  1. Although the anti-merger mob were all Caley as far as i know.

Yeah, it was a Caley Fan who waged a year long legal battle to court to stop the transfer of Thistle's Assets   :029:

No Tree it was a Jaggie who took the court action to freeze the Jags assets and eventually lost!

Really. Do they have sarcasm down your way  :017:

  2. he' s a big name in Romania, but typical ICT they havent exploited that market in any way in terms of TV rights etc etc.

Never mind the Romanian Market. ICT have not even exploited the Inverness market.

Go into the Town (sorry I mean City) Centre and you can see old firm merchandise in shops everywhere, but nothing for ICT.

Even the pathetic amount of stock which Debenhams used to stock appears to have fallen by the wayside. We obviously don't need to maximise our merchanidising side of things to provide more money to allow Brewtser to sign better players!

  3. Do some people get up in the morning and ask what can we moan about now?  :029:

I suspect that Jud is only dealing with the announcements due to nobody else being willing to. He doesn't exactly have to look for work to do on a match day!

The fault lays with the club for not getting a proper PA in place

  4. Interestingly, I understand that after the deal to purchase Tulloch CEL the largest shareholder in ROK (which as earlier stated included share transfer as well as equity), albeit very much a minority holding, became...... David Sutherland

    Who took over who  :024:

Not a critisism I should add

  5. To be fair there wasn't really  bad run under CC. We lost 3 games at start of season because he was forced to adapt to an alien system to accomodate a player he probably didn't want. Niculae's wage meant there wasn't money to provide the badly needed replacement for Dods. Of course a lot of people were blinkered by the super signing and couldn't see what was really going on.

CC stated in early 2007 that he was going to give Caff a chance to make the position his own. The short sightness of this cannot be blamed on the signing of Niculae.

  6. I heard today that he has said something along the lines of after being sacked by Aberdeen being sacked by Buckie means nothing

I thought being sacked by anyone is an embarassment  :024: :sillywave:

  7. i don't just buy my own season ticket but a fair few others in the hope of encouraging kids to go to games.

depending on the prices for next year i may considering dropping one or two...

Dropping kids is not allowed  :010:

  8. Anything less than ten points from these remaining fixtures will be a disappointment.

Depends on what the fixtures are used for.

I would agree you you if the 'best' available team is played in each fixture, however perhaps there is an opportunity to give some of the young fringe players the opportunity to be tested at SPL level. If this was to be the case then the results would not be the key factor.

I suspect that the ?80k on offer for each position in the league may prevent too much experimenting however.

  9. Who are all these players that CC apparently had bust ups with?

CC felt that there were a number of players who were not supportive and were undermining him behind his back.

I know that this was brought up at a number of team meetings. Interestingly enough some of the players thought that CC did not receive the same level of support from Parkie in these situations as Robo did.

In spite of what some people would like us to believe, there has been some dressing room issues which stretch before Niculae was ever on the scene (although his presence has not improved the situation). Some of the players who have been implicated in this have been moved on (or are moving on).

  10. Angus the stag, was originally made for Ross County - for obvious reasons -, but County were not happy with the standard of the outfit, and returned it to the supplier.  The supplier in turn managed to flog it to Caley.

ICT then nurtured him and turned him into a star - Just like all the other misfits which we have taken from Dingwall over the past years  :crazy07:

  11. 2- He can sign as an "amature" (sp?) & claim expenses - there are ways round it.

It costs nothing for the club to have a look & helps raise Juanjo's profile back in Scotland even if he fails to get a deal until the end of the season. A win win for both parties.

I think that it may be too late to register even as an amateur. Still worth having a look in any event

  12. The whole issue a minority of players sniping in the background has been ongoing for a while and stretches beyond Brewster's reign. CC had some issues with this and felt that he was being undermined by a couple of players. Black seems to be falling into this category at the moment.

I suppose my reading of the situation is that we do not appear to know exactly what was said. If all that was said my Blackie is as quoted he does not want to play for Brewster then this does not explain why he has to make an apology to the team and not just the Manager.

This battle appears to be of the player's making and, irrespective of views on Brewster's current performance and ability to turn things around, now that he has effectively thrown down a challenge to Brewster's authority (players cannot be allowed to pick and choose when they wish to play) then there can only be one winner whilst we have Brewster in charge.

It is interesting that the team's best performance in weeks came on the back of this situation (I may be reading too much into this??)

  13. Donld Park was the glue that held this club togethor.

That's certainly what we're all suppose to believe  :023:

    Do tell.

If I had solid proof to back up what I know then I would say more.

For now you'll just have to treat it as another one of those "people who think they are in the know" type comments.

Without knowing to what you refer it is difficult to say how accurate your understanding of the situation is. However from what I know your general sentiment is not too far away from the truth.

  14. I would agree that Vigurs is worth a game at some point. When I have seen him he has always impressed and seems to have a bit of added quality when in possession.

I still think that without Duncan we will be the poorer.

  15. You are entitled to your opinion Sir C, however Duncan has been one of our best players all season (only behind Cowie out of the midfielders).

Yesterday he was far better than Black, who for some reason seems to get plaudits for the mediocre performances he has given in most games this season (whilst at the same time bragging to anyone who can listen that he is going to win a 'big' move to Hibs). At least Russell does not take a hissy fit every time somethings happens which he does not like. He is entitled to seek the highest wage he can (like all employees), however I agree with the club holding to its wage structure.

He does no do a glamorous taks in the holding role, and I agree that his passing could be better sometimes, however we will be the poorer for him moving on in terms of our current players and we will need to replace him with someone who can read the game (in a defensive midfield sense) as well as he can.
