  8. From Inverness Courier http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/News/Cash-injection-close-states-Caley-Thistles-newest-director-05032012.htm Cash injection close states Caley Thistle's newest director By Andy Dixon THERE is only one more hurdle to be negotiated before a six-figure investment in Inverness Caley Thistle is secured, it can be revealed. The Scottish Premier League club’s newest director, Richard Smith, says the matter must be dealt with in order to trigger investment from a group of expatriate supporters. The five-strong party — who all have homes in Inverness but are based around the world — have come together to form an investment company called Muirfield Mills. Mr Smith, director of Allied Surveyors Scotland, in Fairways Business Park, will be the group’s voice on the Caley Thistle board. He replaces former club chairman George Fraser, who stood down in September when he was replaced at the helm by Kenny Cameron. Negotiations towards securing the investment have been ongoing since last summer and has included club president David Sutherland, who was the majority shareholder as head of the Tulloch Group, reaching an agreement in relation to his company’s shares of just under 30 per cent. The shareholding — reportedly worth up to £500,000 — has been transferred to the Inverness Caledonian Trust. Mr Sutherland, who was willing to offload the shares for free if it meant the club’s progress could continue, retained his personal shares of less than two per cent.
  9. Players didn't give up just team lacks cutting edge as several chances created 2nd half but didn't make their keeper work enough. Commentators correct United just have that extra class of player and looked from outset a better footballing team. Thought Sutherland was best of the bunch in terms of effort and Esson save in 1st half kept us in game although even he didn't look as solid as normal. Bring on Kilmarnock and the hope that we can get back on track and 3pts but it's going to have to take an improvement on what was on show this evening.
  10. ....and we can be pretty sure that Nigel Clough won't be buying any of our players on tonight's performance.
  11. And it came off his shoulder. 3-0 now - Russell again
  12. We've actually created chances Golabart, Sutherland, Tansey, Gnapka and MacKay. Both Golabart and MacKay should have done better with their efforts.
  13. Yer man collides with Esson and it's nearly a 3rd, yellow now to Tansey (harsh) and Golabart lucky not to concede penalty
  14. If I recall correctly before tonight's yellow is Foran not the worst player in league on points total - guess he has now stretched his lead
  15. United look a lot better 2nd half - Foran picks another yellow card
  16. Not much in it - United look like they have the greater ability to pass the ball around. Thought Sutherland and Tade have toiled away but no real stand outs. Rankin strike was a good one. Poor clearance from Esson and lacklustre challenge from Foran who was more concerned with claiming for hand ball gave Rankin the chance to get space and pop the ball over Esson who was off his line. A big improvement needed for the 2nd half - if Utd get a 2nd I think it will be game over. Doesn't look too bad a crowd but seems like absolutely no atmosphere based on tv coverage.
  17. Is one of them the famous Danish keeper Bent Koch?
  18. Steve Mandana is one of four goalkeeping brothers ;-)
  19. More stories emerging - both Port Vale and Portsmouth struggling to see out the season with players at Pompey not paid since December. I am sure there will be a few more to follow as more IR PAYE targets surface....
