Are you serious ? Sorry, not getting at you, but please name me one player from the modern era who could/can play in every position on the field .... and lets make it a tad easier and say every outfield position.

oh man, i just wish i could take half of the main stand and drop them in section 113 at a Toronto FC game (look it up on youtube - 113 toronto fc u-sector etc) ..... maybe that would bring back some of the passion and let people enjoy themselves .... its an absolute blast ..... mind you, some attractive football and consistent results would also help
  6. Hibs have signed Jonatan Johansson from Swedish club Malmo. Methinks this might be a decent move .......... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ian/7728021.stm
  7. Played them 14 times in the SPL Won 6, Drawn 2, Lost 6 http://stats.caleythistleonline.com/opponent.php?opp=10
  8. and look at the damage you did .......
  9. We dont need to be winners all the time to be consistent. The level of effort can also be consistent. We are not the best side in the SPL we are a mid to bottom half team. There are certain games however that we should be competing fiercely in and we do not seem to be doing that. I can actually accept being beaten by any other team in the SPL but only if it is on merit. Its not the fact that we lost a game that sticks in most people's craws, its the nature of that loss. The fact of the matter is that we have not won 2 back to back league games since April. I dont care who each individual poster blames for this, whether it be Brewster with his chopping and changing of tactics and personnel, or the players themselves ..... or a bit of both, the bottom line is that consistent inconsistency is worrying in the extreme .... Opening day - we beat Aberdeen ... the best possible start and a great performance, the next week we lose at home to Hamilton in an instantly forgettable game strewn with errors. We then got a draw with Hibs with both teams looking scrappy before going to Falkirk and coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 in a game we dominated. Then we lose at home to St Mirren because we didnt turn up for the second half and to Hearts in the next game because we couldnt put the ball in the back of the net !!! Never mind, with such a bad run, we go out and win the next game against Kilmarnock 3-1 with an excellent performance before slumping at Tannadice the following week in another poor game. Then Celtic come calling and despite losing, we fight and battle for everything and put in a performance that was probably worth at least a point. The Motherwell game was a bit of a lottery due to the conditions, but the following week came THAT Rangers game !!! nuff said. Not to worry, after being rodgered royally at Ibrox, we put in a good performance at Easter Road and come out deserved winners. Which brings us to last night where we handicap ourselves by playing a training match for the first 45 and only start playing when we go to 4-4-2 and bring on the subs ......

Strachan described Cervi (the American) as a "two year project" suggesting that he would either become backup to Mark as and when Boruc left, or perhaps take over the #1 role with Mark staying as #2. If Boruc stays, then I can see Mark being pushed out at the end of his contract as the 6' 6" Cervi is highly rated and was recently drafted into the US national team ....... Has he been given a work permit yet ? Last I heard, he was trying to prove his Italian heritage so he could be classed as Euro citizen because he failed to meet visa requirements. Fox was reserve keeper last night and Cervi is not on the Celtic squad list on the SPL website.
  12. I did - on the matchday thread
  13. I have always had a lot of time for Yogi and his "banter" even back to the days when he was at Ayr.
  14. Can you confirm (for the stats) ..... none of the online sites reported a booking for him (SKY, P&J, BBC, Sportbox, Sporting Life etc)
  15. Bazza off field for bandage, Barr back on !!! Celtic now 2 up - Sheridan again.
  16. BP block it tried it ? Its a new version - not java, flash or anything like that.
  17. Robbo is doing "open all mics"
  18. Vigurs is a midfielder. I will give Brewster credit for making a change so early. He has been slagged off many times for not making changes until it is too late ... at least this time it looks like he knows we have been ***** and is trying to change it around !
  19. HT report available : HERE the last few seconds say it all.
  20. HT: ICT 0-1 Falkirk
  21. 4-5-1 playing very deep and relying on counter attack according to Robbo who is commentating on open all mics
  22. team lines now up.
  23. and that brings us back to ... consistency !!! Quite a few of us have mentioned it, and quite a few have mentioned the lack of it, both in terms of ICT and other teams ..... If Brewster and the players can somehow collaborate to make our team more consistent then maybe, this type of discussion wont be the only consistent thing on the site !!!

  25. I expect Brewster to pick his best 11 every week and put it on the park. I expect those 11 players to be motivated by the manager as that is part of his job. I expect those 11 professional players to act in a professional manner, perform consistently, and get the job done. I do NOT expect us to win every game but I do expect us to put in an effort in each game. I do NOT expect everyone to like Brewster, that never happens with managers in almost any field. I do NOT expect us to lie down and be rodgered the way we were against Rangers. That is not acceptable.
