Bye Bye Hamilton. Hamilton play their last SPL game for at least one season after confirming their status in midweek.  They almost managed to reel in St Mirren but it was too little too late for the Accies when they ran out of games and defeat to St Johnstone in midweek, coupled with St Mirren beating Aberdeen meant relegation for Billy Reid and his Academicals. Inverness will not be too sad about the demise of the Accies as they tended to make life difficult for us and to be honest,

Hibs looking to end abysmal Highland form. Last home game of the season sees capital opposition in the shape of Hibernian on Wednesday night 19:45 KO. Colin Calderwood's side have not had the best of times up North, failing to win at Inverness in any SPL games.  Six defeats and two draws are the statistics in favour of Inverness at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.  Hibs only success away from home against Inverness came at our surrogate home of Pittodrie, a 2-1 win for the Edinburgh s

Inverness keen to finish with a flourish  After the euphoria of midweek, the mundane challenge of playing St Mirren could be less attractive for some, but Inverness will need to show the same pulsating performance if they want to gain revenge for the Christmas week defeat at the hands of the Buddies. It's easy to raise the game when the big boys come calling, but it's equally important to maintain that level of performance if you want to stay ahead of the pack, and that is what Butch

Inverness back into the top-six for Wednesday.   A tea time kick off on Wednesday 4th May was the date deemed most suitable to hold this clash held over from the pre-split games, weather permitting of course.  Celtic have been the unfortunate victims of two late call offs in the Highland Capital this season alone.  This league encounter was originally planned for April 2nd with a noon kick off, but heavy overnight rain, coupled wi

Inverness looking to keep Dons in check. Terry Butcher's lads will be doing their utmost to ensure Aberdeen remain below them in the SPL this season.  The Dons have been on a mini revival since Craig Brown took over and he has eased them just out of harms way in the  relegation battle. Inverness sprinted ahead of Aberdeen in the first half of the season but the long cold winter months slowed the process down and Aberdeen have closed the gap somewhat although they remain nine points

Bank Holiday night out for the Caley Jags Inverness return to the scene of the crime this Easter Monday to face St Johnstone.  It was the Saint's that ended Inverness' proud undefeated away record just after New Year with a late Collin Samuel goal ending the year long statistic.  Some revenge six weeks later saw Inverness triumph 2-0 in the Highlands. No pressure on either club coming into this one as both sides are safe with Hamilton Accies looking likely to be plying their trade in

Capital Visitors to Highlands The top-six fairy tail has endeth, but the games keep coming and Hearts will be looking to consolidate third place in the SPL with the hosts looking to finish with a flourish after running out of steam in the winter months. The best of the rest is Butcher's aim now that Motherwell secured the points to keep them ahead of Inverness in the race for that last top-six spot.  Motherwell held their nerve as Inverness blew hot and cold in that last couple of mo
