ok, what have City (who, I must confess, I have followed as a season ticket holder for nearly 40 years before I came home to Scotland) done...........that other football clubs haven't been doing for years? Regarding Lescott, City put in 2 bids that were rejected, and now the player has asked for a transfer. Nothing illegal there. As for money ruining football.......did you kick up a fuss at Man Utd, Blackburn, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers buying success? And that's just the recent UK clubs. If so well done. I agree, it would be great if every club could only play with sqauds they develop, but it has never happened. for the past 100 years clubs have bought players from other clubs. The money today is indeed ridiculous, but if 50,000 people paid to watch you work 'live' + millions on telly you could reasonably ask for extortionate wages. A level playing field would be great but I've never come across one yet in any walk of life. And I should add in defence of the club I spent a small fortune on over the years, in the past 10 years City have had 27 players from their Youth academy play for their first team in the top 2 English divisions. I'd be interested to see anyone show that Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Rangers or Celtic have done the same to develop talent? What City are doing is not affecting Caley, if it makes a foreign league more competitive just sit back and enjoy it I have actually said the same for the other clubs. I, was everyone now knows, am a Celtic fan and i belive, along with the rest of the green Brigade, that capitalism is wrong and a small percentage of people having so much money is wrong (The green brigade are the ones that had the Teves banner with the money and "Welcome to Modern Fooball")

Look at this. The Swis and Ukraine are ahead of us! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_World_Rankings

This is descrace. Im sick of Man City and greedy footballers. No Loyalty, none at all. Sick of it. Football is run by money. Discrace! Modern football is a descrace to the great tradition of football being a Working mans game. Lescott is now another name i will add to my list of footballers i cant stand.

I think that will have a major impact. But i think also the fact we arnt playing against the same quality of strikers.

Thats a great article. Very good to see people writing things like that and trying to get their point across. Not just sitting in silence.

For goodness sake man, the two sides of the sectarian divide in question ARE the "Rebels" and the "Loyalists"! I would have thought, with a background in the East End of Glasgow you would be perfectly aware of that and not have to be educated by people from the Highlands where, outwith the Portland Club, this kind of nonsense is utterly foreign. Have you read the thread? Im saying that Certain songs cannot be classed as sectarian as they do not Discriminate or intice hatered.

Well i am banned from the bus you spesh! But anyway. Yeah im not doubting McBain but Foran and Sanchez should be the ones starting.
-
Yeah i noticed the women that used to stewerd in the north stand outside before the game. Last season at Tanadice the stewerding was 5hite, they treated us like criminals! Aswell as having a hang over, i had to put up with these muppets in bright yellow jackets telling me to take my feet off the seats, and when we scored i was told to sit down as soon as i shood up! They wouldnt let my drum in either. If most of us stand up theyre is nothing the can do, theyre will be alot more of us than them hopefully. Well considering there will only be about 5 of them i sure hope theres more of us!

Not singing Celtic songs but a group of ICT fans were singing the words "fenian b'stard" towards Celtic fans during one match. I wrote to Mike Smith with a complaint and he was extremely helpful. It felt like sh!t sticking in my fellow supporters but I would love to see the back of bigotry in the Scottish game and I would be a hypocrite if I never. The point I was trying to make was that I would prefer not to hear some of the songs that DornochCaley believes are not sectarian coming from our fans. (maybe just a wee effort to drag the thread back on topic) As i said. The songs i belive are not sectarian still shouldnt be sung at football grounds. If the SFA want to charge fans for what they call "Sectarian singing" i think they should change it to plainly NO REBEL SONGS OR LOYALIST SONGS! That covers all the songs which are sectarian or not. Simple! Just to clarify, you have quoted my reply to DalnieghCaley. I was quite happy with your previous reply, as far as I am concerned you are free to sing what you like so long as you are doing it where it is not going to cause trouble, ie in the privacy of yourself and like minded people. Ahhh right. My apologies.

Cheers for seeing my point. In terms of the songs. I dont want to comment TOTALLY on my views on them or we will be here all day but i will say that i have no problem them being sung out side. But Rebel or Loyalist songs have NO room in football. They should stay away. Kept for another day when the football isnt on. When im at ICT i try and keep Celtic at the back of my mind.(Appart from the halftime score lines)

B) :cute01: Brilliant.

I don't have a problem with who you support, it's totally up to you, but I am interested in understanding your reasons for supporting two football teams in the same league / country that's all. Sadly, as DalneighCaley says, a lot of our support feel the need to "support" one of Rangers or Celtic and have ICT as their wee team. Personally I think, despite what you say, if you admit to being a Celtic fan first and foremost then your support for ICT can, quite rightly, be called into question despite any protests you might have over that. But it's your choice and I don't have a problem with whatever you choose to do. Well, as i said, i have every reason to support Celtic. My whole family are Celtic fans from Glasgow, im a Catholic. I think i have more reason to support Celtic than most up here do. Most support an OF team just so they can Celebrate winning something.
-
I admit. Until the Falkirk game i was really only an Inverness Supporter. But after going threw the Emotions of Relegation, it really brought me closer to the club. BUT, i think i will always be a Celtic fan first and foremost.
-
But surely by also supporting ICT you are "rejecting my upbringing" and you have quite easily stopped supporting them from time to time? No, i have always been a Celtic fan. I always be a Celtic fan. I dont see what the problem is tbh. I started supporting Inverness when they were in the 2nd division. They and Celtic where Worlds appart and was little chance they would play each other on a regular basis. BUT as you all know. ICT got promoted and they did play each other regulary. But at that time i was attached to both teams too much to just stop supporting one of them.
-
Nice one, it used to be murder up here being the only ICT fan but I see more and more ICT tops about. A breath of fresh air these days. Its good. Me, Lachlan(DornochJaggie) and Tom(TtotheOtotheM) always walk around with our tops on. Everytime we walk past a County fan we like to remind them how ***** there team is.
-
Why don't you just support ICT? As thats completely rejecting my up bringing. I have been brought up a Celtic fans since day one. And when you have come so attached to a club like i have to Celtic, then its not easy to just stop supporting them.
-
Glad you chose ICT as your wee team but being from Dornoch, why not C*unty? Like most of the others around here when ICT were a division 2 team. Because my Granny lives in Inverness and my Uncle used to take me to the Caley games when i was younger. They were 2nd divison at the time.
-
Is it that ******* hard to get threw to you lot that i have ALWAYS been a Celtic fan. But when i moved closer to Inverness i decided to Support my Local team also? FFS!
-
Yeah but i also support Caley. Most people who support an OF team up here dont want to support a little team like Inverness. So instead of supporting their Local team and Celtic/Rangers. They just stick with Celtic/Rangers.
-
Sutherland/Foran? Must be an error. Did you mean Sutherland/Sanchez? Foran has to start.
-
Ach Pish. Cricket is pure shyte
-
No not really. The reason i do it is because i dont really like it when you get loads of Rangers fans in the Caley end who are 100% rangers and Celebrate when They score. So i go one about. As Inverness and Celtic are my two fave teams.
