Killie Cup Tie 10thMarch
Jim Calder holds the record for collecting a shot at least a metre over the line in a Killie Scottish Cup tie and carrying on as if it was not a goal. However Mark looked pretty confident when it looked like he had dropped it maybe 6 inches over the line.

Killie Cup Tie 10thMarch
Tactics!! It was important to make the team looking for their second semi final of the season look like world beaters and help their Manager believe his fantasy about winning the cup. You may be struggling to remember us starting a match so badly but you will certainly remember how poor we were against Queens Park yet the history books will show we beat them 3-0 on our way to the Semis.

Killie Cup Tie 10thMarch
What is remarkable is the low level of hype in the Highlands. In days gone by reaching the QF of the Scottish Cup was seen as an amazing achievement. However, apart from the Club, it seems like it is just another game. The pressure must be on Killie as McInnes states to reach their second semi of the season. That said, I would imagine Dundee United gaining a point at Livingston in mid week focussed the Killie players minds. What is more important - SPFL survival or a Cup Semi? Here's hoping our players have practised penalties just in case.

Accies Away Feb21st
Something is seriously wrong at our football club.

Carson epitomises fighting spirit. If everyone had bits of his DNA we would be more successful. Hope he does not end up long term injured by playing on.

Accies at Home Feb18th
Getting rid of Dodds would cost the Directors and/or the Club quite a bit so he probably knows he's safe. Manager of the Month, then outstanding win at Livingston, brings back Samuels who had little time to influence things. Disaster.

CUP DRAW ICT v Killie
Whilst on a sunny Saturday ' INVERNESS THISTLE 3 KILMARNOCK 0: (Scottish Cup 3rd-round, 9 February 1985) In the days before the merger that produced what we all know as Inverness Caley Thistle, a shock that is still regarded as Killie's worst Scottish Cup defeat took place at Kingsmills Park. Inverness Thistle's performance led to the Highland League side's pitch being littered with blue and white Killie scarves at the full-time whistle after goals from Dave Milroy, Gordon Hay and substitute Brian Fraser gave The Jags a stunning victory against their senior opposition.'

CUP DRAW ICT v Killie
Some of us recall going down to Kilmarnock midweek for a cup game and the match called off after about 20 minutes because of a frozen pitch.

CUP DRAW ICT v Killie
....back to serious league business now. Hopefully by the weekend of the 11th March we will have Austin, Roddy, Max, Shane and Tom back. However, the Championship is brutal and nothing can be taken for granted.

Wee Jobby Gone
Odd sacking although there are issues at Partick that are not fully evident. He might save Motherwell.

Livi Scottish Cup
What time does the Scottish Cup sixth round draw start at? The sixth round draw to decide the quarter finalists will take place on Monday - February 13. It will begin at 5.30pm - meaning Darvel and Falkirk, who play later that evening, will both be involved. If Falkirk beat Darvel what chance we draw Falkirk to revive memories of our 30th May 2015 win? Falkirk would be well and truly up for revenge.

Livi Scottish Cup
3-0 against Queens and remarkably repeated today. Hope more supporters now get behind the team as Deas returns and others will shortly add to our resources.

Just to add more spice ....July 2022 The Hibees are facing an early exit at the group stage of the Premier Sports Cup competition after Wednesday’s draw with Morton. The Championship club took the lead before Ewan Henderson’s equaliser ......Hibs have effectively been kicked OUT of the Premier Sports Cup after fielding ineligible Rocky Bushiri. The result will be recorded as a 3-0 win to Morton. Scottish Cup rule 12.5 states only those players signed for the first match can be involved in the rescheduled game.

That is an extremely fair assessment but we have had little luck this season. We currently would have a free weekend during the next round so game time against a team we caught cold in the League Cup would be no bad thing. In addition being awarded a 3-0 win against Queens would keep our unbeaten run in 2023 intact. All of this would provide significant motivation to play well this Saturday. Owen Coyle has been a manager both here and in England to know selection rules.

Inverness CT -V- Queens Park - Sc Cup 4th Rnd
So Simon Murray is destined to play against Inverness but Ross County pay Queens a decent sized transfer fee. Murray departs the Kingsmills for the City of Dingwall just before the Queens players prepare to board their bus to the Caley Stadium. In a very squeaky voice the former manager of Ross County tells Euan Henderson 'you are now playing' and the boy plays extremely well. This might be an occasion when we thank Ross County for their wealth because had Henderson stayed on the bench and Queens still won, the penalty might have been a fine.

Queens Cup ***GAME OFF***
Ross County would love to be still in the Scottish Cup..........anyway, Raith Rovers this Saturday is now far more important for us.
-
Queens Cup ***GAME OFF***
Misread the SFA website - games go to extra time if level at 90 minutes. That means game might finish at 10.30 pm.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Austin is close to a return. George was basically out of his depth with us so good to see him move on.

Queens Cup ***GAME OFF***
If we can avoid defeat and injuries against Raith this could be a piece of luck for the club allowing more players to return. In addition I think it could a cracking cup tie with maybe a plum in the next round. Unlike Andy Murray this morning finishing at 4 am, the cup match will finish either before 10 pm or just after 10 pm if it goes straight to penalties after a 90 minute stalemate. The long term weather seems reasonable. Let's focus on Raith - they are playing really well at present.

Aberdeen's League Cup win against ICT 2014 - Considine won it with late push on Richie Foran!!!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46362879 There is a lot in this article but silence on the fact Richie Foran was about to head home the winner with a few minutes to go but was clearly pushed by Considine. The referee that day was Steven McLean. However, he also missed this 'Meekings’ handball from Leigh Griffiths’ header in the 3-2 semi-final victory against Celtic was not penalised by referee Steven McLean at a crucial stage in the game.' Griffiths subsequently imploded but McLean had a good game yesterday...
