  1. Thanks for the thoughtful and respectful reply. Don't disagree with most of what you said other than, from where I was sitting in the main stand, some Hamilton fans were looking for trouble as they were masked and did run towards our fans. Anyway as you say, let's get back to football in the new season as you say.
  2. Cove aren't full time as far as I'm aware.
  3. Don't think that's a fair summary. Some of our fans as well as some of the Hamilton fans were simply looking for a fight and if these fans can be identified, then they should be punished. If under 16/18, then someone needs to name and shame them. Damaging your own seats is moronic and should not happen. You could see, from the main stand, that fans were going to charge on the pitch and, to be honest, no amount of police or stewarding would have stopped that. What was sad that there were older adults with kids coming onto the pitch as well putting their kids at risk. Certainly the stewarding was inadequate, although I think the stewards did a good job. Had their been stewarding at the Hamilton end to stop their idiots invading the pitch, then the situation may have been diffused. A few police at their end would have helped hugely as well. The club do need to be honest about why so few stewards and police were in place and what they are going to do in future.
  4. Quite simply, those found to have damaged seats etc, should be named and shamed, with photographs etc. Too many young people, for they are not fans, think they can do anything they want in today's society and suffer no consequences as punishment seems to be frowned upon by the authorities. Rant over.
  5. Clicked on the link but won't let me vote or enter anything. Am I doing something wrong?.Tried from the official club page as well but same issue.
  6. I'm afraid Kellagher doesn't seem to accept responsibility for his decisions which have got us into this pickle. His constant chopping and changing of the team since New Year has, in my opinion, contributed to the amount of draws we have had. His lack of substitutions at times is also baffling. More concerning perhaps is that he doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes.
  7. But Kellagher set the team up to play, by the looks of things, to not get beat. As seen against Peterhead, let the team off the leash and let them play.
  8. Poor game and we seemed lacking in energy and urgency on the first half. Substitutions and change on formation helped in the second half but we started to sit way too deep after we scored. Thus gave Kelty plenty of space to attack us but fortunately they were so poor. Felt Kellagher should have been telling yhe team to get higher up the pitch but for whatever reason we didn't. A better team than Kelty could have punished us. Still, a win is a win so let's go and finish the job next week Finally the referee, he was simply dreadful and inconsistent with his decisions. We definitely got done by him.
  9. There will be criticism of the ref from me. Thought he was poor and very inconsistent. Some of the bookings were ridiculous and could easily lead to a sending off. As for the game, deserved win. Peterhead are one of the poorest teams I have seen in this league.
  10. If you can see how that penalty was given, your a better man than me. Even watching on TV, it didn't look like the Stenny player was anywhere near the ball. Given there was a blatant push on Sole near the end when he was possibly breaking clear just highlights how inconsistent the ref was.
  11. After praising Kellagher for his tactics tactics, how he didn't use his bench sooner is inexcusable Penalty decision was, not for the first time, this season was poor, it simply wasn't a penalty. Ref was poor all night and gave us nothing
  12. Job half done, now go on and finish it early in the second half. The difference playing Bavidge through the middle is huge ad is playing at a quicker tempo. Wotherspoon has also made a difference. I think we have also been more physical and aggressive against Stenny which is good as they normally try to dominated us. Ref looks a bit card happy but inconsistent with them. Kellagher also looks to have learned a lesson to to let the full backs bomb forward as much leaving Devine and Savage exposed. Game tailor made for Sole to use his pace if Stenny tire.
  13. Simply don't feel he adds more than Mcleod does at right back. He was also poor defensively against Raith. Failing to see what extra he gives us when ge plays. Was decent against QOS but nothing special.
  14. Well we'll see what the tombola spits out again but if Bavidge isn't played as a central striker Chalmers plays Milllen retains his place and we don't change tactically, I thing we'll get what we deserve from the game, sweet fa.
  15. Excellent post BC. There has to be a reason why the team is chopped and changed too much. I too have heard rumours that certain players had to be played who were on loan as, otherwise the loan would be withdrawn. Personally, I don't think Kellagher would survive in the Championship but if the club insist on keeping him, he needs an experienced number 2. Had Malpas been brought in earlier to assist Foran, would we have avoided relegation?. The other issue I have with Kellagher is a lack of tactically awareness. Teams now know how we will play and he seems unable to adapt. Playing players out of position, when everyone can see it's not working doesn't help.
  16. I've said thus a couple of times already that I didn't think Kellagher was a particularly good manager, coach maybe but manager no. His team selections are baffling as are playing players out of position and Gas no plan B tactically. Billy simply shouldn't be starting anymore, sure bring him on as a sub if needed but he cannot play as the main striker. Bavidge needs to play through the middle as he has the pace and skills to make runs that Billy can't anymore. Chalmers needs dropped as he slows the game down far too much. Everyone there last night could seem substitutions needed made and the pace upped by using the subs. Everyone except Kellagher that is which is concerning and, although too late now, we need to work out alternative ways to play. Teams have sussed up out, especially since Christmas and Kellagher hasn't responded. He isn't the man to lead us if we get to the Championship and sadly, think we need to sever ties at the end of the season.
  17. The usual tombola for team selection again tonight. Hopefully the manager gets it right. Personally. I think it's pretty poor that Millen is reported as being captain.
  18. Sorry to say this but this is on the manager for his constant changing of the team. Sure Zimba getting sent off didn't help, this has been coming as he is a bit volatile volatile at times. Hopefully Kellagher has learnt a lesson but I I wouldn't bet on it
  19. I do hope we win today but, as others have said, this constant chopping and changing is baffling. If we lose, this has to be squarely on the manager and not for the first time. Kellagher surely has to realise that his job us on the line if we don't win promotion.
  20. Sole is injured at the moment
  21. Peterhead goal was so offside, how it was given was unbelievable. Peterhead player ran from an offside position, clearly interfering with play, to prod the ball home. Unbelievably, the linesman didn't flag and while the referee did speak to him still awarded the goal. How the referee didn't see the offside either beggars belief. Referee was really poor tonight, totally inconsistent. Comfortable win otherwise.
  22. Bit of a strange game. We dominated for large parts but we were poor in defence and midfield with wages too many mistakes being made. Passing was really poor at times especially from Chalmers. The midfield of Chalnets, Stewart and Allen just doesn't work and, personally, I think Chalmers slows the game down far too much. He always seems to play with his back to the opposition goal. Anyway. A wins a win so onwards and upwards. Referee was poor again today, hugely inconsistent in his decisions. Montrose player looked offside for the penalty so why linesman didn't flag is a mystery.
  23. Definite penalty if the ref gives Stenhousemuir similar fouls, McIntyres booking for example. That was no different to the foul on Bavidge, don't think he had the chance to really shoot and trouble the keeper before he was fouled.
  24. Referee totally spoilt the game by poor decisions, as did the stand side linesman. Very inconsistent refereeing with Brannan given a second yellow, rightly so under the laws of the game but the Stenny no 7 prevented a quick free kick for us and wasn't booked which was fortunate as he was already on a yellow. How we didn't get a penalty as well is unbelievable. Probably didn't do quite enough to win but given the circumstances, will take the draw.
