  1. That was as comfortable a win as we'll get all season. Just how dire were Aberdeen?? That's not to take anything away from us, but that's by far the worst Dons team I've seen.

Apart from a brief flurry by them after the break, we were in total control, and could've won by more.

The defence was solid, Munro had his best game in an age. Thought both Shinnie, and Duff were outstanding.

Duncan showed why he's needed in the middle, and if it's between him and Cox for that midfield spot, then there's only one winner imo.

Not sure how Foran got MOTM, not that he didn't play well. But Hayes was superb, and Considine will be having a few nightmares about him for a while.

Great win, and not before time we beat them at home.

  2. Difference between the 2 teams in my opinion was that they took their chances...we didn't. We created enough, but just couldn't finish.

The defence seemed all over the place as soon as Kyle came on. Munro had a decent game, the only defender who did, so I'm not sure why he's getting so much stick.

Midfield is a worry. Duff is steady enough, and at least he can pick a pass. But that means dropping Duncan to accomodate him. Now, I'm no great fan of Duncan, but from what I've seen of Cox this season, I'd say he's miles off the standard needed. Yep, he looked good last year, but he looks out of his depth at the moment. So, get Duncan straight back in for next week.

Other than that....Ross was excellent, and Hayes had his moments. Entertaining game I thought.

Oh, and the dickhead who sits a few rows behind me who spent the whole 90 minutes loudly slagging off Proctor deserves a good fecking slap.

  3. That was one of the worst games I've ever had to sit through. I should've done what the woman next to me did....left at half time!! We could still be playing now and not scored. If the whole crowd can see in the first 10 minutes that Rooney isnt going to win a thing in the air against Mensing, why can't the players see it too? There didn't seem to be any attempt to play a plan b.

Not sure why anyone thinks Hayes had a decent game, that was easily the worst I've ever seen him play. And as for Cox...he was awful too. In fact, other than Gillet and Ross, the whole team was mince.

I guess 3 points from 3 games isn't too bad, but these games against those we expect to be around us come the end of the season are really the ones we need to be picking up points from. Especially at home.

  4. Nothing much to add except that Lee Cox is no right back!! He was awful there, the number of times their winger skipped past him was embarrassing.

Other than that...comfortable win, dull match.

  5. What has Chris Burke got to do to get selected??

Seen him 4 times for Cardiff, on visits home, since the NY and he's been outstanding every time. By all accounts he's started this season in similar fashion.

  6. What a performance that was!!

McCanns goal was one of the best I've seen from an ICT player....can't wait to see it again. We could've easily scored 6 or 7 today, we were superb. Eric probably just shades MOTM for me, just ahead of Proctor. In saying that, every player deserves a 10 today.

  7. Pretty much what everyone else has said. We were excellent in the first half, but got totally outplayed in the second. It could realistically have been 4 or 5 to them if they'd taken their chances, and didn't have Samaras.

Defence was solid I thought. Esson was excellent. McCann looked very good, but Gillet was my MOTM. Great buy. Cox was a bit anonymous in the middle, and I thought Ross just didn't get into the game at all.

Can't be too disappointed. It's the teams we expect to be around us we need to take the points off, anything against the likes of the OF is a bonus.

  8. Great decision. It's clear who the leader on the pitch was last season. Foran was constantly encouraging, and haranguing those around him, and was a real leader.

No offence to Grant, but he was never a great captain, and I felt his game declined when he was given the added responsibility. Hopefully, he'll now be back to his best.

Anyway, as someone else pointed out....it's just an armband.

  9. Won on them all yesterday....Had down S Korea for the win, Argentina win, and England for the draw.

    Today...had Slovenia for the win.

    Got Serbia for the win.

Then I'm going to plough it all on Germany tonight.

The pot's building up nicely...only got one game wrong so far.

  10. I'm going to be going along with testing the theory game-by-game.

I start with ?5 on Mexico at 13/8. If I win i'll stick the cash on the Uraguay/France match.

All my betting is done with William Hill

Match by match for me too.

Got SA / Mexico down for the draw 17/10.

    Uruguay to beat France 11/4.

    Doubled up on it too.

  11. 1 Inverness CT P 36 W11 D4 L3 G36 A20 W10 D6 L2 G36 A12 GD40 P73

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    2 Dundee 36 12 4 2 30 13 4 9 5 18 21 14 61

That makes for good reading! After all the doubts and low expectations, we actually ended up walking the league in the end. To turn a 15 point deficit into a 12 point winning margin, in just 5 months, is an incredible feat.

Just 5 defeats all season, just 12 goals conceded away from home all season, 18 clean sheets, and a goal difference more than double any of our rivals. Just superb form :004:

Just a massive well done to all the players, staff, and Terry and Mo, for providing us all with a season to remember B)
