    Boycot on Saturday

So if you weren't at the meeting I'm not sure you are fully informed. If you buy the shirts and eat the pies then you should be there behind the team on Saturday, whatever the circumstances.

Where has Warnock actually expressed an interest in living in Inverness, he mentioned family in Dunoon! Last I heard he was distancing himself from the position.

    Boycot on Saturday

What an excellent 1st post. :017: The board (not just the director of football) will appoint the candidate they think best for the job. Whoever that is, any true fan will get behind them and support the team, whatever their opinion. Everyone deserves a chance. A boycot won't make any difference other than you will miss the game.
  5. Someone asked tonight at the meeting if this thread had been brought to Charlies attention. Graeme Bennet confirmed that CC has read this thread and wished his thanks to be passed on to the fans who had contributed. :021: :021:

And what makes you think that would be a problem Johnboy?
  7. I have made the same point somewhere in the depths of all these posts today. I can't see our team responding to warnock's style of management

With the transfer window due to close very soon, I think the board have to move pretty quickly. We don't have the luxury of time in this case.

I don't expect that to be the case. If you read the other threads you will see that we seem to have a short list emerged from today's lengthy board meeting. I know that they are keen to make an appointment but it won't be that quickly.

No of course not, but if we got a win. :001:

I wouldn't hold that against him, he was working under difficult circumstances at Utd. I think he will be appointed and if he is we have to get right behind him and hope that he has learnt some lessons and gained some more experience from his time away. At the end of the day it's the results that matter and if he turns things around we'll all forget about the past and be delighted to see ICT climbing the table again. It would be poetic justice to have him back for Saturday. :001:

  16. Warnock is not coming to ICT
  17. Not as expensive as you might think. For the first time that I can remember a ?40,000+ Directors Emolument appeared on the accounts. I don't grudge anyone payment for services, but since day 1 we have been led to believe that the ICT Directors all worked for free and we should be grateful for their service. It would seem this is another change that has occurred at the club recently. Grasser costs ICT ?0. His salary is paid for by Cairngorm Windows who let him work, almost exclusively for ICT, as far as I understand it. Bear that in mind next time you need uPVC windows and doors, built in the HIghlands for the Highlands. To my mind the Nicolae deal is an excellent piece of work for all concerned, especially the players, and if they cant take it they should seek other employment, elsewhere. Once this machine clicks into place, and I have zero doubt it will, this will all be forgotten. That was always my thoughts Gordy, but there is aparently a payment in excess of ?40,000 recored in this year's club accounts for directors payments. I'm not a shareholder so I don't have access to the accounts, but as they say I am reliably informed that this is the case.

Story isn't wrong, just the timing that's a bit askew. Are you coming to the meeting tonight Johnboy?

Firstly I think that of the current shortlist he could well be the players choice. I know the players didn't like Malky's training methods, but whoever put the training in place certainly improved fitness levels. The players had to attend more gym sessions under Brewster and I don't think they were very keen at the time. I think we can all see that improved fitness is required and I believe that Brew would sort that. I hope that if he is appointed he would work with Parkie and then I think we would see a good balance. The players do have a lot of respect for Parkie. I think the different backgrounds of Brew and Parkie would work, not sure if that would be the plan though.

Okay Warnock would be a big name to bring to ICT and to be honest I think that's about all. I can't see our squad of players responding to his management style. He would almost certainly want to bring in his own backroom team which could add to the cost. I believe that he would use it only as a stepping stone as he needs to get back into football. Brewster is still involved in the Scottish game and has been on the playing side which has given him a lot of knowledge of the SPL teams. I think it's a bit strange that the fans are being asked their opinion, but no consultation with the players is planned. :017: I honestly believe that they would choose Brew (better the devil you know) over Warnock. I do think that this time Brew would be here for the long haul as he now know the grass isn't always greener. I don't think he would be too hard to deal with financially as he is keen to return. So if he wants the job and the players are happy with him, who are we to say we'd like the big name? 1 more point, I don't actually believe that Warnock is a serious contender.

  23. Okay Warnock would be a big name for us, but I suspect we would only be a stop gap for him. I know that Brewster would relish the chance to return and I don't think he would be so keen to jump ship again. I say give him a second chance. I hope you are all coming to the meeting tomorrow night to express your opinions
  24. After discussions with the clubs Director of football Graeme Bennet and the Supporter?s Trust chairman Les Kidger a meeting for Supporter?s Trust members and fans has been arranged tomorrow night Wednesday 22nd August at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium at 7.30pm This is to allow Supporter?s Trust members and fans the opportunity to express their constructive views on the prospective appointment of the new manager of ICT to the director of football. It is hoped as many members and fans can attend to make suggestions and ask questions.
