Is this the to do with the battery storage thing or is this a different money spinner because I'm confused, especially as it's gone quiet ever since this article a few weeks ago 🤔?

No, this is a different scheme. The North Car Park will be used for a Park and Ride for construction staff when work starts on the Red John facility.

Its referred to in the “Scot Gardiner” thread as starting in 2026.

On reading that they have secured funding for the drainage but there is a lot more to do.  The whole plan sound great but they will still require a lot more money and there are very little public funds.

Which I assume is where the statement in the Battery Park Planning Application comes in, as referred to in HighlandExile’s post above.

Was the park and ride concept not one which specifically related to the construction of the Red John Hydro scheme?  The idea being that the significant construction workforce would get bused to the site from the stadium.  The club would therefore get a steady revenue for the parking of workers cars and, possibly, various construction related equipment.

That’s correct. I’m not sure what the timescale is for work starting on the Red John scheme.

Bought a ticket for this with some optimism with the new signings, thinking we'd good rid of some dead wood and has beens in the transfer window. Can only see us getting pumped now.

Hibs are on a bad run and got thumped 3-0 at home by St Mirren today. They’ve 2 points out of 18 in the league and scraped past Forfar 1-0 on the last round.

We need to approach it positively and believing we can win it. We’ve caused bigger cup upsets and it will do confidence a power of good if we can get a positive result.

  5. That was a tough watch, as has been the case so often.

I thought we started poorly but then largely dominated the first half but couldn’t score. We were too tippy tappy yet again in the final third when shots were on.

We came out strongly in the second half but conceded against the run of play and never looked like getting back in it after then.

We could look at some poor refereeing decisions or play acting and time wasting by Queens Park but, in truth, we were just not capable of getting anything today.

Our home form and results are shocking and it’s needs sorted very quickly.

  6. Big game tomorrow. With Arbroath idle, a win puts us 7 ahead of Queens Park and 8 ahead of Arbroath, although both will have a game in hand.

If we win, we will overtake Ayr and / or Dunfermline if they fail to win.

Goodness knows how we will line up, but Samuel and Mckay both need to start up front.

Ferguson has really shaken the squad up and has not been afraid to make big decisions (eg Welsh and Carson). Hopefully the newbies are better than those who have gone and we start to put a strong run together.

I’m looking forward to the game, but just hope the wind drops and doesn’t make the game a lottery.

    Harper possibly away also.

That will leave us with no obvious fit left back / left wing back unless one of the recent additions can play there. Longstaff played there in the cup game but it didn’t seem his natural position.

  8. Noted this weekend were Tobi Sho-Silva for Maidenhead, George Oakley for Morton, Nathan Austin for East Fife and Ali Sutherland for Brora.

Elsewhere Sean Welsh was sent off for Queens Park, Ross Tokely was sent off for Nairn, and Andrew Shinnie missed his second penalty in two weeks for Livingston.

Thanks for adding.... What a pass that was for Samuel's first goal...not sure who played it but clearly someone with a sweet left foot!

Great victory and second what Lizi said about the difference in atmosphere between home and away games.

Nathan Shaw made the pass for the first goal.
