He had bought a property in Inverness not long before he left. He decided to keep it along with a few others he has scattered around the country. So I suppose he can be wherever he wants to be.

Just shows you how the media grapevine works though. I'm sure Scotty or CaleyD could speak to the programme editor for permission to pulish these some time after the game. I don't think it would stop people buying programmes at the game, but it would be a good service particularly for the fans who are not local.

Also possible Manager/Captain pages too.????

It's amazing how things can grow arms and legs. We did have the supporters trust AGM a couple of weeks ago and our chairman did make an off the cuff comment regarding Man U players. Unfortunately one of a small group of us decided to leak this to the press (P & J carried the story as an exclusive on the Saturday). Obviously the nationals pick up stories from papers such as these and the chairman became inundated with calls from journalists nationwide. It is really unfortunate that one individual may have jeopardised the future of what has always been a frank and open event following the trust meetings. If you have a programme from Saturday's game, have a read of the chairman's comments and you will see how he feels. He has even had to write to Man U to apologise for the story being leaked. So to the person who felt that they had an exclusive for the press, thank you for embarrassing the club and possibly spoiling what might have been an amicable relationship with Man U. I have spoken to the chairman about this and although he is disappointed that it happened he still feels that the forum is a worthwhile event and he has said he would do it again if asked, but clearly he will be a little less free with the answers he can give.

I have to defend the club a bit here. Most reserve games are played in the afternoons. This was raised by ICT before and they started to have them played in Inverness with a 7pm kick off where possible. On these occasions I suspect that the visiting clubs didn't want to play in the evenings during the winter. I don't know that for sure, but I do know that ICT play reserve games at night where possible.

Well the players turned out last night and you never. Your loss Johnboy. Dargo, Doddsy and Alan Morgan all played with all the teams on a rotational basis. The kids loved running round after them getting autographs and photos taken. Great night, good turnout and also supported by the club who supplied the prizes. 1st prize went to a young lad who will be picking the man of the match today. Thank you to the club for that and the rest of the bowlers got a free ticket for today's game.

I think Sheila MacKay has already asked him to put something on paper, but he has never got around to it. Unfortunately his wife is not keeping well and is in a home. Although this is very sad it does leave him with quite a bit of time on his own which might be an opportunity to colate some of this stuff. I asked him to write a few of his memories down. He's a lovely man with some great stories, especially of the 'turns' from the Empire.
