  1. the guardian are reporting butcher will be offered the job after the board picked him as the preferred candidate tonight.he met fraser and bennett today and will bring malpas as number 2. contract till end of season. should be announced tomorow they say. really must learn how to do those linky things
  2. He is not confirmed yet so doubt anyone will know his number 2, at moment it is just hearsay that he has the job Assuming he gets to chose his guy it will almost certainly be Malpas. aye maybe but is it not just motherwell they have worked together at? malpas has been his own man since too. i thought we might see a surprise number 2 but we'll soon see anyway
  3. any word whose gonna be number 2.
  4. i'll be happy enough if its butcher, although it was robbo for me, but he'll command respect and is experienced.more important for me is that we get a quality striker in before the window shuts. if that doesn't happen then the board will look like total mugs
  5. no we're going 3.4.3
  6. last time out really was a **** take. the shortlist was very short.about 1 i reckon. they even had time in their busy selection process to have a wee meeting with the fans to hear our views. very different this time.! cant believe now i wasted the petrol going to that meeting.

on the other hand himself and gough didn't exactly set the heather alight with livi.thing is you can pick holes any all off the supposed shortlisted candidates records. a lot should boil down to how they perform at interview

tbh this morning i'd have welcomed crusty the clown so i'll just wait and see with interest then get behind them for a rollercoaster finish to the season

How many on that list would be available to take the job on straight away? How many currently have employers that would need to be compensated? Gotta be Robbo...!! the guardian claims butcher has already been approached and would carry on as scotland no 2 so no compo required.25/1 looks enticing long odds at the minute !!

there's a couple of articles in the sporting life and scotsman i just seen with comments on brewsters sacking from barry wilson, from russell duncan saying the players are crapping it over their futures now with a new boss coming in and from 10 cc offering his services! theres a link from the bbc site or any one of you computer literate fellas might do one if anyone wants a read !
  17. maybe richie byrne's a lucky charm. think it was him i read that his last two clubs sacked the manager as soon as he turned up

its the sensible option, but lets see if the board see sense
  19. woooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooo result. this seasons performance has seen me get more and more angry with brewster and despite not welcoming his appointment i wanted him to succeed.things have soured to an extent that shouldn't have been allowed to happen and at least i can now wish him well for whatever he does in the future and look forward with renewed optimism for ict this season. c'mon the caley jags

No...they dont! Dont know why they feel the need to remain annonymous. I have always been happy for people to know my stance on Brewster, even when i was in the minority, back at the begining! Interestingly......Wyness_Legend seems have changed his tune now, and seems to sit in the same camp as probably 85% of the ICT Support. I'd like to point out that those saying he should stay don't necessarily think he's doing a good job. A new manager at this point in the season would need time to assess the team and that's time we don't have. The damage to this seasons campaign is already done, I think Brewster should have gone before the transfer window opened but he didn't and he was given cash to buy talent in. That talent he has brought in is yet to gel and he must be on the lookout for a target man too, so as it stands I'd say he should stay and get us out of this mire we're in. At the end of the season we'll either be back in the First Division or we'll have pulled off a Houdini act. If we're in the First then attendances will fall turnover will fall and quality of football will fall (I know) but we'll hopefully have a new manager, if we're still in the SPL we'll have a manager who will have learnt a lot from this campaign (If indeed he can learn from his mistakes) Me, I voted against sacking him now as that horse has bolted, should have been done before the window. entitled to your opinion ,but i dont agree its too late, but just wondered whats your thinking behind leaving him in command, surely a new boss has plenty time to turn it around unless you feel the players haven't got it in them regardless and a new boss wont have time to sign anyone ?

Just looked at Nottingham Forrest results since they changed manager!! Guess what....4 wins in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have not added any players, the same team...just a different manager We changed our manager and went on to winn the last five games of the season. Then we went back to normal. Would a change be for the best. Considering the teams we have to play next I doubt the effect would kick in. i think our next four fixtures make it an ideal time to change. four games which under brewster will probably end pointless but which with the lift a new manager would bring to the team and fans i'd bet on taking 6 maybe 7 and provide a springboard to bring into some crunch meetings with teams in the bottom six
  22. I can't see Brew ever winning the fans back and we'll lose every game he is still here for if the fans continue to chant for him out 60 minutes into a match. We had 30 minutes at least to get back into that game and although it never looked likely we had to get behind the team and at least give them full support until the end... afterwards protest all you want your bang on there whether you want brewster to stay or go. HE WONT EVER WIN THE FANS BACK.on that basis alone he has to go.its over for him one way or another, the only question is whether the club goes down with him
