Inverness end season on a high. Simon Mensing's penalty miss summed up Hamilton's season as Inverness ended theirs with four wins on the trot thanks to goals from Richie Foran and Adam Rooney. Mensing had earlier equalised at the start of the second half but squandered the penalty opportunity by lashing the ball off the bar as Tuffey escaped with only a yellow for the foul on Dougie Imrie. Poignant scenes at the end for ICT fans as part of the fixtures and fittings Grant Munro and

Nick Ross finally gets off the mark, and how. Richie Foran had given Inverness a first half lead with a powerful header, although there was some debate as to whether Adam Rooney had the last touch. It was a low key first half which explained why Hibs were languishing in the lower quarter of the league.  They had plenty of possession but did little with it. In the second period, Inverness began to take control and Nick Ross making his 50th appearance for the club scored a superb se

The Adam Rooney cameo show downs sorry Saints. He was only on the park for a few minutes when he hit the first of his hat-tricks, Lionel Messi eat yer heart out.  What a display from Rooney.  Woodwork hat-tricks that is. His first attempt was an audacious overhead kick that smacked the bar, absolutely brilliant attempt when he whipped the ball off the defenders head whilst facing Jonny Tuffey. His next two woody's were impeccable, apart from entering the net.  His fourth bash almo

Inverness throw a huge spanner in the SPL works. An exhilarating game of football ended in fairy tale circumstances for one Grant Munro. The sponsors man of the match would not have meant as much as the goal he hammered past Fraser Forster to put Inverness 2-1 ahead.  His love of this club is not in question and it was a fitting reward for Grant to be on the winning side in one of his final games for the Caley Jags. Celtic started with more urgency as their cause would dictate, bu

Aberdeen win at our expense. A Peter Pawlett goal 15 minutes from time settled this end of season affair in Aberdeen's favour.  This ensured the sides finish the season with two wins apiece.  This was youngster Pawlett's first goal for the Don's and it was enough to see off a lethargic Inverness.  Russell Duncan was on the bench and the diminutive Macdonald replaced the suspended Foran, who was missed for his energy and ball retention skills.  Aberdeen had the better of the early

Saints draw a blank once more as Jaggies cruise home. Inverness saw off a determined challenge from goal shy St Johnstone to eventually cruise to a comfortable 3-0 victory. Saints spurned great opportunities in the first half and Inverness profited from their deficiencies to steal a march on the Perth outfit.  A fabulous header from the much maligned Chris Innes opened a gap that Saints were unable to close in the second half.  Aaron Doran curled a delicious second from eighteen yards

No Broken Hearts. Inverness matched top flight Hearts in this entertaining encounter but had to settle for a share of the points as the Edinburgh side came from behind to level the game in the second half. Aaron Doran started the scoring with a beautifully guided volley in the sixth minute and the game developed into an evenly balanced contest with both sides spurning opportunities to score again.  Inverness shaded the first half but Hearts showed why they are in contention for Europea
