Scot Gardiner has Resigned The Inverness Courier have revealed that Scot Gardiner has resigned as CEO of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but remains at the club to work his notice and try to resolve issues after the clubs relegation. Maybe we can now move forward together as a club. Massive news coming out of the club (Inverness Courier) this morning. More to follow>>> Sandy Sutherland from the Wyness Shuffle posting on X: The damage done to the clubs reputation, finances, fanbase, community efforts, relationships within the town, recruitment and league status has all been pushed to the very edge and so much of that is on him. He should never be allowed into football again Achfary on CTO summarises thus: I'm surprised by posts saying 'fans/trust got what they wanted'. Over the last seven years, Graham Rae, Ross Morrison, Yvonne Crook, Scot Gardiner, Battery Farm rejection, Concert Company Ltd liquidation, Statkraft withdrawal, Kelty cancellation, Company House accounts overdue, Billy Dodds, John Robertson, Duncan Ferguson...and Ryan Christie having to buy footballs, it's the fans who get the bill because they expressed outrage alongside Duncan Shearer, Ryan Christie, Alan Savage, Roy MacGregor, Richard Gordon, Tom English, etc.? Don't distract from all that just because of a contrastive expression! ICT Supporters Trust statement: CLICK HERE Now more than ever does the club need everyone to stick together to move the club forward. If you are not already a member, joining the Trust is easy. CLICK HERE Membership is only £5 (£1 for Under 16s). Remember, the Trust is independent of the club, and has worked hard to ensure that the concerns of fans are heard and addressed. We have made good progress this season, and are grateful for everyone who has attended the successful Fans Meetings or contacted us with issues they wished us to raise. We will continue to work on behalf of our members.

??? ADMINISTRATION ??? The Board of Directors are in discussions with potential new investors into the club and remain hopeful of finding a new investor or new owners. However, in the circumstances we currently find ourselves in following the loss of the Statkraft contract at Caledonian Stadium which was worth 7 figures to the club and given the new financial position of the club, it is also prudent to approach a suitably qualified insolvency practitioner to advise on how we may proceed should our efforts to find new investment fall short. For clarity, on the football front, we have decided to remain training at Fort George for the foreseeable future. (can someone message Kelty to let them know) After all the cloak and dagger secrecy going on in the boardroom at Inverness Caledonian Thistle since relegation was confirmed on 18th of May, the club chose to have a three day media silence before Chairman Ross Morrison spoke, revealing nothing. Another three days passed before they announced this little gem and exclaimed their delight in a 'training deal' they had allegedly brokered with Kelty Hearts. This one stirred the fans somewhat more than being relegated. However, stubbornness and alienation knows no bounds and Scot Gardiner still lurks around the club, defiant til the end. Morrison then resigned his position on the 3rd of June, using the local press, citing his belief that the Kelty Hearts move was the only way forward. In keeping with the current trend, the official site has just given lip service to address some things, however, no mention of Morrison, Gardiner, player contracts, do we have a club etc etc. Their transparency is invisible. What an omnishambles! How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency. That's another fine mess you've got us into.

Chairman Ross Morrison resigns Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June. More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll. Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.” Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way. “I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help. “Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”

** NEW DATE ** Fans Meeting: Tuesday 28 May ** NEW DATE**
tm4tj replied to ICT Supporters Trust's topic in Caley Thistle
Apologies but I have come down with a nasty bug since Friday and won't be able to attend in person. Unfortunately I cant attribute that to the CEO or Chairman, but if they were both to leave I'm sure I would feel much better. Register my disgust at how they are treating loyal fans, local businesses, sponsors, youth players, the City of Inverness and the Highlands. We are now a complete and utter laughing stock. -
Tranmere join the race for Cammy Harper Turns out Killie are favourites. Cannae blame him for jumping the sinking ship.

I'm gone under this regime.

Going as long as ICTFC

This is the bit that really caught my eye in FrontRow's comment. So who exactly did these negotiations??? I think we can all guess.

What a farce we have become Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup. “As one major part of our planned strategic restructure of the club, ICTFC are delighted to announce an innovative agreement with League 1 side Kelty Hearts which will see the club move our training base to the Fife club’s New Central Park Stadium. This creative partnership will mean that we will hire their excellent facilities which include a 3g pitch, onsite grass pitches and offices for our coaching staff, as our training base during the week starting from this coming pre-season in June. FULL STATEMENT Once again nobody has listened to the fans, nobody has yet resigned and at this rate nobody will be attending games at the Caledonian Stadium. Do these people take us for fools. Well, obviously the answer is yes. From CTO "I think this has wound me up even more than getting relegated, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. What makes us ICT now? Where's the link to being a community club and getting a better relationship back with the supporters. So now we are a central belt team that visits Inverness to play. Absolute madness!! "Whilst I see an element of sense about this (there are other teams who have similar set ups), I feel for the youth players, who grow up in Inverness and the area and now have to figure out how to travel to Fife for training. "I am struggling to actually compute this, it's simply crazy. But highlights perfectly why change is needed at the top of this club. Think I'll be watching Clach next season. "This is not a result of relegation, it must have been planned for some time. What message does it send to local youngsters, who we should be developing to be our future first team players? Another sad day. "Clach will be looking forward to selling a lot more tickets. Lowest crowds ever at the Caledonian Stadium next season. The beginning of the end. "TBH I think that's me decided - I'll not be renewing my ticket for next season! They've killed the club! "If we move the entire club to Glasgow we might not get relegated ever again. Doesn't mean we should do it. Some things should simply be off the table. The literal point of a football club is to provide a focus for the community it resides in. "This cannot be allowed to happen. Time to empty the club of these clowns and start again. If that means part-time in the Highland League then so be it. Sack the board. "Over the last couple of weeks, my favourite expletive seems to have become the word 'Horsesh*t" and this falls into the biggest pile of it I have seen. ever. How do we get enough people or voting percentage together to force an EGM? This cannot be allowed to happen. It will kill the club completely. Supporters Trust? I thought Gardiner could not top his previous debacles .. Pixellot, the Concert, alienating staff, players and supporters, not to mention relegation but deary me, I underestimated the man. This puts a cherry on top of the whole bloody lot, a really huge bloody cherry! "I still can't believe what I have just read from the chairman. Is he living in different world from the rest of us? I have been a season ticket holder for many years but if this farcical situation is allowed to go ahead then I will definitely not be renewing This could be an interesting meeting. If you have not already done so, pay your fiver and support the Trust. Given the significant concerns voiced by fans about relegation and events within the club, the Supporters Trust is holding a Fans Meeting at 7pm on Tuesday 4 June at the Caley Club. All fans are welcome to attend the meeting, where members of the Supporters Trust Board will lead a discussion on the serious issues facing the club, update on recent activity by the Trust and hear your views on steps the Trust can take at this time. The image contains details of the meeting, including QR codes where you can register to attend the meeting (this is optional), join the Supporters Trust, or make a donation to our Stronger Together initiative.

Well deserved to be honest. Really coming into his own now. Not only that, he had to conquer all the loan players. He will only get better and has a bright future ahead.

Read the full statement HERE "We have been working for a number of weeks on a comprehensive restructuring plan for what we believe is the best way forward for ICTFC, details of which will be announced in the next few days, but following last night’s Board Meeting, I can confirm that the club will remain full-time next season and I thank everyone in advance for showing some patience as we make sure that plan is finalised". Key Points from initial Statement (only 3 days late) Club to remain full time Focus on long term stability More news to follow. (this must be the tip of the iceberg!) So far, this is not the news the we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better.

RELEGATION STATEMENT After three days of media silence, Chairman Ross Morrison has released this statement on behalf of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. "We cannot thank our fans enough for the fantastic support they have given the team, both at home and away, through-out the season. Your commitment to the Club is an inspiration and one of the foundations that will support us going forward". They released a song apparently Everybody's talkin' at me I don't hear a word they're sayin' Only the echoes of my mind People stoppin', starin' I can't see their faces Only the shadows of their eyes I'm goin' where the sun keeps shinin' Through the pourin' rain Goin' where the weather suits my clothes Bankin' off of the Northeast winds Sailin' on summer breeze And skippin' over the ocean like a stone

Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24
Uncomfortably Numb Shambolic Inverness have hit their darkest day since their formation in 1994 after being relegated to League one by virtue of being humiliated and embarrassed by Hamilton Accies at the Caledonian Stadium. Yes, you read that right, embarrassed by Hamilton Accies. It had been predicted for months that this was the poorest side that Inverness have fielded since the early days. Nobody listened, especially the board and the blame lies squarely with them. Duncan Ferguson is not blameless in this saga, his style of play and lack of knowledge of the lower reaches of the Scottish game have been there for all to see. Loan deals no better than what we already discarded, and players with no heart for the battle. Players played out of position, strikers that can't strike, defenders that can't defend and a lack of leadership on and off the the park is the perfect recipe for relegation. And so it happened, not a surprise, but still sickening given our financial plight. I'm not sure many regular fans still have the energy to get behind this regime. We are all looking for wholesale changes, but will it happen. If they have any decency then they will walk tonight, turn off the lights and lock the door behind them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late. A lovely day ruined by a game of football! FULL TIME 2-3 ACCIES PROMOTED 5-3 on aggregate. Good luck to them. League 1 for Inverness next season. Comfortably Numb! Nothing for us to get excited about, so here's Accies celebrating their return to the Championship. All we can do is hang our heads in shame having let the name of Inverness Caledonian Thistle down More match reaction to follow when I get over the humiliation>>> Date: 18/05/2024 Venue: Caledonian Stadium Attendance: 2800ish Referee: Euan Anderson Inverness CT: 2 (3) Manager: Duncan Ferguson Lineup: Ridgers; Carragher, Boyes, Savage (Alex Samuel 46), Longstaff (Austin Samuels 77), Kerr, Lawal, Anderson, Harper, B Mckay (MacGregor 71), Pepple (Brooks 80) Subs (not used): C Mackay; Duffy, Ujdur, Scorers: Kerr (31), Alex Samuel (90+8) Booked: none , Sent Off: none Hamilton: 3 (5) Manager: John Rankin Lineup: Lyness; Tumilty (Hewit 46), Owens, McGowan, Longridge (Kilday (62), Henderson (Rose 89), Barjonas (MacDonald 21), Williamson, Martin (Murray 89), O'Hara, L Smith, Subs (not used): J Smith; Hastie, Hendrie, Winter Scorers: O'Hara (8, 41 pen), L Smith (12) Booked: Tumilty (43), Williamson (51), Martin (82) Sent Off: none a- 1 comment
