Whilst there was talk of Zander and Rory maybe getting into the Scotland U20 squad .... it may have gone un-noticed to some that Richard Hastings was recalled to the Canadian National Team a few months ago - and is now in the squad for the Gold Cup.

He has played both matches so far (full 90 mins in each) as Canada beat out Costa Rica 2-1 but went down to Guadeloupe by the same scoreline

Fair play to Richard .... He basically got called up for the squad when no-one expected it and when fans were a little more than scornful of his worth .... a bit like when he returned to ICT !!!

He played every game in a position he isnt used to and by the end of Canada's involvement in the tournament had those same fan singing his praises .... again, like his return to ICT

As many know, I have not always been his biggest fan, or even a fan at all, but this past 12 months he has performed very well for both his club and his country so well done to him.
