  1. So - would Mr Sutherland care to return to his statements to the media regarding the Trust and the fans - in the light of the club changing their tact and taking a route which was the one advocated by the fans who he criticised.

I would also wish Mr Sutherland to confirm whether he was speaking on his own behalf or on behalf of the club in making an apparent undignified personal attack on the representative of the Trust for simply attempting, in conjunction with the other elected and appointed office bearers of the Trust, to seek the views of the supporters. This surely is what the Trust is there to do?

If he was speaking on behalf of the club, perhaps the board would like to advise why a person appearing neither to be a Director, Empoyee or Agent of the club was speaking on their behalf? A shareholder major or other surely has no such entitlement to speak for or on behalf of the club.

I would however wish these questions and many others to be held off until the summer when hopefully we may have managed to drag ourselves out of the mess that we have been forced into by the apparent lack of action by the Board.

  2. I'd imagine the administrators would be duty bound (where possible) to honour the PCA, although as it wouldn't be in their favour to increase costs and Blacks favour to be going to a club where they might not be able to afford to honour the terms of his contract then it's more than likely it could (and would) be quashed by mutual agreement.

If Hearts were to enter administration, the Administrators are duty bound only to protect the rights of the Creditors (i.e. maximise the return) and they would be able to effectively tear up the PCA with limited repercussions.

  3. Whilst I have no problem with the subject, is now really the right time to be talking about this and suggesting yet more protests.

Perhaps some people are more interested in fostering grievance rather than getting behind the team? :rotflmao:

The time for this conversation is in three months time irrespective of whether we stay up or not!

  4. The evidence appears to point to the fact that they do.

It has been clear since late Nov/early Dec that his tenure has come as far as it can. Here we are mid January looking in an even worse position than we were then.

They seem to be the only ones who do not see the writing on the wall and are happy for us to be relegated.

  5. We shouldn't sell Imrie

he works probably the hardest out of anyone in our whole team

    hes a terrier!

Unfortunately in too many games he runs around with no real end product. We need to add some quality to the effort.

He still has a tendancy not to track his man back as well.

  6. I had been thinking that Falkirk were facing budget cuts (which would be why Hughes was implying he'd taken Falkirk as far as he can). Didn't expect them to take on another (presumably) quite hefty wage.

It was mentioned on BBC Radio Scotland on Saturday that Falkirk are believed to be in significant financial problems. No real details were given in relation to the level of debt or otherwise.

  7. 9 Nationalities representing ICT in a single game and not an Englishman in sight :rotflmao:

One question though....are we losing our "identity"?

We've always taken pride in the fact that we've had a team of predominantly Scottish Players and have probably fielded more "all Scottish" line-ups in the past 15 years than anyone else (supposition, I have no facts to back it up and willing to be corrected).

Does the influx of foreign players bother anyone from that point of view, or is it a case of whoever can do the job to take us forward?

Personally, so long as the backbone of the club remains Scottish and we don't go down the road of ignoring more local talent for imported players as a matter of course, I'm not overly concerned. I want the best for the team, and if we have to look further afield for that from time to time, then fine.

I suppose the odd thing is that we have had more home grown players come through over the past 12 months than at any other time in the clubs history (e.g. Wood, Vigurs, Duff) coinciding with an influx of foreign players.

I would suggest that this shows that it is incredibly hard to transfer in Scottish players from other clubs due to various reasons (one of which is geography). I know from personal experience that it is easier to convince people from outwith Scotland to move up here (including people from south of the border).

  8. he has been hot and cold most of the season, dont see him being good enough for killie.hes had arguments with brewster before so thats the likely scenario, would hate to lose another mid

I would be quite happy to lose a player that only performs once every five games and never at home. After looking a good prospect he has disappointed this season apart from a couple of games. Not consistent enough by far (even before we went on this bad run).

  9. Shouldn't the seller be responsible for the damage in this case? You didn't receive the goods as sold, so you should be entitled to send them back.

There are a number of pieces of legislation including the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations which provide recourse in these circumstances. Unfortunately if the deal was concluded by auction then much of the legislation does not apply.

Given the value of the damage it is unlikely to be worthwhile persuing unless Ebay's own terms and conditions provide a direct means of compensation or restitution

  10. Why do people think Esson would be the better keeper. In the two seasons he had at Shrewsbury he played 6 times.

I think I am right in saying that he was injured for most, or at least a significant part, of his time there

  11. We were extremely charitable in extending his contract a few months ago when most other clubs would have shown him the door then.

Were we paying his wages during the long term injury or was this done under an insurance policy?

  12. Anyone at the game yesterday could see it was not the young players who were the problem.Where we were let down was with some of our more experienced players. Ross could not possibly have played a worse game for the club , If Procter is fit he must start next saturday. Roy was totally ineffective in the middle and how many more times is Michael going to get caught in no mans land .

I have to say that I agree with Roby with some of our experienced players letting the side down more than the younger lads.

In relation to the team selected by Brewster - After the Falkirk game it was always going to be difficult to make changes from the starting 11.

For the next game I am sure that Grant will be back and perhaps Imrie/Barrowman. The critisism of Wood is uncalled for and he again showed at times that he has a lot of promise if lacking in experience of playing at the SPL level (no surprise).

Tokely has to be dropped. It is becoming a common theme and whilst I do not agree with the comments that he is at best Div 2 (or whatever lower division anyone seems to pick) he is going through a real loss of form which I think is precipitated by his belief that he is far better than he actually is (when we first came up he worked harder and more importantly concentrated harder - almost nobody got the better of him whereas now everyone just about seems to). This is being commented to me by some fans of other teams in the division so it is clearly becoming noticeable and even Arbroath concentrated their attacks against him (and got a lot of success).

I would be happy moving McGuire into the RB role (where he played numerous times for the Dons) if Proctor is still struggling and going for a central pair of Duff and Munro.

  13. I agree with many of the previous comments regarding last night's game.

Black was generally the playmaker and Vigurs and Barry played very well. Wood did well as did Duff (who ended up looking like a young version of Terry Butcher with blooded bandaged head).

I thought Tokely was again suspect (as did all the Arbroath fans I was sitting with) and Zadi is just far too inconsistent.

Barrowman did everything other than ask to be sent off. What was that about?

  14. "During the period covered by the accounts, ?285,000 of new shares was issued thus reducing the effect of the loss."

Does that mean the loss would have been ?717,000 without the share issue or is it ?432,000 less the ?285,000??? Hard to believe I have an O Grade in Accounts!!

    The net loss is ?147k.

The share income does not impact on the operating profit and loss account.

  15. Tokely wasn't that bad at all. His final ball in was poor but defensively I thought he was solid enough. I thought O'Brien was going to ravage him throughout the 90 but he was so effectively cancelled out that he was replaced by a skunk.

Defensively he was far from solid!!!

  16. I thought Rossco was alright. Good forward runs, bit slow getting back however.

I appreciate that views on performance are subjective but I find it hard to believe that you thought Rossco was alright.

He appears to have slipped back into the complacent performances which he has given over the past two years. He really does seem to think that he is better than he actually is and is not working hard enough to get in the right positions when the opposition have the ball (and I am not referring to when he charges forward).

In a game where there were probably three or four 'bad' offenders it may be a bit unfair to single Rossco out, however it is becoming increasingly obvious that he is not performing to the standards he set during the first two years in the SPL.

I find it hard to be overly critical of Barrowman who was given extremely poor service for most of the game. I also thought Duff was very good and is unluckly that his error was punished (unlike the constant errors and misplaced passes from certain players which were not punished).

As a final note, I take it that last weeks cross for Bannerman to score was our first and last decent cross of the season. Rossco, Hastings and Imrie in particular were guilty of poor quality time and time again. This was a feature of last season and we don't appear to be improving on it.
