So no Keo brandy for Chrissie this year... either..... :019:

A Savage Appointment....
Splitting hairs a wee bit there, Alex.... Emmm... Are you going back to Cyprus later this year? :023:

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
The BBC have ruled him out? Once Donald has led us to a 3-1 win over Yinited on Saturday, and someone dangles a contract under his nose offering to double his earnings over the next 12 months.... It will probably be up to Mrs Park at the end of the day.... I suspect she'll tell him to take it.... :symbol_exclaim01:

Cometh the Hour
CC agreed to take the job on the job initially on a temporary basis... he was then talked into making it permanent after some decent results, and appeared to have the support of the players.... Who's to say history might not repeat itself with Donald..?

A Savage Appointment....
Sorry Johnboy, but I wish I'd thought of that one! What you.... Come up with an original idea like that..? Don't make me

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
I also believe Brewster could turn thing around for us quickly as he knows the set-up and almost all the players... A complete new guy would probably demand half a season to weigh everything up before trying to put his own stamp on things.... I would like to see him interviewed for the post, and on North Tonight, Bennett certainly didn't rule that out. It would be interesting to hear how he might think our fortunes could be improved, and how he would go about it.

Cometh the Hour
AND.... We'll be under new management in the shape of Donald.... :022:

A Savage Appointment....
Agreed - he wasn't a failure by any means, and he gave us some great moments... I supported the decision to give him the job and certainly don't blame him for our league position at this moment..... All I'm saying is we are now no further forward from where we were a year ago.... Paterson, Robertson and Brewster kept us moving up the way.... I don't think it's asking too much to suggest the next incumbent might, once again get us moving in an upward direction...

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
The longer this thread goes on I am now coming to the conclusion that it might not be such a good idea to allow the fans to choose a successor to CC as I suggested on another thread..... :024:

Positive Messages to Charlie
I am very happy to concur with all these messages of support.... Best wishes for the future CC...... :022: And thanks for the fantastic win against Rangers on December 27th.... That was a brilliant night for this city, and will never be forgotten.... :021:

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
Thanks Caley D - A good tribute to CC - Very reminiscent of Kenny Dalglish's departure from Liverpool when he quit because of the effects on his health and the pressure on his family.... Also good to know that Donald has been placed in temporary charge.... It will be interesting to see what happens if they suddenly string a few wins together under his control...

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
I wouldn't mind seeing Cooper's name in the frame.... Thete was mention of a press conference at 1pm today.... Does anyone know what was said?

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
A long shot indeed as are so many other names suggested on here...... At the risk of sounding repetitive is it not imperative we go for someone with experience and some kind of track record?
-
A Savage Appointment....
I didn't say or even suggest he was sacked.... CC always had my support during his tenure, as will the next incumbent to the post. All I'm suggesting is that he didn't take, or perhaps wasn't allowed to take ICT much further forward than the position they were in when he took over... I'll repeat, albeit with hindsight - The appointment of CC, as team manager was not one of the ICT boards better decisions.

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
To be fair to Brewster he did say at the time that Yinited (the club he supported since his childhood)was the only club he would have left us for.... I couldn't see him going back there again.....
-
Charlie Christie resigns
I think that Caley D's excellent & informed post (above) answers that one...

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
I'll second that..... :022:
-
Brewster NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
You're being a tad unfair now..... :rolleyes02:

A Savage Appointment....
The appointment of CC hardly turned into a success story did it? Some of the potential candidates banded about by the fans at the time might very well have created more success for the club..... CC was not, or would not have been the fans ideal choice to replace Brewster..... Was it not the cost of appointing CC at that time that greatly influenced the board's choice?
-
Brewster NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
But they're still hoofin' the ball up the park - the difference now is that Brew isn't there to collect it/shield it/do something with it.... :029:

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
This is going to be such an important season for us.... It is imperative we appoint someone with experience and some kind of a track record... :018:

A Savage Appointment....
It's his knowledge of football that concerns me, Smee.....

A Savage Appointment....
Alan Savage and his board of directors are now charged with the responsibility of appointing a new team manager. Do they have the appropriate knowledge, experience and expertise to make the right appointment? I'm not sure that they are suitably qualified in any of these respects.. In fact I would even prefer to see a comittee formed from contributors to this website to interview potential canditates, and make an appointment. Many supporters of ICT contribute significantly to the club's finances. Shouldn't they have a say? Comments please......

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
I wouldn't mind seeing him in the frame, even if he didn't do much at Livvy...
