  1. I wasn't here last week, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that some of our supporters were refused entry to, or thrown out of Celtic Park last week for displaying some kind of Loyalist flag? I find it a wee bit sinister and disturbing. I'd hate to see ICT or any faction of its support become associated with the kind of sectarian bile that's become synonymous with football in Glasgow for over 100 years. . .
  2. Looks like Richie agrees with us as well, to be sure! Good article this....
  3. Lives are at stake on the A9 or A96 every day of the week no matter what state the roads are in. You could possibly even argue that more lives are lost on these roads in the middle of summer due to the increased speed of the traffic. As others have said the timing of this decision 3 days before the match was due to take place was farcical. And as it turned out there was absolutely no reason whatsoever why the game shouldn't have gone ahead. Just think about it.... We could have been on here right now having great fun arguing about the game went, about how bad the pies were, how useless the home support was, how inept the officials were, and whether we should have won by 3 or more goals.... And is Ross Tokely a man or a myth? Instead however, we've turned this thread into a petty, meaningless squabble. I'm off to watch Strictly Come Dancing now, to see if Ann Widdecombe will finally get her comeuppance.
  4. Totally agree with all of that.... If people want to travel anywhere they, and they alone, should have the right to make that choice. If I slipped and on an icy footpath on my way to a match and landed on my backside I certainly wouldn't blame the police, the SFA, or anyone else for not having barred me from travelling. My only concern with all this is that CaleyD and I have now agreed about something two days on the trot. That just has to be some kind of a record.
  5. Yes, unlike the vacancy at Aberdeen, that would concern me. I think TB would relish the opportunity of returning to Portman Rd again. Ipswich, in the early eighties under Bobby Robson were an incredible side, and TB was very much part of that success. I'm sure he would be very tempted if a vacancy was to arise at that club.
  6. Yeah, but some ambitious, career-minded idiot might see a move to Aberdeen as a move to a bigger club which could lead on to eternal greatness. Just look at what the likes of Sir Alex, and all the others who managed that once great club went on to achieve....
  7. I'd like to think that TB will remain at ICT until the time arrives when he feels he cannot take the club any further forward. Hopefully that time is still a long way off.... Good article here in the P&J which Caley Stan will no doubt interpret as further proof that TB is "keeping his options open"..! See here...
  8. They are being blamed for it..... and with some justification. The timing of their slanderous allegations beggared belief.
  9. That's an incredible gift you possess.....
  10. No snow in Paphos, Cyprus so far.....
  11. Absolutely brilliant!! By far the better team in the 2nd half - maybe even a tad unlucky not to grab the winner. Watched it on a video stream while basking in 28 degrees in Sunny Cyprus. Highlight of my holiday so far.
  12. It does make you wonder if the powers that be have thoroughly thought this one through. As I said yesterday I wouldn't be finalising travel plans for Parkhead just yet.
  13. I agree with most of that Bridge Ender, but it was little more than a white lie Dougie Mcdonald told Lennon in a vain attempt to protect his assistant. It wasn't like he was saying Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, capable of being activated in 15 minutes, that could pose a threat to our bases in Cyprus.
  14. Yes, but then he lied to the manager of Celtic Football Club, and a more heinous crime than that is unimaginable.
  15. Wouldn't there be more income from advertisers if the site was open to all?
  16. Stuart Regan (of the SFA) has announced that refs will be brought in from other associations in the UK, and is hoping that most SPL games, and the Alba Cup final will go ahead. Here's hoping a ref from the Northern Ireland FA will be taking the Celtic-ICT game!
  17. Yes. They're all members of the Ref's Association.
  18. Or an English or a Welsh ref if these Updated Comments are anything to go by. I wouldn't have a problem with an Irish ref - better that than no game at all.
  19. Wow!!! Chic Young makes sensible comments shock.
  20. Don't think anyone should be finalising their travel plans to Parkhead just yet. See here... Not a cheap from the dickheads at the SFA so far.... unbelievable.
  21. Johnboy

    Scottish Cup

Yeah... a great draw and it will have a real derby feel about it.... Not so sure about Caley Braveheart saying it's nice to get a home tie all the same!
  22. I think it will happen unless the pig-headed idiots in the SFA that administer the game, can, as a matter of urgency, sit round a table with the refs, and Celtic FC and sort out this unholy feckin mess.
  23. Totally agree with that - we're on a roll right now, and the last thing we need is an interruption to our season. Like Mahonio I believe we can earn that record, but really it matters not a jot whether we make it or not. What is important is that we consolidate our position in the Top 6.
