New announcer dude on the park
Why is it surprising? Should there be more defending the Board? If I had a volunteer who was making waves in my organisation I'd want him to stop. 1. Was Darren CaleyD's line manager in that post? If so he was the man to raise the issue. 2. It was not his right to an opinion just his expression of those opinions on here. He has possibly shown DS up in a bad light by raising questions about DS's motives around the property dealings around ICT, even though it is still possible that DS still has the clubs best interests at heart. I can't blame DS for trying to protect his childrens inheritence. 3. CaleyD made it clear that he wished to continue to share his views (good man) which the club could not accept. My way or the highway? Simples.

Agreed, but at the moment Fiona's getting pelters and it's out of order.

Come off it mate, I don't care how busy Fiona was that is a p!ss poor attempt of a report, which was also 12 hours behind what everyone else knew. "The club have confirmed the transfer of Dougie Imrie to Hamilton FC and the release of Andrew Barrowman from his contract. We would like to thank both players for their service and wish them all the best in their furture careers." It looks more like a statement of disinterest than an update Maybe she is disinterested, which is understandable in the circumstances. New responsibilities, heavier workload for little reward. Would you have her leave her home late at night just to update a website for you? This is her job, she was likely given a snippet to cut and paste into the website by a faceless director. We're a' Jock Tamsons bairns, Harry.

Stadium ownership
Nov 20 2008 CaleyD The lease already has transferred Alex (to a company owned and controlled by Sutherland) and there's been numerous enquiries made about changing the designated use for the land so as to allow the developer who now owns it to make a few quid from it. When this eventually happens (and it will, I'd bet every penny I have on it) then it won't be ICT who benefit, nor indeed will it be the Charitable Trust we were led to believe were taking ownership.....it will be David Sutherland, and he'll do so by a factor of 10 (or more) on what he originally paid for it.

Stadium ownership
Nov 15 2008 CaleyD Can't say I was overly surprised by the (non) response to my question regarding stadium ownership/lease. I'm not denying that the club got themselves out of a hole by selling the club, what I am questioning is the fact that when this was done we were led to believe that the new owners would be a charitable trust and not a company which is all but owned and controlled by a single person. As I've stated before, the proposal of using a Charitable Trust appealed to people and gained favour because we were led to believe that once the Trust got into a position where debt was cleared then it would act for the benefit of the footballing and sports community. In short, we sold the club on the cheap on the basis that their might be some long term benefit for everyone. As it now appears, the club was, IMO, stolen from under our noses and put into private hands. If the club are not willing to answer the question as to why this happened, then perhaps I should now direct my enquiries to the higher profile public figures who make up the Board of the Dormant Trust (which was suppose to receive stadium ownership) to ask why they have remained tight lipped on the affair, but are quite happy that their membership of that board be used on CV's and in public as some kind of status symbol? In fact, why does the Trust continue to exist at all, if not as an attempt to maintain the smokescreen? As I understand it, the Trust Board Members have and may still include a number of influential local businessmen, councillors, an ex provost and a member of the Scottish Parliament.

Official Club Website
The official website is a luxury as far as the club are concerned, they pay it little attention which is why this website is the first port of call for all ICT fans. Having reduced the staffing at the stadium the remaining staff find themselves taking on more responsibilities and they like the rest of us are human, with strengths and weaknesses.

Is this going to be a question and answer session without the answers? Maybe a journalist could ask the people in the know for us? Please.

Can I ask you to split this thread so we can continue to discuss the ownership of the stadium in a thread of its own please, CaleyD.

The person responsible for updating the website may have other duties. Are they even full-time employees? It is all too easy to point and laugh, spare a thought for the person you are trying to ridicule.

19th October 2006 CaleyD What happened to turn your mind CaleyD? And where has all the good will gone? If it hadn't been for David Sutherland would our club have survived to play in the SPL? Would we have survived at all? The investments made were timely and I thank David Sutherland and Tullochs for that, I would however like to see a plan put into place that would see the ownership of the stadium transferred back to the club. If only I could win the EuroMillions........

Maybe the club's staff have lives away from ICT. I wouldn't have expected an update from the club until the morning, after it's been delivered to my doorstep.

Edinburgh Killie SC Bus to Cup Game
Was asked what team I followed once when on a night out in Ayr. The look of horror on their faces when I said Caley. Obviously they thought I said Killie. When they realised their error the drinks started to flow and it was party time.

Imrie
Judas. Seriously though good luck Dougie, more likely to get a run out in Hamilton in the SPL than ICT in the First. What does that say about the SPL? Hastings, Imrie, who's next?

New announcer dude on the park
The reverse is also true, no club = no fans. Boycotting games would cause more damage than good. As CaleyD has stated he has no issue with being let go, just the manner in which it happened. I suspect Darren was in an awkward position and couldn't be seen to be supporting an individual who was questioning his employers motives whether it was in public or not. A free to join forum is about as public as you can get nowadays without a soapbox. I'd like to thank CaleyD for his contribution at TCS. Cheers CaleyD :P :clapping04: :clapping04:

Ouch. I don't see what right they had to do that if it was an arrangement you made directly with SRU. I'd be as mad as hell if it were me. I was looking forward to that rugby match.... I won't be going now. Nah, support the Rugby. This has nothing to do with them and the first thing I did was contact them to let them know the situation and they were very understanding. I didn't push the issue as I didn't want to cause them any hassle...more important they put on a great game and we stuff the French  I'll be there...even if it's in disguise :( Pink suit with yellow spots?
