Do people really beleive the atmosphere in the North Stand is any better than the Main Stand. I sit in the Main Stand and there is barely any noise comes from the North Stand. Not that the Main Stand is any better mind you.

Hard to disagree with this. I get that people will have wanted to sit in their normal seats in the NS but any atmosphere there died with S94 moved to the West Stand.

SFA panel to meet on Friday to consider action against Queens Park. Euan Henderson was not registered before the original date of the tie so should not have played on Tuesday night. Knowing our luck the SFA might just fine them and let them through - the Central Belt Mafia might see to that.

The minimum punishment they will get is mandatory ejection from the tournament. The only thing that varies is how big a fine they receive as well.

I agree with all of that RIG, but to put out reports, video and other media without a hint of a suggestion that something might be amiss. It changes the complexion of everything they have already put out.

Not our fault, so let's be the good guys here and say did that really happen. The truth is they were better than us on the park.

I think this is the worst part of it all really. I can't make midweek games anymore up at TCS but from those I know who were there it was pretty dreadful stuff and we were played off the park. The BBC stats (pinch of salt etc) certainly seem to agree with that. We used to be a real Scottish Cup team to fear. Now we seem to surrender meekly and it's a sad sight.

Just to add more spice ....July 2022

The Hibees are facing an early exit at the group stage of the Premier Sports Cup competition after Wednesday’s draw with Morton. The Championship club took the lead before Ewan Henderson’s equaliser ......Hibs have effectively been kicked OUT of the Premier Sports Cup after fielding ineligible Rocky Bushiri. The result will be recorded as a 3-0 win to Morton. Scottish Cup rule 12.5 states only those players signed for the first match can be involved in the rescheduled game.

We are interested in Euan Henderson not Ewan Henderson

I ask because if we're talking a couple of stewards for a couple of hours and a couple of turnstile operators for an hour and a bit of electric, then it's low hundreds of pounds.

If that decision causes some people not to attend, and comments in various places suggest this is the case, and/or it further erodes fan affinity, then is it really financially prudent?

You can argue that it's ridiculous fans would take that stance, but it doesn't change the fact that they do and it shouldn't be dismissed, especially when every penny is needed.

If there are other cost savings and we start getting into larger numbers, then I totally get it.

We do it for the other cups I see no reason why we shouldn't do it for the Scottish Cup as well if appropriate. It's a midweek tie against a league opponent we have played recently at "normal" prices. It's not exactly an intriguing tie. Furthermore, you'd imagine the club will be able to look at the number of tickets sold to get an idea of how many fans are turning up and determine whether it's worth opening another stand for home supporters or not as well as looking at past examples of similar midweek cup ties.

Obviously there are other ways we could save more money but that's for another thread I suspect...

  6. Ooops - forgot to post about this!

New pod out now with the usual review of some of the previous games (had to leave a few out due to time constraints), discussion about Dodds, interviews with Dan MacKay and Mark Ridgers and we also have a special guest panellist in the form of Liam Keogh!

Finally, if you follow us on Twitter, like and RT the tweet below promoting the pod you're in with a chance of winning a signed ICT shirt. Lovely stuff!

  7. Queens started well but we soon improved and had some good chances. A couple of efforts that zipped past the posts from Henderson and MacKay showed we were up for this and the save from a Mckay header was incredible. However, after getting on top Queens then looked the better side and finished the first half strongly creating some good chances of their own.

Second half I felt we started well but faded and Queens were well on top. The best chances feel to Murray who leathered a low shot across goal and I think he also had another cross / shot that seemed to knock over a Queens player at the back post and he couldn't turn it into an empty net. Devine made an incredible late block to dent Murray (I think) on another occasion. Again though, we seemed to improve and Mckay was given acres of space to shot but his effort was right at Ferrie and later on Nicholson hit a sweet volley straight at the keeper after a cross was scrambled away.

I was surprised how open the game was at times. For long periods there seemed to be no one in midfield for either side and players could do what they wanted under little to no pressure. Queens played some nice little triangular passes at pace which allowed them to quickly work open spaces at the back and we struggled to keep up. For us we tended to play channel balls for the wide players to run into. Both sides created a number of good openings in the 90.

Standouts for me were Mckay for us and Murray / Boateng for Queens

If rumours are to be believed we can't afford to sack Dodds we just gotta hope we survive both on and off the pitch this season and then hope the board won't renew his contract. I just can't see him resigning or coming to a mutual agreement with the board to terminate his contract. We're unfortunately stuck with him

We couldn't afford to sack Foran and look at where we are now.

Where are they both supposed to be playing? From the stand both are NOT playing midfield roles.

From watching on the livestream I am guessing they are part of the midfield 3 with Hyde (although he might be pushed up slightly) but I am not sure.

  10. There is absolutely no progression through this team. Duffy or Ram get the ball at the back and stride forward but Carson and Welsh are nowhere to be found to take the ball from them or make themselves available to create some space. So Duffy and Ram end up dinking or hoofing the ball forward in the vague direction of Mckay but most of the time it goes to Sneddon. It's repetitive garbage and absolutely mind boggling how Dodds hasn't done something to address this. I think we've had one shot in the first half. Pathetic.

BBC app now has Delaney starting.

We will see what Barrett is made of up against Bannigan.

Any word on Devine, Shaw and Harper. It just goes on and on.

Isn't Barrett a RB? If so, and I haven't lost my mind, then it's unlikely he will be in many tussles with Bannigan.
