i think it was a great rear guard effort and if anything we could and maybe should have nicked something. Saints just started lobbing it forward and if we showed a bit more composure with our passing and not tried to rush it we may have created a few more chances. We still have the advantage and the other have tricky matches still to play as we do and i know i would rather be chased than having to do the chase

I think County are the threat. Saints have to now play 2 away games and it has been there home games that got them in the top 6 so away to United who they struggle against and then away to celtic to so they may struggle to get lots of points there. County have celtic next week and then go to motherwell. If we can beat motherwell then it means they have to win that game to confirm second place so county have it hard. We have to home games i know we have a terrible record against them but i dont think we will be that open this time. United at home could go ever way and then the derby it could be that game that sort out europe.

quite pleased with the last 10 mins hopefully we can keep the ball better and st johnstone have to tire if they keep trying to play that tempo may nick on the break

no longer a rumour it was confirmed on the bbc that he has passed a medical and signed a 3 year deal

the results do suit us and it sets up next week perfectly as it means we can play counter attack. ST Johnstone cannot afford to sit in to hold us for a draw like they have in the previous 2 matches. They have to go for it so there should be more space for us to play
-
never really likely to do anything but 4-1 was abit of a disaster but the game of the season is now next week. Hopefully county and saints will cancel each other and then if we go and sort sts out next week then we are just about there so lets forget and prepare for the european 6 pointer at Mcdaimaid

i think even though the money may go down there is talk that sponsors and tv were willing to put more money in meaning in this structure so far with the money we get then all clubs in the spl will drop but if there is this cash injection then everyone would increase on the current financial distribution but i dont know if this cash injection was true and as it is it wasnt passed so it doesnt matter. But i said this the other day i think the stakes for the full time clubs in the first division is to high for this to have failed so expect that the status quo may not be the way forward i think SPL 2 could finally be considered

To me St mirren seem to be the bad guys. Stuart Gilmore said that the 11-1 voting system should be gone and i couldnt agree moreBut an statement by the SPL just now seems to suggest that there was an agreement to reduce it 9-3 but as it is thrased the same two clubs voted against. Why has st mirren done that when that is what they objected to and why would county object that to, it seems today that clubs tried to make concessions to get through and they still rejected. Disgraceful i was never a big fan of the 12-12-18 with a lot of clubs stumbling block being the reset points in the middle 8. I agree that is fair but why were the other two leagues not going to be reset. I would have been very angry if say Caley missed out in europe because the team getting the spot accumalated points against the weaker teams that didnt even play in that league anymore. But the major ideas of wealth distribution, merging into one govening body as well as pyramid and play offs. Once the structure is in place you can start to build and if 12-12-18 is abysmal then we can change it much easier and that has now gone. I dread to think what will happen to the first division clubs now they needed that money.
-
I think SPL 2 could be around the corner he first division clubs are not going to like this as they need that money just look at Dunfermline so even if it doesn't go through we haven't heard the last of restructuring

watched on tele would have loved to be there i could the singing section on the tele. We didnt perform well but i think a lot of that was to do with St Johnstone forcing us to rush and and play longer balls and when we attacked they gave very little space as there wingers tracked back and made it 10 behind the ball with maclean up front on his own. we did lack a presence up front which he did try to remedy by putting foran alongside mckay but it obvious that we were being over run in midfield so we had to pull him back I think the players had an off night but doran frustrates me sometimes. He is a great player and i hope we get that contract signed sealed and delivered next week but tonight he was looking to cut inside a lot where it was already crowded, instead i would have liked to see him take on his man wide and drive to the byline. But it is a point better off and after a pretty poor performance it is a great point

What do YOU make on League Reconstruction?
gingerjaggy replied to CaleyThistle's topic in Caley Thistle
The voting structure will go if reconstruction is passed as it will become all 42 clubs and not just the 12 SPL clubs voting so yes the 11-1 will disappear that will be as all the clubs will be under one body and not two which is at current -
What do YOU make on League Reconstruction?
gingerjaggy replied to CaleyThistle's topic in Caley Thistle
not many people if any are happy with the proposals but it isnt the format of the leagues themselves that is important it is that we get one govening body which will make change easier in the future and better money distribution to stabalise clubs finances. So what if it becomes a flop, with these bigger changes in the background then the league structure itself can be changed much easier in the future without all this hassle. -
I see that the pars have released players what do people think about Joe Cardle as i think he was dunfermiline's best player when they were in the SPL would it be worth getting him in

i think a drum makes a lot of difference to the atmosphere, one arguement i have heard is that it drowns out singing but if it was used to create singing then i dont see the problem. Having the drum makes a noise which is better than hearing a being able to hear a penny drop and we may get 3000 odd supporters at most home games but if a few hundred were making din courtesy of a drum i think it would easily create a better atmosphere but well done to everyone on sat it sounded great

mfr saying it was never a pen and robbo saying it was a shocker but the fact is we should have had a pen at dingwall so swings and roundabouts

I think it is harsh to say that. yes we probably should be winning but Dundee has a new resolve under brown. They look much better in organisation and team structure and with the confidence of a couple of wins they are scoring a few. A draw wasnt ideal but it means we havent lost any ground in the battle for the top 6. Maybe we need a change is formation maybe go 2 up front to mix things up but we still have decent players who will still give it there all and if we win at home next week we go back ahead of them and almost guarantee top 6. We have no right to expect to win any game, they are fighting and are going down with a fight but next week will take care of itself lets do it people
-
Big derby next week but that is a big goal from mckay as it means with the other results that n damage done we now level with saints and one behind county but a win next week and the top 6 has to be almost sorted big big derby
-
andy shinnie smashes one off the bar looks like we are putting some pressure on
-
celtic beating county now comon caley lets get a goal
-
The result was very important we still hold a 4 point lead over 7th place and united themselves. We have a chance to move 7 clear if we win the derby with a possible 12 points left to play for before the split. A win would have been cracking but i couldnt care less if motherwell or st johnstone get ahead at this moment in time as it is so tight that as long as we get top 6 then we can concentrate on the push for second afterwards.

the flag just means that we are supporters of the our clubs and should be given more respect s they are milking the fans for every penny basically an objection to hearts over the top prices
