  1. http://www.openbible.info/topics/killing_children

a nice insight into the bible...

People can believe what they want but they have to expect that people will question it its just human nature to be inquisitive and it should not impact the way you live your life!

Wow, reading that just made me realise... There is a hell of a lot of gore in the Bible. They should sell it in the fictional horror section of book shops.

  2. I hate to weigh in on this now religious debate, as I think being a human being entitles you to your own choices in life, and we are really lucky to live in a country where we can. However, that being said... To not witness history being made, to not witness something that will be talked about for generations is incredibly stupid. The team needs your support, no matter who you are and what you practice.

Oh, and I'm just going to drop this here. :)

  3. We are probably never going to move due to funds at the club, but lets say theoretically the club has appointed you to buy land and develop a stadium, where would you buy land? How would you design your stadium? And why?

This thread is entirely for fun, and out of interest I can't wait to read your replies. As for me, I'm going to spend a little time thinking about it before replying to this thread. :D

  4. Could we do with another striker? Torbjorn Adgestein (hope I spelt that right) mentioned in a press release that he is unsure about extending his contract that ran out over the weekend, as he wants regular first team action. I'm not sure he proved himself, yet did we give him a chance to? If he doesn't resign, doesn't that leave us with just one pure bred striker? Perhaps we have some talent coming through the youth team to replace Billy if he be sold or has an injury?

  5. I've decided to not mention the 'E' word (Europe) this season after thinking it was almost a cert at the 'split' last season! It just set me up for a massive deflated fall as the wheels came off in the post-split games!

It's maybe too early yet despite us having a fantastic season and being beautifully placed in all three competitions.

But it's feasible we could have our best ever season and not qualify for Europe! I'm happy to progress domestically and if Europe materialises as a result, then that's a bonus!

As much as I'd like to see Caley in a European tournament, I fear that we'd compromise too much fitness during our season. By the end of last season, I think the players had enough. I wouldn't like to see additional games on top of that, but I may be wrong and we may manage it fine. :)

  6. Ah well. At least the bulk of the first team squad are signed up until at least the end of next season. Gives us breathing space to find someone to do the scouting.

You are pretty much right. Won't the new manager have a preferred scouting system? Perhaps even a scout that they would like to implement?

  7. Has the legends that made the best fans webside in the world ever considered making a app for iPad/iPhone?

I think it would be a great idea

There is a mobile website available already, it serves it's purpose well. However, I know there are some apps for IPB for mobile already.

  8. Luton's loss is our gain...........................Welcome Brilliant Brill  :clapoverhead:

    Welcome home Deano.

VERY ENCOURAGING FOR THE OTHER PLAYERS ALSO.

I would say so. We humans are like dominoes, we follow trends, habits. So when two key players sign a contract extension, the rest will say ''what are they seeing that I'm not'' and may consider extending their contracts also. :)

  9. seen a few and the uncomplicated answer is that its a result of the high traffic ... posts seem to get submitted to the Db twice (or more) when the system is under heavy load ... sometimes it can also be the result of a poster clicking twice when the page doesnt refresh immediately but thats a rarer occurence.

easiest option is for posters to delete the double post (where permissions allow) or for mods to do it where seen.

What version of IBP are you running? I know there were issues with past versions, my old gaming forum had this problem with 3.1->3.3. There was a fix for a few issues, possibly even this one. But you may be right.

  10. This will surely send a good message to the dressing room. I'm also sure that our players are more interested in playing in Europe and a semi final, than playing for hibs. Hopefully this is true and we keep our players come this transfer window.

  11. Its easy to feel bitter by whats gone on over the last few days but I think we should give credit where its due. We always knew Butcher would be taken away from us. Indeed many on here linked him to every vacancy that arose over the last couple of years. He has, however, left a legacy. He has shown that, even with small budgets, a team of our status can reach the dizzy hieghts of Scottish Football. We can all believe that anythings possible. We fear no team. We know we can beat any team. We know we can achieve all we want to achieve. The secret now is to continue to achieve. Butcher gave ICT the team. Butcher gave the fans the belief. Lets all get together and show the world that ICT can continue to be a force without Butcher.

*Applauds* #Alex2013 The job is yours.

  12. Im at the point now where I almost dont want him back

He never left. If I were a manager, I would at least go to other clubs and hear what they have to offer, even if they were arch rivals. And the least that would happen is, I know more about that rival club than anyone else in the league.

  13.

@ICTFC have agreed a 2-year deal with Dean Brill - although that could now be thrown into doubt if Terry Butcher goes to @HibernianFCClub

Good news if true and I dont see why it would be thrown in doubt. Any deal will be between Brill and ICT and I would imagine between ICT and Luton as they still have him contracted to end of season.

Indeed, the general feel around here is that everyone seems to think that the players only stay for the manager. What happened to club pride? To playing at a highly achieving club? Terry Butcher has done very well, and has brought a lot to the club, but in the end of the day, all deals are made between ICT and what ever club the deal is being made with at the time. Not between two managers.
