  1. No. The deadline was last Friday - although clubs are allowed to add one new player not registered by that cut-off. We've obviously added the new 'keeper, so that's it for this round! Just remembered. the draw for Europa Q3 is tomorrow! Wonder who we'll 'potentially' get....
  2. It wasn't in 2005 - it was 2008. We didn't even win that game - it finished 1-1. It wasn't our first game against European opposition - it was our third. But, good thread!
  3. I apologise! So he is! Not for the first time, I got my Doran's and Foran's mixed up - I suppose I should also say a reluctant sorry for slurring the BBC! ICTPAISLEY, been checking the crowd for our first home game at the stadium (v Dunfermline) and it's listed as 5,449. I agree, it felt like there were more there! On Sunday, with the niggling injuries in the camp, I posted a 'worst case scenario' team: Esson Raven, Warren, Devine, Wedderburn Draper, Tansey, Polworth Vincent, Roberts Christie Subs: Mackay, Sutherland, J Brown, Ferguson + 3 others!! I doubt Foran's been 'sneaked' onto the list - I reckon I just had a 'blind spot' and failed to see his name! Anyway, hopefully, some of those injuries have cleared up for tonight.
  4. Foran's not been registered to play in the Astra games. Yeah, the BBC article suggests he's available, but it's just ill-researched presumptiveness! From what I can see, he hasn't been included. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2016/clubs/club=88279/squad/index.html
  5. Kyle Whyte has signed for Grantown, who play in the North Juniors (West).
  6. I don't think Calum Ferguson was registered with our Euro squad.

Plenty of column inches on Spain's top 2 'keepers, with Casillas moving to Real Madrid and hid deputy in the national team, De Gea speculated to be leaving Man Utd to go to replace him at Madrid. Spain are ranked 12th in the World Rankings. Wales are higher, ranked 10th - and their no. 2 'keeper could be coming to us! Surely bigger news! (if the FIFA rankings are correct....)
  8. Yeah, I'd noticed that and was particularly interested as Zambia is one of the countries yet to feature on the list! But the player in question doesn't seem to be a first team regular and wasn't even on the bench for Astra's league game at the weekend. But, the other countries have been 'done' with Morais, Camazzola and Nakamura!
  9. I know a poster offered a link to the game the other day - but I couldn't get it to 'save'. But, I'd rather have a 'physical' copy of it rather than a download anyway. Plus, it should make some money for the club. Say it was £9.99, then 5,000 sales would be a nice return. But I'm probably being naive and overlooking 'overheads', costs and such - CaleyD?!
  10. Out of curiosity, does anybody know when FC Astra arrive in Inverness? And will they be training down the Bught or do they get to use the stadium tomorrow night?

Davie Kirkwood has stood down as manager at Brora. I'd imagine that Stuart Golabek will take charge for now, but names already 'linked' for either manager/assistant are Barry Wilson, Ross Tokely and Grant Munro.
  12. Signed until the end of next season (2016-17): • Gary Warren • Richie Foran • Greg Tansey • Josh Meekings Signed until the end of this season (2015-16): • John Hughes - Manager • Dean Brill • Aaron Doran • Danny Williams • Ryan Esson • Ryan Christie • Carl Tremarco • Ross Draper • James Vincent • David Raven • Daniel Devine • Ali Sutherland • Liam Polworth • Lewis Horner • Calum Ferguson • Cammy Mackay • Nat Wedderburn • Jason Roberts • Dani Lopez ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Development Squad players available for this season (2015-16): • Calum Howarth • Jason Brown • Jaime Wilson • Kane Hull • Struan McArthur • Blair MacLennan • Chris Brown • Stephen Rennie • Chris Blackett • Daniel Hoban (goalkeeper) • Alasdair Stark • Andrew Macrae
  13. He obviously still reads this forum and has realised he wants to meet-up with the ICT supporters in the bars of the Romanian capital! But seriously, that's a great move for him! Maybe unfairly labelled as 'a headless-chicken' by some, his style obviously 'works' in Romanian football - after all, he was top scorer over there last season!
  14. A good effort indeed! He's making his debut in the British Open this week and is obviously in good form, and he's back up to no.73 in the World Rankings - equalling his career high.
  15. I think there was a similar question recently, and the answer then was that there were no plans for either leg to be televised.

It would make a good 5-a-side team! Toni Reguero in goals - with big Roman Golobart sweeping up at the back... Juanjo to start the attacking moves - with Dani Sanchez creating the chances for Lopez to net! We need a Spanish flag at TCS!
  17. I think we're all in agreement that they're certainly a decent side, but not 'world-beaters'. But, we have to be very wary and balance that with not giving them too much respect. Any win would be a great result to take to Romania. And a home first-leg 0-0 draw is certainly not a bad result. I'd still give us a chance at a goal behind, but two...maybe not!
  18. Agree. I notice the bookies odds are strongly favouring Astra! Can't find odds for overall progression from the tie, but for the first-leg in Inverness, Astra are Evens to win; we're 11/4. I notice Aberdeen are priced at 8/1 to win away against Rijeka in their first-leg. A cheeky £5 on a 'north' double on Thursday would see winnings of nearly £170 ! As for the game, I understand Yogi's frustration at the injury 'crisis' so early in the season, when our squad was already fairly thin. The Courier reports that there are doubts over Williams, Doran, Horner, Tremarco and Meekings. Also, if as assumed Lopez has signed, he should be eligible, but the 'paperwork' in Roberts transfer took a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if he were to miss out, also. Worst case scenario would see us effectively picking: Esson Raven, Warren, Devine, Wedderburn Draper, Tansey, Polworth Vincent, Roberts Christie Subs: Mackay, Sutherland, J Brown, Ferguson + 3 others!!

  20. Apologies, Tob, for the misleading KO time. I can only see it advertised as 1pm. It was on the Lossiemouth FC match secretary's Facebook page as 1pm certainly and on various other forums! I can only assume it was brought forward at short notice...or maybe just started early so the squad could get back in time for the St Mirren game! Anyway, good to hear that Richie is actually, eventually, on the road to back to fitness!

I haven't seen Ollie Norburn, so can't really comment on him. But, he's been released from Plymouth Argyle after struggling to become a first-team regular. Largely been kept out by, amongst others, Lee Cox. They're probably very similar players, competing for the same position - as using Soccerbase's 'player filter', they didn't feature on the pitch together in any of Plymouth's most recent 28 games. And Lee Cox made three-times as many first team starts as Norburn last season (21 vs 7). Not sure even Cox would be forcing his way into our first-team, let alone Norburn. But, football doesn't work like that!
  22. Jonny Tuffey has left Linfield and signed for Glenavon. He made his debut on Thursday in a Europa League game in Belarus.
  23. One undisputable fact regarding the attendance on Thursday, whatever it may be, is that it'll be a stadium record for a European tie!
  24. Romanian Liga 1 - FC Astra Giurgiu 2-2 Concordia Chiajna Lossiemouth v Inverness CT U20s (Saturday 11th July - 1pm) Inverness CT v St. Mirren (Saturday 11th July - 3pm) Europa League Q2 - 1st leg - Inverness CT v FC Astra Giurgiu (Thursday 16th July) Draw for Europa League Q3 (Friday 17th July) Wick Academy v Inverness CT U20s (Saturday 18th July - 2pm) Nairn County v Inverness CT (Saturday 18th July - 3pm) Romanian Liga 1 - FC Astra Giurgiu v Targu Mures (Sunday 19th July) Europa League Q2 - 2nd leg - FC Astra Giurgiu v Inverness CT (Thursday 23rd July) Europa League Q3 - 1st leg (Thursday 30th July) Premiership - Inverness CT v Motherwell (Saturday 1st August - 3pm) Europa League Q3 - 2nd leg (Thursday 6th August)
  25. Yet here he is with the 7 jersey! He must have 'inter-changed' numbers - before the current trend of assigning players' squad numbers they retain for the season.
