  1. :rotflmao: Johndo where's your troosers. Seriously let's work on it. I'll give you a shout when I get back from my little jolly to Augsburg.
  2. Well that's one thing you have in common then. :rotflmao: Caley100 you have a PM. What about fancy dress for the 12th. :015:
  3. If the drummers stay in the North Stand then there is no point in this exercise at all. The whole idea is for all the people who want to make a noise to be together. Bring all the drums, hooters etc and make plenty noise. Chief choirmaster IHE will be in attendance so we should be in for an entertaining day. Congratulations on a post that I understood. :015:
  4. 1. Section G would have had problem with the safety people as it is very close to the away support. The next section is mainly executive hospitality seating, so we thought that you would be isolated in G with little hope of encouraging people to join in. 2. Haven't heard yet if the club have any plans for special offers for this game, I'm sure we'll hear soon if they do. Remember when they offer discount you have some season ticket holders complaining. Can't please all of the people all of the time unfortunately. 3. Spilling into section B wouldn't be an option as this is mainly sold out to season ticket holders. I would love to have the problem with the area overflowing though, I'm sure we could sort something out in the North Stand, but if we get around 250 I'll personally be delighted if not slightly amazed. :015:
  5. :015: :015: :015: for this game only you can gain access with your season ticket for section E and move to section A to see if you want to be part of the noisy crew. :003:
  6. No RIG there are no season ticket holders in this area, which makes it ideal for the pilot. It may not necessarily be the permanent 'home' of the singing section, but it will give us the opportunity to gather the information on who is interested which we will take back to the club and they will then look in to how they take it forward, but it will depend on the support it receives. It's a very positive response from the club, so I really hope that this time it is well enough publicised and supported.
  7. Okay so section A it is then. I'm just back from a meeting with Mike Smith (Chief Exec) and he is very supportive of the proposals put forward by yourselves. With the help of the Supporter's Trust the singing section will be piloted at the Dunfermline game. No need to do anything special at this stage. You will be able to gain access to the ground with your season ticket or pay at the gate, and for this game only you will be 'free to roam' to section 'A', which is the uncovered section nearest to the North Stand. Supporter's Trust board members will be available on the day to co-ordinate this trial and to gather information from those supporters who are interested in this becoming a more permanent fixture within the club. As I have said already the club are very keen to have something in place for next season. It's now over to you. You asked for it, as a member of the Supporter's Trust board, I liased with the club on your behalf and now you have it. You have to support it. We will all end up with egg on our faces if IHE ends up there on his own. :015: :015: :015: Please PM me if you wish your contact details included in the list of interested parties if you cannot make the game. I have to say thank you to Mike for facilitating this meeting at short notice and for his positive response. He has also agreed to include this information in a press release prior to the game and hopefully it should appear on the official site before long too. :021: :021: :021: :music03: :party01: :panda02: :panda01: :music04: And for IHE :moon2: :moon2: :moon2: :015: :015: :015:
  8. I spoke to a very happy Buffy on a very noisy Pars bus earlier. :021: Well done indeed.
  9. Thank you all for your input. I'll get back to you when I have more information.
  10. Okay RIG, let's not be negative, we have tried this before and failed. This time I know that the club are very keen to do something. Got an e-mail back from the chief exec and I am meeting him tomorrow to discuss further. Please feel free to add any comments suggestions meantime. The current proposal is to trial the use of one of the uncovered sections for the Dunfermline game, which I actually think is quite a good idea. Grander ideas have been discussed, but this might be a good short term solution. We also have plenty of time to publicise this.
  11. As I have said already the chairman is very keen to take this forward. I have e-mailed the chief exec today to make him aware of this thread and gave a summary of the suggestions. I've cc'd the chairman into the e-mail for his information. I'll let you all know when I get a response, but I think a trial for the Dunfermline game is an excellent idea. The only thing I thought about later was that it might be better in the uncovered section between the main and north stands. Youth teams already have seats in this area and are keen to make a noise and it would encourage some support from both stands. Section G would be seen as better crack, but could be a bit volatile so close to the away end and with these banning orders being handed out willy nilly might be best to stay away. The other reason I thought was that section G (uncovered near 'away' stand) will be a bit isolated as the seats in sections E and F are where there are a lot of hospitality seats so not very likely they will join in.
  12. Great response so far, already more than last time. Numbers around the 50 mark which is fantastic and the club are also taking names for us now too. The more the merrier though.
  13. :003: As I've said somewhere else, Maimie and I had a word with him on Friday night, so he must have been paying attention. :015: :015: :004:

  15. Supporter's club is still running. I believe that the supporter's club members wish to keep the supporter's club running. The member's club, however voted to join the Trust and disband the old member's club. This was a very different scenario though as it was a closed shop and could no longer recruit new members. It is thanks to the members club that the Supporter's Trust now have a 12% voting right within the football club. So it is a personal choice whether to be a member of both or to choose 1 or the other.

Just cast my votes and it's interesting that there are 10 (yes only 10) votes and top marks have been spead between 8 players. I think that says a lot as to how well eveyone played on Saturday. Well done guys. :021:
  17. Singing at away games has never been a problem though. That's the point exactly, we need to create more of this atmosphere at home, but we can only do that if we sit the noisy people all together. :003:
  18. 2 other topics now on the go re the singing section, so let's get this one back on track. Well done Dargs :021: :021: We told him on Friday night he should just stay in Inverness, rather than suffer the ICT curse. Maimie also offered to initiate his fiancee into Invernessian ways, but he politely declined. :015: :015: :015: :015: Glad to see the Sunday papers saying he might just stay, he was obviously listening.
  19. Okay we kind of have 2 threads loosly related. Now Clacher you make a good point. The main stand (uncovered area) would be an ideal place for the 'singers' but would people be prepared to use it as it is uncovered. The covered area is cold and wet enough some days. This section is often sold at North/South stand prices. I know that the club are looking into this and the Chairman is very keen that something is put in place for the start of the season. IHE's suggestion of a trial for the Dunfermline is a good one as there are a few things planned for that day as a kind of end of the season celebration. At the last Trust forum the chairman mentioned a singing section and I informed him that it had been tried and failed in the past, but he didn't see that as any deterent. He seems to be to be a man that likes to stick to his word. The only way it won't work is if the fans don't buy into it. As for the family section, there are a few there now that will no longer qualify for this area and will have to move anyway. (this will naturally happen every year as families grow up and have to move to full price areas)
  20. Yes Congratulation on your first post, hope it's the first of many. It's painless really, the first one is the worst. :015: :015: You are on the list for the bowling, it's looking like being a busy night.
  21. Worth a shot I suppose. I know this is something very much in the club's plans for next season, but just waiting for a bit more information regarding the logistics before they make a formal announcement. I'll put forward this suggestion on your behalf, although I won't really have to as they will see this anyway. :004: The only problem I can forsee with this is people who already have season tickets in this 'designated' area and don't want to sing. But they might take the chance of trying out another area for this one game. Preferably they would just join in though.
  22. Really wish I could be threre. I'm in Germany next weekend, which will be fantastic, but I think Dingwall on Saturday is what the first division is all about. We wore ICT colours in the Gretna end at Hampden last year, so I wouldn't expect a problem. Go for it. :021: :021:

My guess would be to tie it in with the Social Club membership, or pay a small fee to become a member of the new club, but guests allowed on match days. Just a quick thought

Planning permission has been submitted for 2 pre-fabricated buidings to be built back to back with the North Stand. The chairman (Alan Savage in case you didn't know :003:) has sourced funding from outwith the club's normal budget to fund this. As has already been said one of them would house a state of the art gym for the players to train on site and the other a 'members' bar with wide screen tvs for pre and post match use. Sounds good to me. :021: :021: :021: :021: See today's Highland News for further information.
  25. Dods will play on Saturday, but he is only 1 yellow away from another suspension, but hopefully he'll last til Ross is back in the team. I hope Dargs plays as I couldn't stand 90 mins of Rory's huffing and puffing with no results. I think rory has to go out on loan for a while to regain his confidence and/or work on his fitness. I can remember when he first came on in a game and he really played well, so I don't know what has happened, but they better work it out fast if he is going to have a future at this level.
