You're right about that, Grant was captain, although he wasn't wearing an armband. The gaelic commentators on the Alba Channel mentioned the word "skipper" when he scored the winning goal. That word was just about the only word I understood during the commentary - presumably there isn't a gaelic word for skipper. It's time that language was euthanised and consigned to the history books.

We've only had a few fleeting glimpses of the player who did no much to help ICT win promotion in the second half of last season - there are clearly major doubts surrounding his fitness. I think he should be rested until he his fully fit - playing two games in the space of a few days while carrying an injury could cause serious long term problems.

With the benefit of hindsight I'd have to say that turned out to be a pretty good prediction. Keep it up, old timer!

I can't think of too many occasions where he let his side down - with or without the captain's armband. To date, Foran's performances since taking on the armband have fallen some way short of being inspirational. Perhaps he isn't 100% fit just now, which kind of begs the question as to whether he should be playing just now.

On the other hand it could be argued that Richie Foran's performances have shaded a bit, since he took on the armband!

A local lad who puts his heart and soul into ICT and is rapidly heading for legend status. In my view he should still be captain.
