  1. You need to stop first. Or you could slam on the brakes and make the car think you're parked? how come? i hate stopping You shouldn't need to stop the car to select manual as the gearbox will have locks in place to stop you selecting the wrong gears anyway. I have an automatic and find the "manual" mode helps a lot in the winter. The trick to hills in slippy conditions is to keep the momentum going (even if the wheels are spinning), drive as smoothly as possible - no rapid changes in direction and don't ever slam on the brakes. whatever you do be very careful in the snow and ice - sometimes it's better to be safe and not travel at all !!
  2. Yeah - I can probably understand this point of view as people do tend to drink a lot before the game in hospitality not me of course
  3. I am a season ticket holder (me plus my son) in the family section. Even though I have these tickets, me and a number of friends often book up hospitality for key games - we were at the hospitality for the final game of this season and last season - plus one of the few tables at the last partick thistle game (we were match sponsors as no-one else would pay up for the privilege) - please don't generalise all hospitality as "prawn sandwich brigade" as me and my group of friends pay for this hospitality ourselves. I witnessed the Dundee fan being "asked" to leave and to be honest he was totally out of order in his comments given that he was sitting in a home section. As stated many times in this thread, hospitality is a vital part of the clubs income (we were 75 quid a head for the Dundee game) - why must people think that just because people are sitting in the hospitality, they are any less of a fan than anyone else ... or are any less entitled to be there.
  4. I was talking to Darren (commercial manager ??) at the hospitality for the Plastic Whistle match and he says they never switch it on just now as they can't afford to run it - it costs something like 5 or 6 grand a day to run ?? Not sure if the figures are right - but I doubt the lost revenue for having to play a few games mid week would be more than the cost of running the USH ?!?!?
  5. Cafe 1 and Rocpool were both booked up when I called round on Monday. The Heathmount is usually pretty good.
  6. I am stuck with no working TV in Holland. Any help on web broadcast
  7. My head says I'm 21 ... but my body says 38 ...
  8. 10CC would do a great job for us in the 1st division ...
  9. Wow ... is this 2 posts I agree with tonight ... I must be drunk!!!
  10. No WAY! Worse than the losing run under Brewster??? I have never walked out of a game early in my life, but I twice wanted to walk out after fifteen minutes watching that utter sh*t. We are a long way from being as bad as we were under brew ... but I think we were much better when Christie was in charge ... a lot of people said he should have cut his teath at a 1st division club ... well here we are !!!
  11. I agree with the sentiment ... no point in blaming players ... we need to re-group and push towards getting back into the spl !!!
  12. You buy the ice cream ... I'll build the sand castles !!
