I do find it a bit mad all of this though. Considering sacking him before the final which in itself is a great achievement. On top of that he has lost one game in about 10 games? I haven’t studied the stats tonight but it can’t be far off that.

The only worry I have is if he does leave after the final we have no time to get someone new in settled and ready to set up some transfers.

If Dodds is leaving he should be telling us now and we should be getting someone lined up to take over. Same goes for if we aren’t renewing his contract, tell him and get someone in ready to go.

6th place looks rubbish but I’m taking that with a pinch of salt when I look at how close he was to second.
 

I worry for next season with most of our best players out of contract though. I’m not really confident anyone is going to come in and win over our support who expect us to be winning this league.

A big overhaul is needed and it’s going to be one big gamble to see if it pays off.

Looking at the squad signed for next season if we don’t get Doran to agree another year I worry we’ll be starting off very weak in that department.

What’s Dodds record against premier league sides for us anyway ? 

3 times in 20 years a manager has got more points than Dodds in a season. This season was his best points total since we were relegated.

To be honest it suits me. Gives us a better build up on the day. Obviously I can see why people up north would object but it’s better than the early kickoff which I was almost all but conceding to.

I know it’s been said before but I just don’t get it. They should be in with the rest of the fans and building an atmosphere rather than ostracising themselves in the west stand.

I just think going in as favourites to our first semi is throwing everyone off. It’s harder to enjoy it when you’re expected to win. No one wants to miss out on a Scottish cup final and Falkirk on their day could spoil the party. 

I hope we get an early goal to settle the nerves and get to really enjoy the occasion. The way the team has played these past 8/9 games they deserve it.

I genuinely feel sick at the thought of this Semi. I know we’ve had a good run of form recently but I can’t help but think what if we lose? Going in as favourites to our first semi final adds so much pressure, and if I’m feeling it then I wonder how the players are coping.
