  1. I think you could moan if it wasnt in the last bit of the game and if ayr still had a chance to get something from the game. We won the league, so of course it was goin to happen. Had to laugh when there was only 2 guys tryin to stop the lot of them. Tokely didnt look too impressed but hey we have been through the horror of last year which makes going up this time that much sweeter for me. Have our party time now. At the end of the day no real damage was done so let the boys have a laugh
  2. As much as the board have taken so much stick this year, some very rightly so in my opinion, I have to say they played a gem of a mindtrick with Butcher's contract. I think it helped Butcher focus solely on the league and not to have to worry about next year. The players appeared to then fight that bit more knowing Butcher was going to stay and it appeared they had that belief in him. I disagree with some things the board has done but I think on this occasion they deserve some credit (I know i'll get shot down for praising them, but if your going to point out someone's faults then you also must point out what they have done well)
  3. Wasnt exactly our finest perfomance but at the end of the day i couldn't care less with the 3 points in the bag. Thought Morton tried to play good football and fair play to them because they presured our defence. Golly was lucky not to see red but despite us not playing to our best we scored two cracking goals. Front three were quieter than normal due to our hump the ball long tactics but i thought rooney, especially in the second half, showed some great control and was a great goal he scored
  4. It was always goin to take time for Butcher to get the team to the way he wanted and there was never goin to be immediate success as the boys he brought in had never played first team football. Fortunately he realised this, brought in some experience nd hey presto a team that looks like a championship winning team. It shows real determination to grind out results but not only have we been doin that but we have showed some real class at times too. Our front three and rediculous right now. They dominate each game start to finish and i think foran deserves a lot of credit for our form this season because he is a truely class player. Any man who runs his heart out for the whole game nd sets up the goal but still comes back to defend constantly, like yesterday at partick, is a man i would want in my team. Lets hope the boys belief remains because they have deserved to lead the championship with their current effort
  5. Have to say that was one of the best atmosphere i have been part of all season. What made the difference today was that everyone in the stand was takin part and the roar and the end showed how much it meant to everybody. Loved the subs faces when we started the "we're top of the league" chant. The players reaction at the end, Esson in particular, showed how much these boys want to succeed. Was a cracking day out and here's hopin the rest of the season stays this way. The whole team performed really well, bar eric who was just behind the play but i still think he has a part to play. Rooney is on top form these days and its not just his finishing thats got better. The control of the ball outside the box was top notch and set up numerous chances. Cant wait to trash the county now
  6. At the end of the day the team had to be knackered with the morton being their third game in the week. Even the teams with big squad tend to suffer with lots of games so close together. A wins a win and look at any championship winning team, they all had games that were ugly but they won them. I say winning ugly is a sign of champions but that may be wishful thinking
  7. I'm not a hater of lionel but after today he has got to go. our defence wasnt great but he was definately the week link. jonny has some great runs and was unlucky not to see more of the ball. rooney ran his heart out and was very close to a deserved goal. overall they probably deserved it but we had some great chances and it was only for their gollie being on great form that we didnt score. have to say though that the boys up the back did caley proud. dont think i will get "jimmys says aye to a killie pie" out my head for quite a while
  8. As far as im aware the team dont train 24 hrs a day so whats the problem with what he does with his free time. so what if he missses one afternoon session, the players dont just collapse when he's not there. when he misses a game for a scotland friendly then i would kick up a fuss but until then give the guy a break.
  9. I think its a disgrace how our fans turn so quickly. We got relegated so of course our standard will drop. Less funds = smaller squad = less competition = less quality. GET USE TO IT. Butcher shouldnt have reacted like he did but the constant abuse and moaning does my head in so its got to be worse for him. We cant afford to sack him so if you dont like what u see, dont turn up and moan, let the real fans get behind the team. How anyone can say he got us relegated it a joke. When brewster was in charge if u had offered me a game against falkirk on the last day to stay up, i would have bitten your hand off for that chance :P
  10. At the end of the day we need to start winning. after getting pumped last time our boys should be full of fight to show it was a one off. should be a cracking game with both teams goin for it. either that or its goin to be a long journey for me back to glasgow
  11. And the mystery deepens
  12. Surely you want players to be unhappy about not getting a start. if players all fight for their places then everyone's performance will improve. as for the scouts looking at cox at the albion, i wouldn't be too worried about losing him cos i barely noticed him throughout the game
  13. im just not sold on the idea of havin foran and sanchez up front. i would drop foran back to just behind a striking partnership of rooney and sanchez. rooney tries and fights for the ball and sanchez has the delicate finish. if rooney could hold the ball up it would give foran the space to make some runs instead of foran always havin to be the provider
  14. at the end of the day we have to be realistic. we are a first division team so we have to get used to the idea of having a smaller and weaker squad. either that or hope some russian billionare decides that he likes us. :(
  15. i would play a full strenght team. with less income this year for the club any sort of cup run could be useful the next transfer window
  16. Its the constant moaning from foran that is starting to annoy me. at one point their goalie dropped the ball at his feet but he was to busy moaning about the cross to do anything about it
