I'm really disappointed about this whole thing, Dods has always been a favourite of mine and last season he was exceptional for us. This season however my opinion has changed, he hasn't been playing all that great and this is probably down the the issues regarding a move away, however by handing in a transfer request he has admitted that he dones't want to be an ICT player any longer, I can't see how deserves a place in the team now. It would be a real kick in the teeth to the fringe players if he was to remain in the starting line up on Saturday if he's still around. I'm in two minds about selling him, one one hand I think it would be good to get the money now but on the other I really wouldn't like giving Brewster what he wants. My hatre for Brewster is stronger so we should either let Dods play for the reserves for the rest of the season or sell him to someone else. I'm confident Caff would slot in nicely alongside Munro and there's one of the young guys, can't remember his name, who looks like a decent prospect. I saw him play against Deveronvale pre season.

I heard something at the St Mirren game that may be the reason as to why he's gone. I'm not going to start spreading rumours but will say that it had nothing to do with his abilities as a player. Have to say I am a bit disappointed as I thought he looked good in the pre season game I saw him play in. With Proctor all but away we really need to make sure there's cover for Rossco.

I'd take that, we've never had a decent crosser of the ball since Robson left.

I have to say that although I'd be happy for the three of them to stay, I wouldn't be too gutted if they left. We have more than capable cover for all three of them, if the right amount of money is offered then we should take it. However, going by DS's comments I don't think he'd sell if they offered £10m and I respect him making a stand. The only thing that would bug me if we did sell is that United and Brewster get what they want.

I thought he was out of position far too much, kept drifting in to the middle when we were playing 4 at the back. He was caught out for their first as well. Granted he wasn't playing in his favoured position but he was making noises about starting there if Rossco isn't fit and I just don't think he did himself any favours with that performance. I still rate him as a defender and if Dods does go to United I would have no worries about Caff slotting in and doing a good job, he's just not good at right back.

The most worrying thing I took from the game last night is how woeful Rory and Denzil were, Rory did try but in my opinion he just doesn't have it yet but Denzil just wandered about the park and didn't look interested. But some of the chances we missed were awful, two open goals for Rory! Defence wasn't sharp I thought Caff had a shocker. But credit to Peterhead they scored 3 superb goals, Mark had nothing to do apart ftom pick the ball out of the net, no chance at any of them. Oh well, bring on the mighty Deveronvale tonight!! I just hope its cheap to get in, £10 last night was a scandal!!!

Me and mooncat are going tomorrow night, going to the Banff game on Wed as well. Last year we played Peterhead for the Buchan Cup, not sure if Deveronvale are involved this year or not.

My favourite image of this world cup has got to be the picture of Deco and Van Bronckurst after they had been sent off in the Portugal Holland match just sitting on the steps having a chat. Can't find a copy of that picture anywhere on the net though.

Its definitely a cake. Going to get a bit boring now but it was settled because of a VAT case. There's no VAT on plain biscuits or cakes but there is on chocolate biscuits so Customs tried to say that Jaffa Cake was a biscuit and McVities had to start paying VAT on sales. They went to court to claim that it was in fact a cake and used the reasoning already mentioned, when stale a biscuit goes soft whereas a cake goes hard. A stale jaffa cake goes hard so it must be a cake. This was accepted and it is now officially a cake! God, my tax module did teach me something!!

Russell Duncan has been a great player for us this season, yes some passes can go off a bit but every player has been guilty of that. The thing with Duncan is that you never really notice him when he's having a good game, its only when something goes wrong . And in my opinion that's the sign of a good player. The people who slag him off should watch just him for a wee while, bit like having player cam and watch what he does. I'm really glad he's signed up, well done Russell.

DU are going to have to pay these guys off if they want rid right away, and I'd say that they're all on pretty hefty wages so that won't be cheap. Thomson's already said that the days of throwing money at the club are over so if we keep our prices high they won't be able to afford them. Anyway, why would anyone want to go to Dundee??!!! :roll:
