  1. A touch of this would be nice...............https://www.killiefc.com/classic-matches/09-02-1985-inverness-thistle-a-scot-cup
  2. Our targets are clearer now. Acquire a few more points to stay in front of Partick, and then try and beat them in the play offs although expending lots of effort will be wasted if we are not in good shape for the two playoffs. See where that takes us. Kilmarnock will be champions and we cannot catch Arbroath. Raith are weak and will not catch Partick.
  3. ....Ross County now sitting 5th ......................
  4. We have to be realistic that Raith are in some turmoil after the David Goodwillie situation. Dunfermline are now up for a fight. Yogi will have them really pumped up. One would hope, that after our very dismal run, and good fortune against Raith, that the team responds positively. We need to win this game partly because the week after is free because QOS have the cup final.
  5. Just watched the highlights and Shane had a hand in all three goals. Probably his best game for us since returning. Raith will be as relieved as we were yesterday to get a first win for months so next weeks game will be interesting to say the least.
  6. Optimism indeed. Ironically, if somehow we beat Arbroath it could create a run. Fourth place now looks respectable and if we were able to create a winning mentality, play offs might prove a chink of light. Few would see that as realistic but using Ross County as our model, they were bottom of the SPFL until quite recently.
  7. OK to be planning for next season but we must avoid a play off at the bottom of the league. Unlikely, technically possible, and only unrealistic because we started well. Dodds picked up Manager of the Month, preened himself as a TV pundit, and the players became more and more frustrated, all the while as Ross County emerged from crisis to top 6 challengers. Where did it all go wrong? We cannot see the reasons but those running the club must surely know but perhaps because of employment contracts and budgetting feel their hands are tied. Billy, it is easy being a pundit but managing a team seems to be beyond you other than when you are Assistant.
  8. We must wear pink and beat them. We must wear pink and beat them. ....We can beat them, we can beat them, we are going to beat them...................we will beat them!
  9. As a reminder here are a few details about the Managers appointment - https://ictfc.com/billy-dodds-appointed-ictfc-head-coach#:~:text=Inverness Caledonian Thistle are delighted,on a 2 year deal. What we do not know is what he promised at interview and whether the contract can be broken for poor performance. Richie Foran's termination came at great cost to the club.
  10. This one of those days when you want to wake up and find that Billy Dodds has done the honourable thing and resigned to concentrate on his media work where he can blether away ad infinitum.
  11. Manny seemed a decent guy but just did not achieve. Probably reasons why. However, February is traditionally the month that a good run needs to start. It is now or never now I suspect and the freshioning up of the team has to be good news - I hope.
  12. We certainly have injuries and the vacancy created by Montrose's latest signing to contend with, however, Arbroath are a fantastic example of maximising the team effort. It would be great if we could revisit the form we started the league season with and gain revenge over Dunfermline at a time they are desperate for points. We owe Yogi and Dunfermline nothing. Let's hope minds and bodies are focussed at 3pm Saturday to get us back on track.
  13. This a disappointment to say the least - 'Hibs have loaned winger Daniel Mackay, 20, to Kilmarnock for the rest of the season.'
  14. ....and now 'fined £2,000 for drink driving after initially trying to hide his £182,000 salary in court ...claiming he had suffered a tyre blow-out after police found his badly damaged £50,000 Audi Q7 parked at the roadside.' How not to set an example by a Captain.
  15. Great news that he has been released.
  16. Pretty harsh comments from some members - we do not know the effect COVID and injuries have had on the club so this point is very important. Next weeks game is where we must recover and perform.
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/59661528
  18. We must not get too cocky because COVID could cause havoc with fixtures.
  19. We must not get too cocky and screw up against Hamilton next week - hope we have learned from early season at the top. This is the best way to punish any side which provides dirty and sub standard changing facilities!!
  20. Reece needed a confidence booster so hope he now moves up a gear.
  21. Excellent link. First class presentation and great that we have Robbie here.
  22. Good signs from the game that we had learned from perhaps getting a bit too confident being at the top early in the season. Two cup games coming up where we will be playing different football so that going into December we may be re-energised. Optimistic that we may have re-discovered ourselves but mindful that QOS is a happy hunting ground and they now appear favourites for relegation.
  23. Pre Christmas offers - roll up, roll up, get your points here!! That's it, Doddsy's beginner's luck has expired and whilst there may be confidential issues behind the scenes ICT went from non-league to the SPFL by attack and fight. Now is the time to re-think and re-energise even with a reduced squad.
  24. Disappointed that Douglas Ross not running the line today. Amazing that he applies the rules but then does not follow them himself. Must be a cultural thing.
  25. We need time to reflect. Being at the top was something few of our players have experienced too often. Killie can have the pressure for a while to allow our players, management and supporters to work out how to move forward. This is a marathon and we have only just started it. We must recall how we eventually got our act together and over hauled Dundee in the famous Championship win. Going to Partick will be an interesting challenge. Even if we lose heavily, and that must be a real concern, we will stay second but the rethink has to assess how to stabilise and rebuild. Still a great start to the season.
