  1. Ridgers had no idea what their use was.
  2. Absolutely.
  3. Not to mention the shameful and unrepentant behaviour of the Raith Rovers owner earlier in the season in signing an unapologetic rapist.
  4. The speaker principally complained of was Bill Copeland, a criminal defence lawyer who supplements his income on the after dinner circuit. I have to declare an interest in knowing and not particularly liking the said gentleman.
  5. Very well deserved indeed. He has played a large part in the turnaround in our fortunes.
  6. Disappointed but not in the least surprised to read that at least two tables walked out of the Scottish Football Writers Association annual awards dinner in the couse of the keynote speaker's 20 minute speech allegedly litered with grossly offensive sexist, racisit and homophobic 'jokes. Well done to those who were brave enough to take a stand and shame on those, including many of our most prominent journalists and broadcasters who just sat there and laughed. No wonder we are still struggling to get women and girls to participate in our game and no wonder that the many gay players, professional or otherwise, are terrified to be open about their sexuality. I thought that we had come along way from the days when bananas were thrown at the feet of Mark Walters without any comment or condemnation from the likes of Archie Macpherson. More disgrace and more shame on Scottish football. Once again great credit to those, mainly although not exclusively women, who had the courage to make a stand and call it out and who will, no doubt, even now be getting vile abuse on social media as a result. We can't leave it to women, people of colour and the LGBTQ community to deal with this. It's not a problem of their making and we all need to work to fix it.
  7. I Googled 'Tractor Boy' and all it came up with was some previously obscure and recently resigned Conservative MP...
  8. He still has East Fife Cowdenbeath and Kelty Hearts as options if he wants the full house of leading Fife teams to disaster.
  9. Although, from a personal point of view, I will blow the tenner I placed on us winning all six play off matches. Was hoping at current prices, to buy a full tank of petrol and a litre of vegetable oil !
  10. Although today's results in the Premiership all but assures that Perth it will be.
  11. Congratulations to our former manager on his 100% record in getting Fife teams into League 1.
  12. In all fairness, Kilmarnock did not steal the league...they bought it.
  13. We rode our luck a bit, especially in the first half but thoroughly deserved to win the tie over both legs. That's the job a third done. A well rested Arbroath will almost certainly be a tougher prospect and, should we overcome them, the Perth Saints tougher still. We will have to up our game and cut out the heart in mouth defensive lapses but can definitely do this. Time to think about the next round tomorrow but, for tonight, time to celebrate.
  14. To be fair, I don't think that anyone associated with the club is taking victory in the tie for granted with the prevailing mantra being 'still work to be done' and the very good reason that there is indeed much work still to be done.
  15. Actually, for once, it was the othrr way round stemming from when The Rangers were in the playoffs. No confidence that this rule was introduced the week before their match at Ibtox. Made sense then that a million pound + gate should be shared. Makes far less sense now depriving clubs with very limited budgets of money hard earned and should be repealed.
  16. Congratulations again to The Rangers in reaching a European final so early in their existence and overcoming many challenging opponents on route. The fans of the predecessor club have twice utterly disgraced themselves and brought shame on Scottish football on similar occasions in Manchester, which many will remember, and Manchester which we will all remember but probably not as much or with such bitterness as the poor citizens of Manchester and Barcelona which some of us are sufficiently 'mature' to recall. Please this time support your club with heart and soul rather than heart and (red) hand. I would genuinely like to see the team return with the trophy and the fans return with reputation enhanced. Well done again for some remarkable results and performances on the way.
  17. Another display like Tuesday but on a better pitch and with Carson, Broadfoot and Ridgers making fewer mistakes and we will be fine.
  18. I am hearing we are in line for £100,000 which will be very handy whichever division we are in.
  19. Last night was a good start but promotion is still 5 tough games away. To progress we will have to be fully committed for all 5.
  20. Away goals don't count, does that mean it's actually 1-0 to Partick ?....
