Err...........Terry Butcher says
Manchester is certainly the place to be ? this afternoon?s 160th derby is the most eagerly-awaited clash for decades ? and the city?s very own Stone Roses sold out their reunion gigs for 2012 in an amazing 14 minutes. United are always so strong at Old Trafford and this season have already seen off Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea in style, so I believe Roberto Mancini may replicate the sad stalemate of November 2010 when a game of football threatened to break out but never actually did. With a two-point lead at the top of the table, Mancini will probably sacrifice his current attacking instincts by smothering the midfield and going for a draw. Balotelli and Aguero will not start, as City won?t want to be as open as they were in the second half of the ?Community Shield, but United have the edge ?recently, having won the last four home derbies. I think United?s forwards have too much class for the Blues and I hope that City?s wobbly defence does not become an Oasis in a sea of Red! So.............spot on then Butch? 6-1 to City was it? Maybe he should stop writing this stuff, it is just embarrassing, he's wrong on every single point he makes

English Premiership
Not really shocked. Utd can tear most teams apart if they are allowed time on the ball - and that is exactly what Arsenal gave them today. Men against boys it was. As for Spurs........I'm just on the train on my way back from that one! City clicked (I'm glad to say) and Spurs don't have a goalscorer (believe it or not Mr Romanov). The money City have spent means they have players who can think their way through a tricky game. Looking good for a Manc battle for the EPL this season......c'mon City

What makes you think there are any Utd fans in Manchester?

following allegations in Sunday newspapers about Wayne Rooney visiting prostitutes it is believed his wife Colleen is being comforted at their home by John Terry..............allegedly

Aftermath of Gers Manchester riots
from what I can remember of 1996 Manchester you'd have struggled to cause ?10 damage to it.... Apart obviously from regret about the injuries caused (my dad was shopping in Manc that day, thankfully unharmed) the bombing allowed the council to rebuild the City centre and greatly improve it.

Steve Coppell resignation
yep Coppell walked out on Man City after abut 6 weeks. from the Press conference at the time he looked in shock...he should have tried being a fan! Various reasons circulated (most of which I could not repeat here) but he seemed stressed out by the demands of the job. In truth as an ex-ManU player he was never going to be popular with the fans

great bit of football banter
ah well, maybe it' just me. That's the sort of (mindless yet amusing) banter you get when your rivals are on your doorstep. Utd and City fans are in the same pubs, offices and schools....that clip just parodies the sort of 'you're cr@p', 'no you're cr@pper' type of argument that goes on 24/7. Perhaps if the ICT merger had never taken place it'd still be happening in Inverness? I've certainly met fans of both Caledonian and Inverness Thistle who regret the merger and miss the local rivalry.

Goal Celebration
So you'ld rather let your team down and get sent off than quickly score a goal whilst the opposition are making idiots of themselves? you think I'd get caught? Old skool football, back in the 80s....you'd only get a warning for that
-
Goal Celebration
to be honest if I was in the opposition team and saw them doing that after scoring, the next tackle would be about 6 inches too high and about half a yard too late :_header: it's a bit over elaborate isn't it?

great bit of football banter
I've just been down to Manchester and this is typical of the pub debates going on. Can't wait for the season to start (language not suitable for work or kids btw !) Man City fan spells it out to deluded United
- England and the media.
