have to agree with whats been said already... absolutely no point!! There is a reason there's a heirarchy and by adding an "SPL 2" they are just diminishing the importance of our premier league. If any league structuring is to be done it should be to make the SPL into a 16 team league, now more than ever considering the quality of the 1st division at the moment.. Livi, Dundee, Partick, St J, Clyde, Gretna are all capable of competing in the SPL off the field and if they were in the SPL they would have the money to buy players to compete on the field. The more competition and variety in Scottish football can only be a good thing... more clubs for scottish players to advertise their talent, different managers to play different styles of football. Lets be honest it's worked incredibly down in England..... in the Daily Record today it shows the different values that an SPL team can expect to earn after a successful season in comparison to what is earned down south. Proof is in the pudding!!

If thats correct Brew's having a laugh.... how he can rate Proctor - an injury prone youngster at the same value as Dods - our captain and experienced centre back is laughable. Yet again he is trying to use the press to unsettle our team.... can he not take a hint [move]GTF BREWSTER!!![/move]

I'd like to see more of Sutherland he definately looks like one for the future, hopefully he gets a chance this season!

Black and Rankin??? I thought we dropped Duncan to try and be more attacking :017:

I think because we have such a large squad this season we have enough players to cover 2 teams, it would have also given the guys a chance to prove that they should get a break in the first team. Glad to see Bayne a.k.a [glow=red,2,300]Psycho[/glow] grab a couple of goals should help his confidence

Brew makes his 34768th move [renamed]

Obviously Brew has got a very difficult job at United but I doubt Brew would have done aswell has CC has since taking over. His 5 out of 5 at the end of the season if not anything else, Brew's home record was horrible and it wasn't just the lack of points that pi55ed me off but the lack of imagination (and substitutions) the team showed. Since CC has taken over we have seen some good football back at ICT and yet we still have a solid defence. He might not have been able to ring the changes by buying a new team like Brew has done at United but he has definately made it his. IMO all we lost when Brew went was a fitness instructor and striker, even with that I was sick of watching him play himself when he obviously wasn't fit, his ego drove us through games not his skill as a manager. It's not just CC I'm delighted to have but Parkie aswell and we got all this + 250k Best bit of business ICT have ever done!! -
Parratt is offski for good Caff was excellent for us against Hibs and Celtic at right back last season probably Motm in both games and looked more than capable in that position... just because he had 1 unconvincing game against St Mirren doesn't mean he is uncapable of covering for Tokely.

There are plenty of songs you just need to learn them. The support is getting louder.... I've been sitting behind the goals in the North Stand since ... well since we moved to TCS but the main problem has been since we got rid of the terracing and it was harder for the "singers" to congregate in the same place. From the games so far this season there has been a collection of guys/girls willing to make noice sitting in the same place, the banter seems to be getting better and the noice will obviously increase. More will learn and do the same until eventually we will have a singing section. The main sand has always been for the sad ba5tards that prefer to sit with a prawn sandwich, thermal flask and a blanket over their knees :016:

goooooooooooooooo team!!! Well said though, I would love to find out what these muppets are doing about the marketing of the club. It seems they are going day by day when they should really be planning for the future, they can't exactly be that busy

Well what are you doing still posting on an ICT forum then???? Is it because no one else will speak to you??? :009:

I thought we might have tried to get a hold of Hamilton but obviously not!! I don't think we need anyone else in the team but I think we would struggle if Bazza got injured and by the looks of our midfield against Hibs I would like another option on the left aswell. I think Bayne will be given until Christmas to prove his worth to the team

If he plays like he did against Hibs for every game until the end of the season I'll be delighted to have him at ICT. The fact of the matter is that he wants to be closer to be closer to his misses & family which is not exactly a reason to hate the guy. What is annoying is the conduct of his agent to make his feelings known to the press regarding Dods transfer request. He is at ICT for the remainder of his contract and if he wants to leave after this season fair play to him but in that time we can look for a replacement or you never know he might decide that moving to Inverness would be a good idea for him and his misses. I didn't agree witht CC and the boards decision originally but after seeing the way Dods reacted on Saturday I'm more than happy that he will be with us for another season -
I don't think he's that bad tbh... his tunes are a bit gash but his banter is generally spot on

Tokely became a good player under Pele when pele realised he wasn't a defensive midfielder and was a better asset to the team at right back. He hasn't played any worse since the season he got player of the year it is just now we have better players around him....
-
Fair play on before Rangers :010: :010: Even Graham Spiers managed to almost sound magnanamus How Andy Walker can have an opinion when he knows so little about ICT is beyond me, he just opens wide and lets the 5hite flow :008: :008: Nice to see Brown getting some much deserved credit

:clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04: What he said!!

Broonie Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Duncan Black Keogh Wilson Rankin Dargo If we're going to get anything from Celtic we're gonna have to catch them on the counter so hopefully we'll see another solid display from our defense with Duncan & Black picking up the scraps from midfield and distributing the ball to the pace of Keogh, Rankin, Wilson and Dargo. If we are gonna get 3 points and get rid of the home form hoodoo now would be a cracking time to do it!!
-
would definately be an idea to have someone spare in midfield, with Petrov on the form he is currently and Nakamura floating across the midfield it would be worth having someone sitting behind Black and Rankin. If a striker is to be dropped I'd expect it to be Wyness although he would probably do a better job holding the ball up than Dargo.

"Basic Instinct 2"** It gets 2 for the pure and simple reason Sharon Stone is hardly in a scene with her clothes on!! But my advice would be to just go out and buy a porn because it would probably have a better story line. Pesh!! "Hostel"*** Seemed more like an american scary movie than a Tarantino film, again a lot of lovely naked ladies at the start. It was all very predictable and the casting was caak (apart from the lovely naked ladies). Watchable! "V for Vendetta"**** Yeh have to agree with all that's been said above... really good film with an interesting plot

eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhh :010: :010: :010: Were you watching the same game??? Apart from a few over zealous challenges I thought he was excellent, was strong in the challenge and supported attack whenever he got a chance. Sproules pace would cause any defender problems but he was obviously kept under wraps enough as we kept a clean sheet. I had him down under Dods and Black as our best performer
-
No! We're offering Dods first team football and all we are asking is that he fullfill his contract. I think Webster has a case because he can prove he was a first team regular before he put in his transfer request and has now been denied first team football and a transfer anywhere
-
agreed, that is the most important thing!! I think it was a bit harsh to say we lacked invention but more that both defenses were on form. I think we had more clear cut chances than Hibs but they did put us under a lot of pressure and especially when Sproule was let loose at Rossco. Broonie Rossco Dods Munro Hastings That is our defense and should not be tampered with unless ofcourse injury becomes an issue!!! All of them were superb and got stuck in when necessary even if it was slightly excessive. Brown I'm sure it must part of his contract that he has to have a new goalie top each week or he wont play :015: Graeme Smith had another howler on Sat..... Walter Smith is running out of excuses :017: The save in the first half from Stewart was top drawer, he was solid throughout Rossco Legend!!! Made some important challenges and got forward whenever possible, his end product wasn't always perfect but considering he missed half of preseason and that was only heis second game back he will get better as the season goes on. Hastings Was excellent at the back and made some good runs forward but also needs to work on his crossing. Golly is gonna have to work extremely hard to get another chance at left back. Dods Could have all gone wrong yesterday but he showed his professionalism by haing a blinder. Some of my mates were giving him a bit of stick throughout the game but by the end they were cheering him on. He didn't put a foot wrong and deserved to be MOTM. Munro Solid. Cleared anything Dodsy missed Wilson looks a lot fitter than last season and was probably our biggest threat from midfield. Needs to be more clinical in the final third McBain Didn't do anything wrong but think we needed a better option on the left. He never really looked comfortable on the ball and I can't remember him once hitting the byline. I would have liked to see Zander on for the last 20 mins to run at what looked like a slow defence. Morgan wasn't even on the bench???? is he injured or has he just fallen out of favour??? Black I'll be delighted if he signs a new contracy this week. In a class of his own yesterday, considering how highly Scott Brown and Thompson are rated for hibs he was by far the best midfielder on the park. Rankin Quiet game always looked sharp when he had the ball but never really got going. Wyness Played well with his back to goal but the Hibs defense were on top form and he had no chance with the high balls that were being played in. Dargo Neds to find the net... how he missed that chance fro the corner I'll never know but he will score goals for us this season.
