  1. Even Tokes going for the acrobatic attempt :-)
  2. Well taken pen - Tade should have wrapped it up for us though
  3. Hayes has definitely made a difference - been involved in nearly all our chances. The ball through for McKay was excellent and he was unlucky it came back off the post. Hibs best chance has come from poor pass back to Tuffey. Biggest concern is this appears to be going the way of the August game and we know what happened then.
  4. A couple of good chances in the first 15 - got to start taking some of them or it could be d?j? vu
  5. This was the team from the last Hibs home game in August 2011 - how much different will the line up be on Sunday - probably not much if you replace Esson and Aldred. TEAM:?Ryan Esson, Ross Tokely, Kenny Gillet, Tom Aldred, Thomas Piermayr, Johnny Hayes, Nick Ross (Aaron Doran 58), Greg Tansey, Owain Tudur Jones, Richie Foran, Gregory Tade (Shane Sutherland 69) SUBS: Jonny Tuffey, David Proctor, Gavin Morrison, Graeme Shinnie,?Andrew Shinnie
  6. The squads for tonight's game are listed on TeamTalk - no change from the weekend - Hayes still not in.... Inverness (from): Tuffey, Tokely, Golobart, Shinnie, Tansey, Foran, Tudur Jones, Tade, Gnakpa, Sutherland, McKay, Winnall, Ross, Proctor, Morrison, Williams, Mathieson. St Johnstone (from): Mannus, C Davidson, Maybury, Wright, McCracken, MacKay, Morris, Croft, Robertson, Craig, Keatings, M Davidson, Millar, Sandaza, Gilchrist, Oyenuga, Enckelman, Haber, Sheridan.
  7. I do believe we will be in the SPL next season but I will be a lot more comfortable if we pick up 3pts against St.Johnstone in mid-week and then I think we will see a different type of play from the players for the remaining games. I can't see the bottom two winning half of their games to go but you never know. As I have said since the first home game of the season - Hibs are dire - and how they got three points off us that day still puzzles me. But in order to comply with the thread - well done Terry and Maurice - it's been a long hard season so far and though your team has on far too few occasions shown the standard of play that we all know they have within them they have done enough to get us past the 30 point mark with eight games to go. Hopefully next season you can finalize the squad a lot quicker and we will see a little more luck with the injuries. Looking forward to the County games....
  8. I thought Calderwood's comment was harsh also. Proctor did his job well when he came on and the smile on his face when he made a clearance near the end and deservedly got a couple of pats on the back was class. I for one actually hope he stays at the club as I think he has a role to play as part of this new squad that is being developed. As has been said already Aberdeen were dire in the first half and although they improved in the second half they were not able to get past our defence who held out well. Missed chances could have come back to haunt us but this was a great team display by all. I actually thought Tade played the lone striker role well once we were down to 10 and harried the Aberdeen defence as best he could. Was never going to be easy for him but on at least two occasions he actually created opportunities and in the first half he was winning quite a few headers/knock-ons to set us up. Both Foran and Tade could have got us a second but that is irrelevant now. Tuffey, Piermayr, Tokely, Golobart, Shinnie all played well - yeh there were the usual moments that have sometimes undone us this season but this time it went our way. There are though still items to work on in training - several free kick opportunities were wasted and Meekings tackling (Terry and Maurice give him some help) needs some refinement - but well done lads - not just for the 3 pts but also ensuring that I had a return to winning ways with Mr Coral. Now let's see if we can build on this for the last eight games starting against St.Johnstone in mid-week.
  9. The ball just keeps coming back....
  10. Tade through and scuffed it - great chance missed Tansey OFF Proctor ON so all hands to the pumps....
  11. Tade off for treatment so down to 9 at present
  12. Piermayr ON McKay OFF ....a long 30 mins now....
  13. Meekings OFF Should have known better - dived in on player for both yellow cards - second one was a stupid challenge so soon after the first one also
  14. Aberdeen look more effective already in the first 5 mins of the second half - good save by Tuffey
  15. A good first half with plenty of chances created. Two contentious hand balls one for each side - on another day both could have been given. The goal was well taken - Tade has battled away well and has won quite a few knock ons. Foran's chance should have put us 2 up and Sutherland did look like he was knicked when he went down in the box at the end of the first half. Only concern is can Aberdeen be so poor in the second half otherwise we may rue some of those missed opportunities.
  16. Big hit by Rae on Tade - deserved that yellow card
  17. From Sporting Life: The Highlanders were dealt a blow before the match when goalkeeper Ryan Esson picked up an injury during the pre-match warm-up and was replaced by Northern Ireland international Jonny Tuffey.
  18. Bench listed as: 25 Mathison 14 Proctor 24 Williams 02 Piermayr 11 Ross 17 Morrison 20 Winnall But he is sitting there so must have been injured in warm up or feeling unwell as he is wearing kit
  19. Foran should have made it 2-0 - pretty weak strike
