Maybe a bad omen though.

I hope they don't ban the two eejits that ran on to the pitch. Judging from the attendance figures we need all the fans we can get.

  3. Interesting that the 'neutrals' were apparently supporting Italy last night. Now why might that be?

Me-I'll stick to supporting the Dutch as always and what a flyer they got off to.Just hope they're not as temperamental as usual.

  4. Graham Spier's nominated him for the worst manager of the year on Sportsound this afternoon although to be fair to Boootcher Spiers was probably unaware that he had as at second earlier in the season such is his ignorance of anything north of Kelvinside.

  5. He fell  like he was poleaxed and could have suffered serious concussion with the back of his head hitting the ground so hard. Obviously he did not expect it at all.

A very deliberate and serious assault and it deserved several match bans and a very heavy fine.

Quite right- that Jamie is a big bully. Wee Derek could have got a very nasty bump on his bottom.

  6. Just watched two lower league teams kicking lumps put of each other in a very poor Challenge Cup final. It was suggested on sportsound that Rangers could compete in the SPFL premiership top six but this performance suggested otherwise. Scottish cup semi will be interesting but can Rangers count on promotion next season? Personally I doubt it.

  7. Although Hughes came over very very humble when he took the job, his post match comments suggest that his arrogance is in inverse proportion to the team's success. I don't see him being likely to swallow his pride and admit he doesn't know what he's doing anytime soon.

  8. A significant section of support clearly have doubts about Hughes and presumably players' confidence in the manager is also being tested by our poor recent run. One thing I would say to his credit is that he has talked the players up since coming here. I felt for the first time tonight that his post match comments hinted at blame on some players for not fully buying into his vision. A worrying sign.

  9. I don't really buy into the idea that a style of play which got us to second in the league with the players we have was somehow a wrong style to be fixed for football purist reasons. I would rather see Hughes being able to adapt and get the best out of the players we have and score goals and win games.I agree that he will be very limited in how he can change the squad for next season anyway.

  10. It's all gone a bit off track this. I really just wanted to make a genuine observation about the value of having a really passionate supporter who encourages the crowd to get behind the team. As for the xenophobic stuff it belongs in a bygone age. Even Inverness is a multicultural city these days and I couldn't care less about the accent, skin colour or past football allegiances of my fellow fans as long as they encourage the team. Mr Angry and his two accomplices are worth any number of grumbly mumbly old men regardless of their local pedigree in terms of the impact they have on the match.
