  1. FAO : Immortal Howden Ender : What the sensitive one was trying to say is that it is all too easy (and very cowardly) to hide behind an anonymous pseudonym and direct as much bile and filth as you like towards anyone who, when taking to a football field, delivers a performance which falls somewhat short of being wholly satisfactory. He, (the sensitive one) was also trying to make the point that had McAllister been black, gay or Jewish, such remarks would have attracted the swift attentions of the Scottish Gestapo. The posters would have been traced and subjected to the full might of the law. As a white heterosexual male poor Rory hasn't stood a chance in this case. The sensitive one is however, grateful to the Immortal Howden Ender for not joining in the witchhunt - and instead choosing to vent his spleen on the tactical genius who sent young Rory out there in the first place. He is of course, absolutely right to suggest that the sensitive one's opinions are always correct and should never be questioned or challenged.. Finally regarding the assertion that the sensitive one approves of "making love, not war" and "loving our neighbours" is scurrilous nonsense... Just ask Kate at Number 31.....
  2. Ok... This will be my final comment on this subject or anything else on this site... Forget about Rory for a moment... What about his parents, his grandparents, other family members, relations, friends and neighbours and all others who take a keen interest in ICT because they know the lad. After all your sanctamonious comments on racism and sectarianism you can somehow deem it acceptable for that young lad to be described as "pish", "gash", "not fit to wear a Caley Shirt" etc, etc, etc, etc, on your website. Do you sincerely and seriously believe that allowing such comments to spew forth with such venom does anyone any one any good at all? How would you react if someone publicly described your work in such terms? I rather suspect you wouldn't like it. How do think your family would feel about it? Your excuse that you will not shut down this thread as you will run the risk of receiving a ****load of emails crying foul or censorship is utterly pathetic. I hope you might consider these comments - if only for a few moments, but I very much doubt that you will.
  3. Good one Alex - I totally agree... :022: Can we draw a line under this one now? Scotty..?
  4. I wasn't wanting to get drawn into this but it bothers me that so many are slagging off a 20 year old kid, who clearly has considerable potential. Hopefully his time will come, but it's certainly painfully obvious he's not yet ready to be on from the start of a high profile game, such as on Saturday.... I just can't, for the life of me see how all this adverse criticism on here, and the reaction from several supporters on Saturday can do his confidence any good at all. The whole team (apart from Fraser) was very poor on Saturday they should be criticised as a team - singling out that poor guy who was left on his own up front to face up to some of the finest defenders currently playing in the SPL was surely asking far too much from such a young and inexperienced player.
  5. C'mon Scotty, C'mon CaleyD... We've got nearly 3 fekin pages on this now - all saying more or less the same fekin thing.... :020: You were very quick enough to shut down "midfielder in court" which was actually generating some original and humorous comments... :023: Did you consider that thread was degenerating into some kind of a witch hunt? If it was, it pales into insignificance compared to this one.... :018:
  6. Ach - Yer all being a tad harsh here.... I thought he looked really lively when he came on on Saturday - Ok... so he didn't achieve much - but he certainly looked very lively.... :014: :rolleyes02: :014:
  7. Kingsmills might know somebody.... :023:
  8. It's virtually the same thing.... and it is certainly equally offensive.....
  9. Thanks for pulling it off, IHE..... You're very good at that... :023:
  10. I would be much happier to see him (Rossco) in central defence and coming forward for set pieces....
  11. I agree with Alex. He should start - hopefully he'll be anxious to show what he can do. If it appears he's not match fit he should come off at half time...
  12. I could be wrong, but I think that was the gist of IHE's contribution...... :rolleyes02:
  13. Probably.... :024:
  14. He's an absolute gem of a guy.... A gentle giant if ever there was one.... :014: If he broke both my legs in a tackle I'd be thrilled to bits as long as he signed the plaster casts.... :022:
  15. Strangely, early on Saturday morning, I came across Beasley & the other erm, guy Darcheville, gayly clad in tracksuits, doing a spot of loosening up in Fraser Park. (Fraser Park is opposite the Marriot Hotel where the Rangers party were staying) I was walking Shadow, our elderly pooch when the two guys jogged past us... Shadow hates it when anyone goes past him without offering a biscuit and decided to have a wee go at Beasley's ankle..... I'm wondering what kind of impression he now has of Sneck... Attacked by a dog on Saturday morning, and then Roscoe in the afternoon.... :014:
  16. Did anyone else notice the timings of Ferguson's goals on Saturday...? 16,90 Clever stuff, Baz....!! :023:
  17. Whatever tactics you go with you still need to have a few players on the park with some basic footballing skills.... I wouldn't accept that Walter Smith outsmarted CC... in fact it was a poor Rangers' performance on Saturday... The difference is they'll improve as the season wears on by virtue of having some highly skilled players in their squad, and who have yet still to get to know each other..... Thank God Blackie decided to stay with us at the end of last season.... :014:
  18. Well at least we can beat them..... :blah01:
  19. Grumpier than ever after that performance.... :evil10:
  20. Tactics, tactics, tactics.... They didn't have any options other than to punt the ball up the park and hope for mistakes from the Rangers defence... Man for man Rangers were far, far superior to us - they had guys who could run with the ball, go past opponents, who could tackle, who could make & receive passes and who could shoot... they were first to every 50:50 ball - light years ahead of us in terms of basic skills.... The difference between our performance yesterday, and the 2-1 game just after Xmas last year, must surely give cause for serious concern....
  21. I agree with the comment about Gretna (above) I just hope we're not going to go through the entire season hoping that whoever we are playing against will be even worse than we are..... :024:
  22. I saw it - the boy done good.... :023: Rosco spoke very well too.... He would have been my choice for captain....
  23. Just off the top of my head I can think of 11 positions..... :rolleyes02:
  24. There are better potential player/coaches than McSwegan around.... Shame Dods is moving on.....
  25. Rix was doing a pretty good job at Hearts.... I wouldn't mind seeing him back in Scotland....
