  1. I have sat near a guy who sounds just like this one on a few occassions and all he did for the whole 90 mins, even when we were playing well and goals up, was hurl downright abuse at our players. Assuming this is the same person then he is not offering an opinion. He is being a big mouthed prat and the sort of person who shouldn't be allowed into any stadium.

I go to games to support my team, to enjoy myself and to revel in the atmosphere. I dont go to listen to blatant abuse of our players. I can critisise a move or a miss or whatever but I would never hurl personal insult. Thats no way to boost anyones confidence.

  2. RiG, your last statement there is the sort of thing that gets some people all hett up and results in them dishing out abuse. Some people dont see a whole sentence, they just see certain words and twist them to suit.

I think, if you read Blackies interview properly, you will find that at no time did he say he wanted away from ICT. He claims he new nothing about DU's offer and would have liked to listen to what they had to say. He didn't say he wanted to join them. He says he doesn't expect to see out his contract. Thats because he believes a larger Premiership or Championship team will pay for him to join them in the future. Personally I admire his confidence in his ability to atract such.

And, for the record, David Proctor did not leave ICT. He was sold

  3. He's 34 and according to Rangers website was wanted at Dundee my Alex Rae. Stuart was actually a very good keeper until he got injured and I'm not too sure that he has actually got over that so maybe he wants to move into coaching. If he can help Broonie and Michael and teach our youngsters then he's welcome in my opinion. I dont honestly think we'll see him play again.

  4. This game is about teamwork, not individuals. If the team is having a bad time then the individual isn't going to change that. The problem seems to me to be tactics, sticking to the game plan, and the crowd slating the team instead of getting behind them.

I wasn't there so I cant comment on this game but, reading all the different posts and differing views about performance, I wonder was there more than one game being watched or are some peoples expectations way beyond what we can ever achieve with our level of support and meagre resources.

  5. I think its time we all accepted that 3500 is our loyal following for games against the like of DU, Dunfermline etc. We fill the stadium for big games but when you take out the 2500 in the south stand and the 500 or so dotted around the main stand + the 500 or so who will only ever go to the big games then 3500 - 4000 is the home support for this club. Its a shame but unless we can all go and persuade others to come watch them thats where we'll always be.

Its just a pity that the support we do have can't seem to get it together and make noise, the way they do when travelling.

  6. One of the problems is that, although our defence is strong at stopping an attack, there is no confidence it taking the ball forward under control. Dods, for one, tends to panic under pressure and the ball either ends in the stand or somewhere in the clouds. We need a couple of defenders who can hold up the ball and control the attack.

  7. quote from father Ted

I.C.T. are going to be a laughing stock shortly. They should rename us Geriatrics United

Advert should read - Footballers wanted, no ball skills required, oh sorry, must be able to lump it up the park and must be over thirty. Zimmers will be provided.

Get a grip Charlie, you need to be a bit more forward thinking.

What a load of codswallop. We have a squad of 24 players and four of them are over 30. Gollie, Barry, Roy McB and Garry McS. Those four bring needed experience and stability so are a necessary part of the team.

  8. Finished 0-0. One point and leapfrog Falkirk. By all acounts we should have had it wrapped up in the first half but, once again, the scoring voodoo has struck. According to radio we had quite a few open chances but didn't take them.

  9. My team to confuse Brew:

                                          Brown

                                Dods Munro McCaffery

                        Tokely                          Hastings

                                  Wilson Hart Black

                                      Dargo Bayne

Subs Fraser Morgan Duncan McBain McAllister Sutherland Rankin
