BTW now that Wales are out of the Euro's how much money have Caley earned from their run to the semi's

I'm probably wrong but I read somewhere that for every day that OFW is away from the Caley camp, ICT get roughly $6k. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

  2. I haven't had much time to think about this so I may come back a bit later with a more in-depth plan.

The only thing that comes to mind would be to play a formation of 4-3-3, playing wing-backs allowing players like Storey a lot more freedom to move about up top. Midfield will be compressed in a diamond formation making use of a CAM like Andrew Shinnie or Vincent, which we have missed this season as I feel one of the most important players on the pitch is one who can connect midfield up to the strikers without necessarily needing the width. I would keep with possession football with more emphasis on getting the ball right in front of the opposition defenders. The aim would be to hold the ball there until either a striker breaks the line up or a winger makes space to fire it in to the box.  The good old slice and dice.

Say what you will about Horner but he shows determination and desire to get down the wing. He's only 24 and I'm sure with more first team action and training he may turn out to be quite a diamond in the mud.  I really don't like the reports that Vincent has been offered a pre-contract with Dundee, I really hope he signs for us. I feel that Vincent down the middle as CF/CAM with Doran (when at peak fitness) on the wing is what we are missing this season in terms of linking up the total football passing game to the striker at the front.

  4. In the end of the day, whatever happens with Christie will happen. It would be great to see him stay another year, it would also be great to see a decent offer come in and have him progress. The most important thing for the board is to actually keep a good youth system going. Christie is not the only major asset in Inverness and the highlands.

  5. Until the club and or the player have actually been contacted regarding a move I take this story with a pinch of salt. The press have made a story based on what? My understanding is that we have not been contacted by any club and where the bandied about figures have come from I dont understand.

JH is reported to have said he'd let Christie go if we could keep him on loan. Seems a bit tongue in cheek to me. Why would any club pay a large amount for a player just to let him continue playing for the supplying club especially considering they could get him on pre contract come january and only have a possible development fee to pay.

That is exactly why the club needs to address the issue NOW and not at the end of the year. If we allow Ryan to go in the Jan window under a pre-contract, our board should resign.

A bit harsh considering they are the board who have kept us in the black at the same time as overseeing the most successful period on the field in our history.

So they should put those skills to good use and continue the good work in securing our interests/assets, either by selling on a good deal or signing him up.

  6. There is clearly growing interest from big clubs. What was it last year? Hull and Newcastle right? We need to sign Christie up (if he's willing to stay for a little longer) and raise his value. I'm sure these big clubs will still be interested next season.

  7. I've read in a post match interview with Ross Draper that he is keen to speak to him and try to persuade Marley to stay. Anyone know if there are any contract negotiations going on? Marley Watkins is obviously a key player for us, and it would be a huge deal for us if he left.

  8. Can't say I'm overly confident about this game. The team looks strong, but with two new players that Partick don't know how to play against I was kind of hoping to start them both given our previous results. I would expect to see Kink come on later in the game, with Ofere coming on if Watkins is struggling.

  9. I'm pretty sure everyone saying not to panic is panicking. >_> Just a hunch. As for the result, it happens, I don't feel Shinnie was nearly intense enough today and the entire team fell short. I'm sure Yogi will be having a word with them about this.

Bring on St Johnstone I say.
