and incase there were too many words in my last post for you midge 55, I'll make it simple: NO
-
The previous thread saying the exact same thing Did you read one point that I posted on the other thread, I never once said that Christie was exempt from criticism but what I did say was that he deserves a chance to prove himself. The whole and entire reason that the board hired him as manager was because our last 3 managers have fecked off to other clubs and we needed someone that would stay loyal to the club. If I think that Christie deserves criticism I will give it out trust me but I am not going to start doubting him now waiting for the oppertunity to say "I told you so" if things don't work out for the club. From now on I'm just going to copy and paste my answers to these stupid posts because I just end up repeating myself :008: :008: :008: :008:

I've already gone through all this with you on a seperate thread and answered comprehensively against every point you have just decided to make again.... so do you actually want me to write up another response to this or are you just fond of repeating yourself?? Harry. This was posted for reasonable and intelligent people to discuss rationally. So, in answer to your question, no - I don't want any response from you. I am aware that you believe that no criticism of Charlie Christie is valid under any circumstances - and I have no problem with that. We are all entitled to our opinion - myself included. Broonie Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Black McBain Morgan Dargo Bayne I would have dropped Dargo if we were against anyone else but think he might be capable of scoring against his former team. Our defense is going to have it's work cut out against Scotlands most promising young player at the moment, Naismith... and then there is Wales, Invinceble, Nish, Johnston etc. Killie have a very strong team and we have a lot to do at the moment to prove ourselves.... game on!!

Maxwell Park.... aaaaaaahhh those were the days :005: -
I have been critical of Bayne in the past and suggested at the start of the season that he may not have what it takes for the top division but everything I've seen from him since he started seeing this sports psychologist (I don't know if that's had anything to do with it) I've been impressed with. I honestly thought he was the best player on the pitch in the first half but got a bit tired in the second after all the work he put in and who can blame him, he would have been aswell playing by himself upfront because Dargo was useless.... I can't think of one pass, shot... anything that Dargo did in the game apart from lose the ball and stand in an offside position for Tokley's pass. Rossco's Rossco.... solid, gives his all for the team and offers some support upfront whenever possible. He'd be a first pick for me every game
-
to be fair, is it not ICT & Falkirk that come to the agreement about the ticket prices 15 pound for an adult is steep for a CIS game 5 for concession is quite good though
-
Think Duncan & Morgan should definately get an oppertunity & maybe Rory upfont with Bayne just to show Dargo he needs to compete for his place in the team.... also Zander getting a chance at some point during the game I'd go: Broonie Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Duncan Black Morgan McCallister Bayne
-
I think because of the recent comments from CC suggesting he is finding it hard to attract players north of the central belt we need players like Tokely who is ICT through and through, it encourages other players to give their all ... and lets face it who else on the park would have punched Brewster :003:
-
not bad, think I might be tempted by the killie pies :005:
-
na not really, I think he was given a hard time but he definately wasn't the worst player on the pitch I'm just considering our different possibilities when Dodsy leaves
-
We end up sitting too deep when Caff plays because neither him nor Munro are ball winners, Caff may be the better footballer but Dods does the untidy stuff. Id rather have someone at the back making the important challenges than tryig to play football and with Tokely's passion for the club and heading ability IMO he could be a good centre half...
-
Rossco has got it spot on, It's pure laziness that Walter Smith doesn't come see us play and Mark Brown is more than capable of filling for the poor Graeme Smith What is likely to happen though is now that Rangers are playing a Scottish keeper he will get a call-up and Broonie will be over-looked again
-
Dods is likely to leave in the Christmas transfer window but Black has showed his intent to stay for another couple of seasons at least, which is no bad thing. If he is looking for a "big" move down south then he is going to have to perform well enough to attract interest and becuase he has signed a contract we're likely to get a decent fee for him. Dod's situation is completely different, if he does go at xmas then I hope CC has someone lined up to replace him because I don't think Caff is up to the challenge.... what about Tokley in the centre????
-
I was getting extremely pi55ed with that idiot sitting infront of us... he was 50 odd and all he did was slate the team, and half the time it wasn't merited... so in that regard you are not the worst and then you have Kev & Gord :008: :008:
-
It's all very good saying that RIG but you're one of the first to critisize players when they are having a bad game... and you'll find the same situation if not worse in every stadium in Scotland. Hibs, Celtic & United the crowd has been a lot better than the majority of matches last season and with the drum back in the middle of the North Stand it should hopefully get better. Our record at home is starting to improve and although we have not won a game at home yet we have only lost 1 which is an improvement on last season. Hopefully we can pick up that win against Falkirk on wednesday and carry on from there with our next home game against Dunfermline
-
Dargo & Wilson were very poor yesterdayand were probably the difference between a poor draw and our first home win. If Rankin is going to take all our set pieces in future he is going to half to show why in the next few games because his crossing was awful Our back 5 were their usual brilliant self but McBain probably would get MOTM for me worked hard and even managed to get a couple of crosses in2 the box :010: :010: We started off stronger and if we had taken our chances in the first half I believe we would have finished off comfortably. I thought Bayne was excellent in the first half tbh and considering he was against one of the biggest centre halfs in the SPL Kenneth hardly made a header all game. Towards the end of the first half we threw everything but the kitchen sink at the United goal and were extremely unlucky not to get a goal, why Rossco didn't shoot rather than passing to an obviously offside Dargo was beyond me but he made up for it by giving Brewster a dig in the ribs :003: :003: :003: :003: what a legend!! Second half we looked tired and started to loose our shape, Black and Rankin were both either attacking or defending but never sitting to pick up the play the centre of the park IMO we needed Duncan to do the simple stuff. We ended up pumping the ball up to Bayne due to the sucess we had in the first half but by this time he seemed shattered and was giving away needless fouls. Dundee United seemed to get egged on the more we got stuck in to Brewster, Robson & Proctor and played some good football. At the end of the day we had 1 major chance and they had 1 major chance the rest of the oppertunities were half chances and somes up what was an even game. At least we got another point on the board :shrug01:

some game... to be fair to celtic their doing a **** of a lot better than I thought they would!! Does this mean since we drew 1-1 with Celtic we're on par with Man United?? :016: -
If it means that we are going to be higher seeded for the next world cup qualification... then job's a good'n!! Even though I don't pay too much attention to world rankings it still shows that progress has been made by Walter Smith and his team.
