  1. The majority from last year will sign. They played for a virtually bankrupt club with a 5-point penalty in Division One, so I'm sure many will be delighted with a healthy Championship club.
  2. I've had this feeling for some time that the play off will be a Highland derby.
  3. Why in Earth no substitutes? Wotherspoon's race was run a long time ago. Fresh legs in Sole or Longstaff when Stenny started to dominate (which was just a series of scrambles in the box) would have made the difference.
  4. Probably more something to do with playing a side sitting in the top half of the division above us, having spent many years there and not having just been very nearly liquidated. ICT were never favourites to win the cup! We should get promotion with our squad, but will then be favourites for the drop next season. But let's see if we can get promotion first before being critical of being runners up in a cup where most first division clubs, including St Johnstone and Patrick Thistle, dropped out!
  5. I thought Mckay led the line well last night. Bavidge was completely missing in action and Alonge's race had run well before the end. I would have been far happier getting Allen on for Alonge, and going three across, shaking up the middle with some energy. I think it was there that we lost the game. If we go up and Stenny don't, then getting Kai in would be welcomed.
  6. Overly pessimistic. Give the guy a chance. It's the first game of the season, yet the death penalty is being prepared. My Christmas will be ruined if all the pipes burst at the end of December. I'm not going to be concentrating on that, even though it could happen.
  7. You must be a hoot at parties.
  8. To be honest, it looked more like a rusty side with new players getting to know each other. The biggest miss is Gilmour tidying up in defensive midfield. But that'll improve I'm sure.

I wonder what Alonge would be like up front?

I always felt David would have been a first class defensive midfielder, rather than the right-mid, right-back, central defender he was.
  11. I'd rather toss a caber
  12. Through choice though. The fans at his club are disappointed he didn't sign a contract but they were wishing him all the best.

Well done getting Ross Savage and Ross Chalmers. Just need some support for Billy. Do you think Ross McCormack would be interested?
  14. We needed a result after Greece and we got one. A terrible result, but a result nevertheless. There's a window of opportunity but early doors, I think we can see the light at the end of the carrot. After all, if you don't believe you can win, there's no point getting out of bed at the end of the day.
