Families to Get a Kick out of Saturday’s Game

      Teaser Paragraph:

ICT Press ReleaseCaley Thistle aim to inject family fun in to the matchday experience for Saturday's Clydesdale Bank SPL clash with Heart of Midlothian.

Some 250 Dalneigh Primary School pupils have won free tickets in a competition to attend the game while the Supporters Trust will be opening the Family SportsBar at 10.30 am to run children's activities, including an appearance by Bubbles the Clown.

Several first team players will visit the Family SportsBar to sign autographs and have their photographs taken with fans. The First Division Trophy, won so splendidly by Caley Jags last May, will also be on show for people to be pictured with. So bringing the camera along is a must!

During the interval of the Hearts match there will be a special game between Caley Thistle's under-11s team and their Thurso Youth Club equivalents.

Kenny Cameron, the club's Operations Director, said: "We've arranged these special attractions as part of the SPL's first 'family weekend' at all fixtures.

"The initiative has been developed by the SPL in conjunction with the clubs as part of an effort to attract more families to matches. We fully support this aim as it ties in neatly with our own objectives. The recent launch of the Family SportsBar at all home games helps towards that goal.

"We'll be delighted to see the Dalneigh boys and girls on Saturday and we hope to offer free tickets to as many local primaries as we can this season. After all, these are the supporters of the future."

The club is also offering family hospitality packages for season ticket holders and nonseason ticket holders alike and details can be obtained from the commercial department.
