Definitely John Greig
Definitely 6-3 in '78
Bit of a rushed job, the Scottish Cup tie, as Caley had won at Stirling Albion in a replay just a few days before. Happy days.
-
Have had my say about Caley but best Jaggie goalie I saw was Jed Reilly. He was pretty useful though it pains me to say it.
-
I think Billy Macdonald was the Caley keeper late 70s right thro the 80s. Nice bloke too!
An outstanding goalie. Pulled off one of the best saves i ever saw against Elgin in a Q-Cup Final at Nairn.

Just five - that's tough.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Damn the Torpedoes
A quality rock and roll album from start to finish. No duff tracks here and I still listen to it very regularly
Blondie - Parallel Lines
Mentioned by others and so easy on the ears. Ms Harry was of course very easy on the eyes.
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk
Just shades Rumours for me. Folky, moody, quirky - one to play late on a stormy winter's night.
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
It seemed pretty good back then and it's grown on me even more as the years have gone by. The Boss at his best.
Larry Norman - In Another Land
An eclectic mix of outstanding songs from the Christian rocker who died in February.

Cropley still getting a run out for Hibs.
He must be pushing 60!!!!

Quick bump of this thread to remind people of the Race Night on Friday Evening.
Thanks for bumping it up, Don. It may be of interest to some that we hope to have members of the new ICT Events Committee in attendence so come along and give them YOUR ideas.

Interested to hear absent friend refer to Culcabock as "the village" as I've only heard my father and uncle, who grew up there, describe it that way before. Hard to believe that not that long ago Inverness used to end long before Fluke Street but now it goes miles past it.

This season the ICT Supporters' Trust has again bought a group of season tickets in the north stand that can be used by children's and youth groups at ICT home games. So if you think your local school, scouts, BB's, youth club or other relevant group could use them then please give the Trust a call on 07879 221569 or email info@ictsupporterstrust.co.uk.
Ten kids' tickets are available and there are two for accompanying adults. There is no charge for use of these tickets and members of the Trust board meet each group outside the ground, make sure they get through the turnstiles ok and are shown to their seats. For some of those attending last season it was their first experience of a football match and one ot two groups came from further flung parts of the Highlands & Islands - even further than Dingwall!

it's that nugget on radio Clyde hugh keevins I cannas stand he said he hopes we get relegated because he hates the A9, what kind of a stupid excuse is that?
Keevins is a turd
It's a great excuse if it keeps him south of Perth!

Duff deserves another smiley purely for the comedy effect of the Rab C Nesbitt bandage he was sporting.
-
Bit harsh giving Cowie no smilies surely.
-
Any idea how many are left? Making the treck up and wouldn't mind geting my hands on one!
There will be plenty available outside the ground before the game priced ?10.

Cheers peeps. I've got a gig in Glasgow on Saturday night so it means an early start for the game on Sunday (if it's moved) or possibly missing it altogether. I can't mind the last time we played either of the Old Firm on a Saturday in the league.
The first game of last season spring to mind when Rangers beat us 3-0. It may be that they are waiting for the Champions League draw to be made. If Celtic have a game on the Tuesday after they play us, the game with ICT will probably be Saturday lunchtime. Otherwise it will probably be Sunday afternoon.

I did enjoy the books all those years ago and the Comic Strip TV rip off must be one of the most under rated comedy moments ever with Uncle Quentin a "screaming homosexual". It was hilarious. See it if you can.
-
Yep, I remember it as a 2-2 draw as well.
-
I noticed that too.
You're right. The arm up strategy was a regular feature last term.
-
I must be getting old. I don't think I've liked a Scotland strip since they moved to Diadora. They looked like a team you could believe in wearing Umbro. Diadora is fit for the welfare league.

When will tv companies start to realise that what fans want to
see is more of the game and less of pundits either spouting the bleedin' obvious or talking garbage?
Probably never.
-
A brave article in which I can find little to argue with.
-
This will, of course, be the fault of the rest of the SPL.
Can't say I feel guilty.

My own view is that any of four teams could be relegated - ICT, Hamilton, St Mirren or Killie. Despite the departure of Niculae I think we may well score more goals this season but have real concerns about things at the back. I expect a lot of high scoring games.
We need two things to happen to banish any possibility of relegation blues
1. Another good central defender - not a squad player but a big quality player to play alongside Munro.
2. A good start to build confidence early on. Looking for at least four points in the first three games.
-
Glad it's been brought to a conclusion. Good luck to Marius.

Barrowman could have had a barrowload. His finishing was poor but he has a real knack of getting into good positions. Once he gets a goal he could fly. Evans impressed with his desire to impress. He looked like he really wanted a contract. He may just have done enough to earn one. Jury is still out on Zadi as far as I'm concerned.
Most memorable part of the game were the extracts from Billy Nelson's new album. Numbers such as Westering Home to the Ferry and the imaginatively titled, Right Enough, had the crowd stunned to silence as they listened to the lyrics. Very funny.

Someone has to be I suppose :016:
SMEE, will we then deport the drunken Inverness True Blues when they go on the rampage next time we beat them.
Feel free to alex.....tell me...where do you intend to deport Inverness True Blues troublemakers to exactly?
How about Rockall? :023:
Being British means nothing to me. I'm Scottish and long for the day when England is an independent nation.

Watched with interest the documentary last night about the players from Hearts and other clubs that fought with the 16th Royal Scots in WW1.
Do we know if any Caley or Thistle players went to war and were killed in action? I suspect there must be at least one or two and perhaps their sacrifice should be recognised in some way.
