i too think we should keep burley. i've been wanting a manager not scared to attack for years and while he's made some mistakes i also think he's been desperately unlucky at crucial times. he seems to have found his feet now though and really, who would we get thats better anyway, it'll just be the usual suspects touted again like souness etc. dont think miller should be scapegoat either, at least the likes of him, weir and marshall will bust a gut for the country no matter what's thrown at them unlike that turnip boyd.anyone that can turn their back on playing for their country doesnt deserve a cap

the booing yesterday was a total disgrace regardless of your view on lional. i'm betting most of it was from the couple of thousand glory hunters that don't come to the lower profile games and see that he's been pretty immense since almost the new year. he does make you nervous at times but yesterday's nightmare aside he hasn't been any more prone to mistakes than several other players.

gordon brown doesn't know how to shut up. we usually get his regular views on important topics such as big brother,x factor , etc and if true to form would have been out basking in englands ashes win. the silence is deafening and its called squirming. gaddafis show in tripoli though whilst not exactly unexpected have no actual bearing on the decision itself.

yes , gordon brown the political coward is still silent, no doubt couped up with mandelson desperately trying to wriggle out of this. labour in scotland meanwhile do what they always do, cheap digs, talk scotland down. dont remember there being quite such a fuss down south or in the u.s when the british government released a large band of convicted i.r.a murderers in their best of health??
