First of all, I am well aware that the ban is competition specific. What I have seen and told is that the because he changed country it would apply to the first game of that very season. All we need is the FA to confirm or deny that to be the case. If it is the case, we move on. If it isn't the case then we pursue even further. Maybe you'd like to share with the rest of us what you have seen. I and others have read through all the rules, that are freely available online, and we can find no reference to any punishment being carried across associations. From talking to Ewen Murray on twitter and reading the Jambos Kickback forum suggests that to be the case however while writing this I do understand there would be an obvious agenda for both sources to be in favour of Hearts. Like many of you, I would love an explanation to put this all to bed and we can move on. My personal opinion is that Danny Wilson was suspended for the game on Saturday and the SFA/SFL had no clue. Only until Hibs fans brought this to our attentions. If we fight this to the death, we could gain something out of this.

Not to nit pick or anything but it was a straight red that Wilson got for denying a goal scoring opportunity.

The only governing body that can make or break this situation is the FA. Hearts are banking on the suspension being served on the first league game of 2010/2011.

No I mean taking it to the court, if the FA say he never served the ban in England.

Hypothetically, could we do the same thing Rangers did with regards their transfer ban?
  6. ICTRoughi replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Yeah but the SFA are the ones who registered Danny Wilson's loan.

That's better. I wonder who the discussions were between this afternoon?

What first game of what season? What 25 man squad? Wilson has not served a suspension in the competition he was suspended for. He was sent of in the League Cup final and went south at the end of that season. The year that Danny Wilson transferred to Liverpool, people were saying he served the suspension then cause he wasn't included in the squad. The same year the 25 man rule was included in the EPL, Danny Wilson wasn't named in the 25 but as he was under 21 he could play at anytime. With Danny Wilson not being picked for the squad for their game against Arsenal I'm 2010, it makes it easier for them to say he served it. End of the day, the ban was competition specific. We need the FA to speak up about this.

Not sure if he was part of the 25 man squad but he was definitely not listed in the starting XI or as a substitute. And as has been pointed out already, he was not listed as suspended. Is a Journo really gonna remember if he was suspended? Found this also http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1308165/Liverpool-25-man-Premier-League-squad-2010-11.html

People are saying Wilson served it on the first game of that season. Just crossed my mind, was Wilson part of the 25 man squad?

He wasn't a penalty taker. Zaliukas, Ngoo, Novikovas, Touil and Webster took them.

This needs to be fought to the death. It's clear as day he was supposed to be suspended. I actually wonder if the SFA may have consider this in a more serious matter if Celtic won yesterday.

What's annoying me about this is that fine fair enough the boy had a clear certificate when he came back to Scotland but they won't bother their arses to actually find out from the FA if indeed he actually served the ban. The club can ask the SFA but the vital question is being left unanswered - Was the ban actually served? It's happened before. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-472843/Ban-glee-McCulloch.html Sure it's a technical glitch and we lost on the day yada yada yada... however Danny Wilson played 120 minutes of football and played a part in an equaliser. What would have happened if he served his ban? We could of been at Hampden in March.

That report suggests to me that SFL are saying its not our problem. Ask the FA. I hope the club investigate this further.
  15. One Terry Butcher was sung during the game today, time it was sung was irrelevant.
  16. Fantastic game especially the second half. First half was very sluggish but it's understandable considering the 2 week break they just had and I thought Aberdeen were the likely of the two to score. Second half was so much better and we dominated the game - credit where credits due. There's a great spirit within the squad at the moment and like said up there. "Long may it continue" I whole heartily agree with that. Bring on Hearts and Let's go and paint the town Blue and Red next week
  17. GK: Fraser Forster RB: Ross Tokely CB: Scott Boyd and Charlie Mulgrew LB: Fitzpatrick RM: Chris Humphrey CM: Iain Vigurs and Scott Brown LM: Richard Brittain ST: Higdon, Gary Hooper
  18. Correct decision in the end.
  19. Feck driving to Auchterarder at this time.
  20. Just for you Don, more twitter *****.. @TyroneSTV: Terry Butcher is on his way back to Inverness with his future still unresolved. He's set for talks with his backroom team
  21. @Walkerpw: I'm told Terry Butcher is flying back to Inverness this afternoon and will talk things through with them. Decision expected around tea time.
  22. @TyroneSTV: #inverness boss Terry Butcher has yet to make a decision on whether to accept the Barnsley manager's job
  23. Chanting was involved..... Can't be County fans..
  24. Personally I don't want to see Big Tel leave Inverness cause this season has been spectacular and he thoroughly deserves to finish it off in style. However, we have to be realistic. If he does decide enough is enough and heads down to England then so be it. I thank him for his services at ICT and will also be proud of what he has achieved with us. In terms of replacements, I see a lot of ex players being branded about. Yeah, that's fine but the lack of experience would worry me. I would like to look to the future and not the past. Paul Hartley is a good one, doing well for himself at Alloa learning the trade but is he ready for the SPL, I don't know. My outsider choice would be Gordon Strachan. I know it may be difficult to obtain his services but would provide the experience and knowledge for the coming months. End of the day, I hope Terry Butcher is manager of ICT until at least the end of the season.
