Is it that nice out there? I havent ventured out today...but thought it was feeling quite stuffy in here
  4. I think we should all agree to disagree on this. iT will just rumble on and on. Some of us want to cheer C*unty on in the final, some of us dont.
  5. Why did you want C*unty to win yesterday? Just curious. A number of reasons. One being it pisses me off all ove rthe highlands, you get so called supporters of one of the OF who have never been to a game (theres a lot of them here anyway) arguing about who is better, who will/won't win the league, and if Robbie Keane is indeed god. It annoys me, these same people will use the fact they have won x amount of league titles to advantage or the fact ICT are in a lower league when in a football related discussion which anyone could do had they chosen to be glory hunters. So in a way it's a big **** you to the glory hunters all over Scotland. Iain...do you honestly think County fans wont be rubbing their appearance in the final in OUR faces...let alone, god forbid, should they win it?
  6. I had credited you with a bit more intelligence Oz. How silly of me! Seems to me, your just another of the ones who like to stir it up! If you havent got the cerebal capacity to take on board whats been said...without viewing it as an attack, thats your look out! Smee, get of your high horse mate. My post was a bit of tongue in cheek humour. I had credited you with having a sense of humour. How silly of me. As for having the cerebral capacity you speak of, I at least, unlike your good self have the ability to spell the word. Well..being Dyslexic Oz....i excuse myself the odd spelling error! Personally....i think i do rather well considering! Aslo, might i suggest the use of smileys if comments are made tongue in cheek...otherwise it can be misconstrued!
  7. How am i contradicting mysef rig?

  9. You know what gets me...is those who are quick to judge my and others controlled rivalry with Ross county, yet they are totally oblivious to their own (apparently) deep seated intollerance to the "Old Firm" "Let he who casts the first stone"!!
  10. Well done Terrance and Maurice (and the team). Sometimes these awards can be a bit dubious, but i dont think there is any doubt it was richly deserved.
  11. I'd be interested in hearing how you define old school supporter. Start with not supporting you local rivals at a glamorous final!! Is it not possible to watch a match as a nuetral? Just to enjoy a good match? To enjoy the spectacle that is a cup final? Thats totally up to the individual. I watch many matches not involving my teams in the hope of an entertaining match. But i stop short of going along and cheering one of the teams on!!
  12. I seem to recall a number of ICT fans went and supported Gretna against Hearts a few seasons ago. Would they also be "non old school" ? Goegraphy was never my strong point...But i am pretty sure Gretna isnt and never has been a "local rival". I myself shall be cheering on WHOEVER plays C*unty in the final. Another part of being an old school fan! Im guessing unless you (meaning people in general) grew up in the 70s and 80s actually supporting a local team, you may well struggle with this concept.

  14. When does it stop being about football and being about something else? B) What does that even mean? I think he/she is questioning our integrity and morals, insinuating we could be on the cusp of becoming bigots! But it is they who are in danger of becoming so, with their intolerance of others rights to hold their own opinions!
  15. Well JB.....i have held such sport related rivalries for over 30 yrs now....it has never gone beyond a healthy dislike for the club. i have a number of pals who support RC (as well as many other teams)....who i could go and have a drink with...so i think if my rivarly was gonna manifest into something more ugly, it would have done so by now.
  16. Why does holding a healthy rivalry with a local team have to be compared to religious fuelled intolerance and bigotory? Its always extremes on this site!
  17. Birdy....I think we just have to accept that some of us have differnt ideas of what following a team involves mate! You and I and some others are clearly old school......others are more liberal in their attitudes!
  18. Thanx for that Kiltarlity. Al maybe give that a go....but I thave tried quite a few things suggested on websites, with no joy. am thinking wiping the hard drive and starting from fresh may be the way to go
  19. Ok...tried the downloading of Realtek sound drivers....NO CHANGE!!
  20. I have been trying all night to get sound on my wee boys PC, so he can hear his youtube clips he loves to watch. The Computer was in a mess.....missing updates etc, so i have been trying to get everything up to date tonight. So....now....i have found that there is "No Audio Device" being listed. Even the wee speaker icon beside clock is missing. As far as i know....it is on board sound, (as i had a peek inside, and no sign of a sound card) ....which DID work when my oldest had the computer...some months ago. Anyone have a clue? I even tried the Microsoft Fix It thing, with no joy!
  21. Me too!!
  22. Well.....a "fan" might be a bit of a stretch...considering i have never made any financial contribution to the club in any from. I have long openly admired their style of play tho. BUT....had it been even Rangers they played today...ad have wanted County to lose!
  23. Excellent result. Of the last half dozen fixtures a few weeks ago...this was the one i feared the most. Well done guys!
  24. Says they, preparing to go and support their other team at the scottish cup final! Oh....and where did i suggest i was a "god". I merely pointed out...that UNLIKE the overwhelming majority of ICT fans...i was supporting local football when many chose not to!
  25. Well...the drop in the ICT support from what we got in the SPL would seem to suggest we are not short of fairweather fans! Nor would the growing attendances we have had the more we have progressed through the leagues. I knew you would come out with the Kids argument....but you have to remember...for everyone thats born...one dies. So...it evens itself out. Fact is....where was these Inverness "football fans" back in the day when it was just Highland League on offer? To try and argue that the attendance increases have nothing to do with the level ICT are now playing at is rediculous! And they will further increase next season IF we find ourselves in the SPL!
