  1. Has anyone seen anything remotely impressive the guy has done in his short time here? How does he keep getting a game every week?

I used to think Darren Thomson was the worst player I've ever seen in an ICT shirt. With a few more games under his belt I reckon young Robert might just nick that title from him.

  2. Time for him to go. I'm losing all interest in going along week after week to watch the dross I'm watching. His signings have been *****, the football on display is dire, and the team has no bottle at all.

  3. Donald Crowhurst

The 36-year-old sailor set out from England in a plywood trimaran as a competitor in the 1968 Golden Globe round-the-world yacht race. Though he had little prior experience and his boat, the Teignmouth Electron, was frighteningly under-built, Crowhurst managed to convince a wealthy backer, race judges and the media that he was a serious contender.

He wasn't. After several weeks fighting leaks and making slow progress, Crowhurst began sending bogus radio reports indicating amazing success. At one point, he claimed to have covered 391 kilometers in a single day -- a world record, at the time. In reality, however, Crowhurst had sailed off the route to the coast of South America, where he decided to lie low and wait for the other competitors to come back around. He spent 111 days in radio silence, then called in and reported another bogus position behind the race leader. But when a competitor sank trying to "beat" the Teignmouth Electron for second place, Crowhurst was overcome with guilt. He confessed all in his logbook, then stepped over the side and vanished into the Atlantic.

  4. After watching Duncan prove he's not even good enough for the 1st division yesterday, I'd have no problem with Roy playing the same role. I can never understand the criticism aimed at McBain, he hardly ever makes a mistake, keeps it simple, is very skillful, and always gives 100%.

And he can pass a ball more than 5yds to a team member.

  5. As I predicted in the 'Prices' thread, the crowd was *****. The pricing should habe been much more realistic.

As for the game, much better than last time we played them. Munro was excellent, Proctor did well too.

Foran and Sanchez both ran their socks off, as did Cox. Ok, he got a flukey goal, but Eagle is just mince. Not been impressed with him once this season. Far too lightweight, can't beat a man, and his crossing is woeful.

Hopefully this might kickstart our season, and it's good to have a final to look forward to.

Oh aye, Bulvitis almost produces a heart attack anytime the ball goes near him :021:

  6. First half we were well on top til they got their first. Then it all fell apart. Special mention for the entire defence, Duncan, and Barrowman for being a comlete waste of time.

Second half much better, but then Partick sat back and tried to defend their lead.

Only positives for me were Esson, who made some crucial saves, Hayes, and Ross.

We'll be struggling to maintain crowds at the 2000 level at this rate. Anyone who had any pretensions we'd get straight out of this league best think again. Bottom half of the table I reckon.

  7. I'm all for being positive, but when we have to endure home performances like Ayr, and that pile of ***** yesterday, then it's hard.

I've taken a mate in with me to both home games, because he loves his football, and stays too far away from his home team. Don't think he wants to come in again as, in his words, they're fecking mince!! Bit hard to argue with that after yesterday.

  8. Great game. We certainly had the better chances to win it. Cox should've got a second when through on Bullock, and Foran forced a fantastic save. Much better than last week, with nearly everyone getting pass marks.

The only downside was Eagles...he was mince, and has been everytime I've seen him.

Good point, though slightly disappointed we didn't take all three. Didn't think Dundee looked anything special at all. Infact, in Harkins they've got pretty much a one man team.

  9. Massive game next week, after the disappointment of yesterday. Seeing as everyone seems to think Dundee will walk away with the league it'd be brilliant if we gave them with a reality check.

Be great to see the same numbers, or more, that were at EEP. So who's going?

    Me+3

  10. Thought we were going to win easily after we dominated the first 15 minutes but then we just seemed to run out of ideas. And then never looked like scoring.

We seemed to want to walk the ball into the net, and to see so many clear cut shooting opportunities wasted in favour of another pass was frustrating. In saying that, we played some pretty nice stuff at times, and it was a welcome change to see the ball being played on the deck.

The two wingers were both absolutely mince. Especially the wee fat one (Hayes?).

Oh well, bring on next week.

  11. You can't beat them!! And yesterday's was just the best. So much better than scoring early on then playing out the rest of the game.

Trying to think of other injury time winners we've had....can only think of Dargo against D Utd a few years back.
