Well it has worked or the last 2 seasons what gives you reason to think otherwise?? Yes and there are plenty of managers that have started at higher level and maintained it. I expect after CC playing for, and working beside Pele, Robbo & Brew he would have picked up a thing or 2.... only time will tell how he will do but that is the whole point you haven't given him the chance to prove himself!!! Sorry... maybe I should have re-phrased that "the reason I have reacted so strongly" You aren't just questioning his appointment, you are saying he should step down and have picked a manager you would prefer to be in charge of the team, which "I take major issue with" Now who's you dishing out the insults??

You can't be much of an ICT supporter if you haven't realised that the key to our success as a club has come from continuity, with the players and management. There is only a hand full of players that were not in the first team 2/3 seasons ago i.e Wilson, Tokely, Brown, Wyness, Hastings McBain have still all progressed together, some might have left the club at some point but they all realised ICT's potential. We don't need expensive players with massive wage demands and a new manager to show our ambition, we will progress naturally and has we have done over the last 12 years. Levein had to make his start somewhere just as CC has, only I bet he didn't have supporters demanding he step down after realisticly doing nothing wrong. I watch a lot of Championship football and trust me Levein was found out down south, Leicester were uninspired last season and he can't say that no money was available the only problem was that he bought the same players that were at Hearts..... now that's ambition :006: The reason people have reacted so strongly is because you have insulted the club, and although you say you are an ICT supporter you really have little or no concept of what supporting a club really is. I am not disolutioned and if Christie did start to loose game after game and I thought we were in trouble then I would also post my doubts but if anything IMO the club has improved since he has taken the saddle, the teams performance at home if nothing else. How can you expect not to receive criticism after making such a ridiculous statement

How can a manager become experienced without being given an oppertunity to prove himself? Brewster & Robertson were both new appointments to a managerial role and they both took the club to new levels. I see no reason why CC can't do the same and I see no reason why anyone should be doubting him!! Personally I think you've got carried away suggesting we have a team capable of competing in Europe (at least not yet) we should be aiming to keep the team in the division and push for that elusive top six position, and that's not me being short sited. We have taken points from 3 teams that were above us last season which in a way is progress but obviously slipping up against St Mirren wasn't planned but there is no reason should be doubting the team/manager yet. We have no idea how we are doing until we have played all of the 11 teams in the league and until then your arguements are ridiculous especially since you are an ICT supporter :010:

I go away for a couple of hours and come back to this :015: I was booted out at half time during the hearts match so didn't see much of McBain and missed Motherwell but from the matches I've seen previously this season, I don't think McBain offers much going forward. He gives his all in a game but Hastings is more likely to get a cross in2 the box than McBain and if we are going to start winning our home matches we need to start bringing the game to our opponents rather than sitting back and trying to catch teams on the counter. If McBain did play I'd prefer to see him in the middle of the park don't really think he has done anything to deserve being dropped and doubt he will but for me Morgan is the more attacking option. RIG have you read any of the other threads that have been posted on over the last few days? It seems Bonzo, Sandy and a few others think we should get rid of CC and get Levein in...personally I'm sick of disagreeing

clicky for everyone to be suggesting we should get Levein in then I assume they want CC out I can understand what your saying Scotty and can't really argue it. This is the first time I've actually agreed that there is a valid reason for a seperate official site, I mean I can understand the odd "he's rubbish" but for certain posters to start a campaign to get another manager at this stage of the season seems extreme. Imagine any of the players or even CC himself were to check out the site, which I'm sure they do... to see their own fans loosing faith already, just getting sick of it

So it was obviously a good idea then I don't think I've ever been so ashamed to be an ICT supporter with the criticism Charlie Christie has received on this forum over the last couple of weeks tbh it's not suprising that the club decided to seperate themselves from the site. Only heard the first half of radio commentary & my m8 at the game said Broonie made a couple of good saves so was basing my opinion on the stats I heard. Still a lot better than Smith IMO

Hibs, Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Motherwell & St Mirren.... on paper we should have won against Motherwell and St Mirren anything from the rest would have been a bonus So 6 points sounds about right to me

It's about time people on ths site realised there is no such thing as a D-day for ICT, the job was done today and we obviously proved we're gonna be no wooping boys but all this talk of we must win is crazy. By all accounts it sounds that Graeme Smith had another howler today and once again it sounds like Brown was exceptional!! It seems every week Graeme Smith fecks up for Motherwell :006: Since Broonie seems to be in direct competition with Smith for a place in the Scotland squad how long is it going to be before Walter Smith realises that Mark Brown deserves a Scotland call up??
