When Inverness Play Celtic. I admit. I am slightly on the Side of Celtic. But im not botherd if caley win. Im actually really happy for the team when they take something off Celtic. Atleast i dont wear a Celtic top to the game. I have seen scores of Rangers fans with Rangers tops under a Jumper at Rangers, Caley games.

The SFL is more exciting. Look at it last year. There where only 7 points or so seperating top from bottom at the midway point of the season! Thats better than two teams that run away from the rest every year. I do support Celtic yes, and there are plently of sectarianism which IS wrong. But the point im making is that ignorance in the SFA and the Goverment means that people are being banned from football games and even arrested for singing songs which are NOT sectarian. These songs, may they be rebels or Loyalist tunes. They cannot be counted as sectarian so i think that they should change it so atleast when poeple are arrested or charged for signing them its for a valed reason. Not the pish that the song is sectarian.

I have been a Celtic fan my whole life. Family are From the East End of Glasgow and Catholics. But i dont doubt my support of Inverness. I have been supporting ICT since they where in the 2nd division. Do you not think its good that you have someone like me that has become and inverness fan instead of doing what most do and say "Ach ****** little team. I will stick with Celtic/Rangers"?

I heard if you join the Rogart angling club that they have a beat on the Helmsdale, get yourself down the rocks at the beach DC, some good fishing down there Ok, cheers Birdog. You wouldnt happen to know how i could find out prices for the Rogart club? Ask at George Campbell's Outdoor shop on Castle street. The Dornoch angling club have some good lochs too but if it's sea trout or salmon you are after then you need to get on to a river. Ok, cheers pal. The Famine song is racist. You wouldnt sing this about Blacks so why is it ok to sing it about Irish? Only in Scotland will you fine something like this. Also, we dont have free speech as such. If we did i would be able to go to the queen and tell her to **** off and say whatever i like to her. I bet 20 quid i would be throwen out for it. Meaning they are tryign to shut me up. Which means no free Speech. The Goverment let you say what they want you to say. Before you go off onto a rant read the thread, my point is that if this thread is racist as the law says then God save the Queen is also racist. I agree that Songs about the IRA and such have no place at a football ground. But i dont think you arrest people or fine clubs for singing certain songs. Some songs are sectarian and racist but being a Celtic fan, i know that there are alot of songs classed as Sectarian and they are not. Sectarianism is bigotry, discrimination or hatred arising from attaching importance to perceived differences between subdivisions within a group, such as between different denominations of a religion or the factions of a political movement. If that is Sectarianism, why are so many songs stopped? Most songs that are sung at Celtic park which are classed as Sectarian are Praising men who fought and died. They remember those who died at the hands of oppressors. Those songs are not sectarian as they dont discriminated or talk about hatered of a Race. It makes me laugh at times. I love Flower of Scotland. But this is worse than some of the songs classed as Sectarian. It talks about rising up against the English and stuff. Yet most Rebel songs are about Rememberance. I must concede some Loyalist songs are also about rememberance though most i have heard are about killing catholics and jumping on our heads.

And you cannot compair this to Fields of Anthenry. The Fields is a song about a man who has been taken away. The song is not supporting Rebeling either. Its stating that this man micheal, rebeled against the crown.

I dont think it should be alowed in Inverness. I am a Catholic, and also an IRA sympathiser (I dont condone killing of innocents, i support the cause they fight for). If these people are alowed to Celebrate the battle of the boyne and use it as a tool of hatered against Catholics such as myself then why arnt we alowed to Celebrate the Easter Rising and the men that fought and died in that? My uncle was taken way in a Police van a few years back on easter sunday for Walking around with a "Remember the Rising, our day will come" T-Shirt. Thats Criminal. You cant let one side march and not let the other. Its not as if we even won the battle in the easter of 1916! So we could hardly use it as tool of violence. A march would be used as a Memorial service. We wouldnt want Trouble. (I use the term we meaning, Irish, Catholics, Sympathisers, supporters of the cause)

The Helmsdale is pretty good. I think you might need to be a local to fish on it though. My grampa fishes on it. Its not half bad.
