Whatever happened to Luke Denson from Colwyn Bay after his trial in May - was he given an offer or a 'no thanks'?

On the Newport county site posters believe he is heading to us or county. All seem to agree he has been a decent player for county as they have progressed but several have questioned whether he can make the next step up. If he is heading our way then he could well be a decent defensive acquisition. PS - but then this may just be Rangers new type of 'big' signing ;-)

Item from Tribal Football - Dani Sanchez has signed a new one year deal with Wellington Phoenix.... The 27-year old Spanish midfielder has penned a one-year deal to remain with the A-League club after a fairly successful debut season following his move from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in July last year. “We are delighted to have secured Dani’s services for another year,” Phoenix general manager David Dome said. “He is a player who has shown he has the qualities needed for the A-League.” Head coach Ricki Herbert added: “Dani showed he had real quality last season and it was just unfortunate that, at times, circumstances forced us to play him in what was possibly not his best position. “With the squad we are putting together I’m confident Dani will be able to play to his true potential. “He is talented and has great vision.” Still think he was worth at least another season and with the season that has just gone he would have been a useful addition to the squad....

Disappointed about this. If nothing else this shows the folly of one year deals. People will argue it is a sign of the times but that is bolloxs - if you have to keep reinventing your team each year then you cannot build anything meaningful and eventually the odds are you are going down. Also as a board you have put your faith in the manager and his team so let him offer 2 year deals. I think this is the first real sign that we will see a completely new team next year again. I am concerned where our club is heading and as such it puts a far bigger strain on our management team to try and create a solid platform on which to build on.

Are you suggesting that improvement on that is a big ask ?!! Shouldn't be but you never know. Squad for next season needs to get finalised asap and any new players bedded in pre-season so we can start off on the right foot. Would like to see better than 10th but still hoping for that long awaited cup final appearance - League or Scottish cup.
